I do hope Devine's decision to consider other options is not driven by comments from fans on this forum.  A small number of folk have been pretty harsh on him.  And in defending Raven against the appa

I wouldn't be surprised if it was all of them - if we were sensible and stipulated that the player's wage will be cut substantially in the event of relegation, you would expect that to be reciprocated with a clause allowing the player the choice of whether to stay on that lower wage or move on. It's hard to imagine any agent agreeing to a contract that compells his player to do the same job for less money without at least the option to take a better offer elsewhere.

Don't forget loss of TV money, potential loss of sponsorship, hospitality income etc. Relegation, financially, as an utterly horrendous issue for the club to have to deal with. There's talk of a significantly improved TV deal from BT in the very near future as well which we stand to miss out on if we don't get back up at the first time of asking.

We're going to find it harder to recruit players and there is almost zero coverage of the Championship now that Rangers are in the Premiership (we've all seen how quickly BBC, BT and Sky dropped any kind of live games or highlights).

As much as I love Foran there is absolutely no way that he should have been allowed to continue to oversee this shocking decline in the clubs fortunes. We absolutely had to stay in the Premiership and it shouldn't have mattered who was in charge we simply could not afford to allow relegation to happen. He should have walked after the 3 - 0 defeat to Accies instead we stuck whilst others twisted and we look set to pay a very heavy price.

I would have said the writing was on the wall a long time before the horrendous Accies away game, A long time.

He should have been gone at the new year in my mind.

Got a brief glimpse of our future on Saturday, watching Dundee Utd on Alba with Gaelic commentary and action replays just as they were in the 1970s, as the side relegated from the Premiership struggled to scrape a draw at home to Dumbarton.

Billy King to Dundee Utd on pre-contract ... seems a bit premature given he doesn't yet know what division ICT or Utd will be in next season

What a strange situation to ponder though, just theoretically imagine we get to the play offs, against DU and its 10 mins from final whistle, currently a draw, Billy happens to be in a scoring postion.....what does he do!!! What a decision to make

if we are fortunate enough to get to the play-offs v DU I don't think he would be in the squad.

No great loss there promised a lot but delivered next to nothing,  Mulraney is a far better long term prospect and can only improve next season.

No but he will know that, whatever divisions the respective clubs are in, he will be being paid more and playing in front of larger home crowds at Tannadice. A harsh financial fact.
