Lee Hughes

We need an experienced striker and i see Lee Hughes has just been released from Oldham

He seems to be a half decent player with 25 goals in 51 starts for the Latics but ended the season on loan at Championship side Blackpool where he played 3 games and scored 1 goal

I am not sure on what kind of wage he would need but seems a good shout

thoughts?

I've never heard of him, however i'm sure Terry Butcher is aware of our problem and has plans afoot for when we stay up.

He is an english striker who was jailed for causing death by dangerous driving in 2004 and was released in 2007, i know he has bad history with this jail sentence but surely everyone can get a second chance???????

Joey Barton seems to be on about his 102nd final chance so i agree with you there.

but surely everyone can get a second chance?

Apart from the people he killed.

He was a Kevin Philips style goal getter until he got jailed. I would find him hard to cheer on. I don't think our board would take someone like that on anyway.

Did he not play for West Brom at the time of the car crash?

but surely everyone can get a second chance???????

What just like a paedophil getting a second chance just after 5-10 years in jail

Any news on this guy? Is he our misterious 2nd English Player?

According to Wikipedia, he's a striker.

Edit - Also according to Wikpedia, whilst in prison he converted to Islam. ICT better not sign him then. He might blow us up!

The original poster said he was a striker

Yeah I know, but Caleymad said the second English player, who are both midfielders apparently (though Cox can play as a defender as well).

Cox is predominantly a right back
