Russell Knox

Scored a record equalling 59 yesterday in the 2nd round of the Boise Open in the US. Great round and he speaks with a slightly more American drawl when interviewed by US commentator ;-)

Well done - hopefully goes well in the next two days and the rest of the season.

Russell was also a talented footballer who was with ICT from age 12 to 16. He gave it up to concentrate on his golf - Wise boy when you see the money he is making!

I hadn't heard about his 59!! WOW. I'm sure that equals the lowest ever round in golf.

He finished 20th in the web tour final event last weekend so has got his pga tour card for 2014 as the top 50 get a slot.

Doing well at the Honda Classic at the moment....hopefully he can keep it going over the next two rounds

He's had a good 3rd round and is now in 3rd place going into the final round, 3 shots behind leader, Rory McIlroy!

I was just looking at his World Ranking history and he's currently 205 with a career high of 200. He's certain to break well into the top 200 now, I'd imagine.

A good final round today and he should get a good payday but more importantly some well earned Fedex points - not had too bad a start to the season so far.

Well done in the end - was going well but one error at the 14th cost him. The water played havoc with a few of them coming down the last few holes and it made for an exciting finish. He did well to stay composed and make the play-off. Goes down as a T2 finish but another $400K and up 24 places to 19th in the FedEx Cup standings. Onwards and upwards....

And a huge leap to no. 119 in the World Rankings! He'll be eyeing Ryder Cup at this rate!

Currently tied 7th going into the last round of the RBC Heritage

Finished T9 in the end - another top 10 finish though

Must surely have broken into the top 100 after that.

I see he has accepted an invitation to play in this years Scottish Open in Aberdeen. Hope he wins it.

He finished 24th at Congressional last week-end, 3 over par. Final score spoiled by 3rd round 78. Winnings so far this season at $1.3million. Well done that loon from Culloden Academy!

He's doing tremendously well!

Wouldn't it be terrific he got one of the 3 'Captain's Picks' for the Ryder Cup!?! I feel sure that if a Scotsman hasn't qualified automatically, then one will get chosen...

That really would be icing on the cake

Currently I believe the 2nd ranked Scotsman in the world rankings after Gallacher. A big ask for this Ryder Cup but certainly in with a shout for future events if he can keep his current form going.
