Team for Alloa

Taking on board January transfer activity and feedback from the Ayr game, do we need a shake up for Saturday?

If Welsh and Walsh are fully fit, both should start and probably worth giving Toshney a start, particularly if McCart is off to Perth.

What about this as a starter for eleven, with Storey playing off White:

Ridgers

Rooney Toshney McHattie Tremarco

Welsh Vincent

Walsh Storey Doran

White

That will probably be the starting X1. But it is clearly to early for other forum users to contemplate. Lets all whine on about inconsistency, individual player, tactical naievity and financial constraints. And what about the car parking, the distance of the ground from the town, the food on fare, the aquifer and its effect on the playing surface, the bar closing too early. Come on lets concentrate on the important issues before picking a feckin team.

Aye, all of the above but drop White and start Toddy. Tell him he has till half time to make an impact then bring White on second half. Tell both they need to start making an impact and see who surfaces on top.

 Walsh/McGregor   Welsh     Keatings    Doran

Depends who's actually left...

Brad at the back for remainder of season a very worrying thought ☹️

Any news about the pitch as we've had a lot of rain this week?

Could we play at the canal astro? I like the beer on balcony viewpoint..?

Just been looking at recent form: Alloa have taken 10 points out of 12 since Christmas including away wins at Dunfermline and Queen of the South. In that time, we have 3 points out of 9.

With our poor record against teams at the bottom end of the league, this is set up to be a tough game, so hopefully none of the complacency we feel we have seen on occasions this season.

I see Keatings is a doubt for this one.

Did we not draw last time we played them up here?

Yes, 2-2 the week after we beat them in the Caramel Wafer Cup.

If we’d closed out the last few minutes, that is the day we would have gone top. Feels like an age ago!

I see Palace have loaned Scott Banks to Alloa, just days after signing him from Dundee Utd, (our biggest fee of the transfer window if you ignore the loan fee for Tosun who is now injured)..... since he's never actually going to play for us, I give our players permission to kick the sh#t out of him if he plays, if it means we get the 3 points :ictscarf:
