BBC Alba

Found this...

'BBC ALBA will broadcast one full SPL game every Saturday for two seasons.[5] The games will be broadcast three hours after the game has ended. The game shown will be a selected one not covered by either live Setanta Sports or on an on-demand basis by BT Vision[6]. The match will only have Gaelic commentary along with English subtitles.'

Alba launches on Sept 19, and I read on another forum that the first game being shown is our visit to Hearts (not sure how that person knows this, I cant find anything else about schedules). I'd guess we might feature quite often though given that it's a Gaelic channel!

Should be good though, and give us far more coverage than our weekly 2 minute slot on Sportscene. Oh, and it's on Sky 168 for those who didn't know.

Heard that our game against Motherwell is next weeks game. Can't seem to find anything to confirm this though.

Haha but surely the main priority is the glory hunters/majority of Of fans?

Hope it is. I have to work most Saturday afternoons so in the likley event that I am working this weekend then it means I can see the game. If I can get to the game I will though.

How are all your complains to the BBC going ?

ICT is the local SPL team for the majority of gaelic speakers in Scotland and should be given preference to the central belt teams.

The more coverage for ICT the better.

The largest density of Gaelic speakers is actually in Glasgow, hence why the situated the first Gaelic School there.

Do they broadcast these games online?

No, i don't think the BBC are allowed to show any football games online because of the agreement.

Glad I thought to record the game on BBC Alba. The visit to the Innes Bar was worth it alone. Quality quote from TM4TJ - thanking our feeder club for some good games over the years. :rotflmao: :thumb04: :018:

where can you find a list of the games that are being shown on this channnel? Seems a nightmare trying to find out!

They filmed in the Innes ? That would be worthy of viewing.
