Central defence

Given the performances of Jamie Duff and assuming Granty will be fit soon who will Brew play in the centre of defence? Personally I would try Granty and Duff as I believe they would do well. Brew seems to have a soft spot for Maguire so I am not convinced that Duff will get too many more starts.

I also think that Proctor has played well when I have seen him and wonder if he might get a game ahead of Rosco whose understanding with Cowie down the wing is nowhere near as productive as it is when Barry is playing there.

I think Duff will get more games. Two SPL starts and two sponsors' motm. He may be difficult to drop! Strong, fit and a good passer of the ball - could he fit into the midfield? I don't know - just a thought.

Duff used to be a central midfielder in school and plays well there, so if Brewster does stick with McGuire and Munro it would be good to maybe give him a chance there.

What's his name, and where does he play currently?

Brewster has said, that we are down to the bare bones already. No club should every be like that 2 games into the new season. Just shows like a few of us said on here after the season finished including myself, we needed to make at least 7 or 8 signings and that was before, Wyness, Bayne and Niculae left!

Brewster doesn't have a clue and his subs proved that on sat AGAIN!

Brewster should be on thin ice.

Even more so if he can not get some new guys this week.
