I see that Dougie Imrie has signed for Hamilton Accies. Has he still 'got it' for the top-flight? He's just endured a depressing season with a very poor Morton side. What I'm really surprised about is that he's only 30 - I always thought he'd come into senior football at a relatively late age, being snapped up from the juniors - he seems to have been around for ever!

 

Reluctant to wish him too much luck as he's obviously going to be in direct opposition to us next season!

IIRC their manager Michael Appleton was linked with the ICT job when Butcher left.

Rumour doing the rounds that legendary former ICT left back Charlie Taylor is being linked with several Premiership clubs including MANCHESTER UNITED. Fond memories of his penalty winning dive in a crucial Highland derby victory.

Adam MacLeod is back training  and should be fit again at Strathspey. Lads promising future has been pitted with injury - only played about 10 games last season before being put out for season by Fort William defender. This season, complications with his injury kept him to 5 games, and then got crunched and did ankle ligaments by same fort William defender on comeback. Bet he will avoid that defender like the plague when they next meet!  Sure he will start scoring again when he is fit, hope he gets a proper run injury free

Tarmo Kink is on the move again! After leaving us he headed home to former club, Levadia Tallinn. He's now been 'snapped up' by Finnish champions, SJK.

Free-scoring Turriff United midfielder, Andrew MacAskill has emigrated to Australia! He's taken-up a coaching/playing position with a club in Brisbane.
An obvious blow for Turriff, but good luck to him.

A certain Ryan Christie made his debut for Celtic late on against St Johnstone.

Tony Reguero is a fee agent - leaving Hibernian by mutual consent, after failing to make any first-team appearances.

Kevin McCann has returned from playing in Singapore, and signed with Falkirk. He's still only 28.

The Johnstone Paint trophy final at Wembley on 3 April will feature no less than 3 ex ICT players. Alex MacDonald for Oxford Utd, plus Sam Winnall and Marley Watkins for Barnsley, should all feature.  We know that Watkins should not suffer from stage fright on this big occasion, after his exploits at Hampden less than a year earlier.  Good luck to all three of them.

I didn't foresee that coming. An Ofere strike partnership with 'wee Billy' is intriguing - they didn't, obviously, play together at Inverness.
It could well be productive, but I feel that Dundee United have too much to do to survive the drop!

Slightly older news, which I don't think has been reported on our forum, is that Tom Aldred (The Tank) of Blackpool won the PFA Fans' Player of the month in December for English League 1.

Philip Roberts yesterday signed for Irish club Sligo Rovers. He's been without a team since being released by Dundee.

Phillip Roberts made his competitive debut for Sligo Rovers tonight in a 0-2 home defeat to Shamrock Rovers, in Airtricity League of Ireland.  Fairly ineffective by look of things, but at least he stayed out of trouble.  Two of his team mates got red cards, and a further three, yellow cards!

Not forgetting, of course, our other 'ex' at Barnsley, Sam Winnall.  He has been an even more prolific scorer, and has just been nominated for the League 1 Fans Player of the Month, for the second month running.  What would we give for either of them to be back here now?
