Aberdeen players set to leave

Featured Replies

Ouch!! That's gotta hurt the Dons  :004:

Let's hope we have more success in keeping our out of contract players

Nicholson is meant to be off to the Edinburgh Circus.

Hearts?

:rotflmao:

Really?

WOW!!!

A purely financial based decision then!! Still I guess he must be at an age where this will be his last big contract

I wonder who's next on the list to take the penalty's for the Dons? hopefully he isn't as good from the spot  :023:

Yup. There was a piece in the Edinburgh Evening News (which was available online about 11am this morning!) which had a story about Velicka going to Bolton laugh.gif

At the bottom of the story people can leave comments and one guy had heard on Saturday that Nicholson was tying up a pre contract with Hearts. He's quite right to go for more money. Aberdeen aren't improving their offers by all accounts. It's the same deal as he is currently on so I don't blame him for moving.

Seve will take the next penalty or Jamie Smith  :007:

It would be slightly risky Nicholson going to Hearts because with an absent landlord and ?40million of debts Hearts are a prime target for administration. Sometime soon, somebody might just snitch on what has been going on at Tynecastle.

Aberdeen do present as a group of players and managers driven by one thing - money - and the only person with it at the Club is the Chairman who is more anally retentive than a mole frozen to death.

We owe our present position to two chairmen who were prepared to follow the Carnegie tradition.

Meanwhile, Aberdeen will this week give a trial to out-of-favour De Graafschap defender Dave Bus.

And former Charlton Athletic centre-half Jonathan Kurrant has left the club after only six months by mutual consent.

Kurrant?  Bus?  :015:  They sound like the names from made up Sensible Soccer teams

Pity his name was'nt Dave Bun....

Kurrant  Bun..

BBC saying a fee has been agreed for transfer of Hart between Aberdeen & Plymouth and player is discussing personal terms. Offer for Clark turned down though. Surely though Hart is the better player  :017:

Always thought BN was a decent player, shame we couldn't afford those wages.  If he signs a pre contract Aberdeen may choose not to play him for the next 6 months.  Is there any way that they could still farm him out on loan?

The Sun (lol) reports deals for Hart and Clark agreed by Plymouth with Aberdeen though that conflicts with what the BBC says. Hart will be a bigger loss despite not being that great this season. ?200k for someone who has 6 months of their contract left isn't bad going.

Clark however is murder and a shocking player. Aberdeen should take what they can get for him and run away. Laughing.

The deals that Aberdeen offered these players were allegedly just contract extensions on the same wages.

I heard they turned down 100k for Clark  :010:

That really puts St Mirren derisory offer of 40K Rankin into perspective
