RECEIVED FROM ICT FC on 3rd June 2009:
"Join our quest to bounce right back to the SPL" - that's a direct quote from Terry Butcher and I can tell you it is also very much the aim of the directors of the club.
We have swallowed the major disappointment of being relegated; we move on and build for fresh success. In doing so, we have been significantly heartened by the great empathy of the people of the city and surrounding communities, who recognise what we brought to the SPL in the past five seasons and how hard we battled.
Messages of encouragement have poured in and we greatly appreciate them and hope they will be translated into brisk season ticket sales. Luck was against us in the end, but we look forward, not backwards, and our strategy is firmly set on our stay in the SFL being as short as possible.
Against the backdrop of the priority of seeking excellent attendances to cheer on the side, we have devised an innovative and affordable season ticket package which I commend to you. We have reduced the main stand adult season ticket by ?100 with similar reductions across the board. It represents outstanding value for money. And, mindful of the credit crunch environment, we are extending our credit payment service period from four months to nine months, so you can 'spread the pain' quite considerably - and with no deposit. In another innovation, everyone who takes up a season ticket will have a 10 per cent discount for the following season if we are back in the SPL. You don't even have to come to the stadium to renew your season ticket - you can now do it online at www.eticketing.co.uk/ictfc from your own home.
We are very much a community club and your directors are keen to grow the future fan base, so there are fresh moves in this direction. Children under eight will again be admitted free of charge, but now each adult can take two children of that age group in free to all SFL games. A new category has been created for 8 to 12 year olds in the Family Section with a season ticket for only ?25 - which is a 50 per cent discount on the child season ticket price. So they will be paying little over ?1 a game while those aged 13 to 18 will pay the equivalent of only ?2.77 per game. It all adds up to a great opportunity for boys and girls to be guaranteed a seat at all our home games.
The target is for a season of entertainment and achievement, culminating, as in 2004, with the First Division trophy being won. I hope you will come with us on our First Division journey as we endeavour to make it the fast-track route to where we belong, the SPL. As an existing Season Ticket holder, you have until 5pm Friday 3rd July to renew your seat; release seats will be on general sale from 9am Tuesday 7th July.
