OK folks ... you talked, I listened !!!!

On Saturday we will trial a few different things for doing the matchday updates .....

1. Our normal matchday thread ... same as last year but maybe a little enhanced

2. Our Twitter feed ... again, the same as last year with updates as frequently as we can get them

3. Our chatroom. The current chatroom is the basic version that comes with this version of the software. It is limited to 5 users at a time. If this takes off and we need to upgrade it we will purchase a bigger chatroom license so we can have more users but we found last year it was empty most of the time.

and the biggie that we are going to try ....... LIVE COMMENTARY as mentioned by a few folk on the Fleetwood Town thread. This is something we will likely try to turn over to the club for future games but at short notice i figured we could trial it here initially and see how things go. Be gentle with us, I have no idea yet what media arrangements are in place for the weekend or whether anyone will be able to access this feed for updates from the stadium so you may just get updates from Toronto via Radio Scotland open all mics (if its on). I believe we can also add twitter comments so if you are planning to tweet from the stadium let me know your twitter name and I can add that name to the feed ... If i understand it correctly it should automatically tweet posts as well as our own text commentary.

ICT -V- Queens Park
  4. Maybe you could translate that into phlegmish for our visitors.
  5. Mrs Dudes match of the day effort of Shanes goal v Stockport. Shane goal
  6. Great picture and much appreciated. It is good to have even this small snip of the match.
  7. Let's face the facts folks. On our budget we will be doing VERY well to stay in the SPL and we should be happy with that.
  8. Celtic Rangers Dundee United Hearts Hibs Motherwell Aberdeen St Johnstone Hamilton ICT Kilmarnock St Mirren

Assuming we keep the same formation as we did last season... so far, this is our squad and the positions we have covered. Goal Keepers Ryan Esson, Jonny Tuffey, Max Johnson Left Back Stuart Golabek, Roy McBain, Graeme Shinnie Right Back Kevin McCann, David Proctor, Ross Tokely Centre Back Ross Tokely, Grant Munro, Chris Inness Centre Mid Russell Duncan, Lee Cox, Gavin Morrison, David Proctor, Roy McBain Attacking Mid Danny Sanchez, Gil Blumanshtein, Eric Odhiambo Wingers Richie Foran, Jonny Hayes, Gil Blumanshtein, Graeme Shinnie (going by friendlies), Nick Ross, Eric Odhiambo Forwards Adam Rooney, Shane Sutherland, Richie Foran, Eric Odhiambo, Gil Blumanshtein From reading our preseason reports and interviews in the press, if we were to start the season tomorrow, I'd predict Terry's line up to be something like this: Esson McCann Tokely Munro Golly Proctor Duncan Hayes Blumanshtein Foran Rooney maybe changing Cox for either Proctor or McCann I'd say we look very strong on the wing, in between the sticks and in the centre of the park with plenty of cover and some versatile players, McBain & Proctor, who can fill in at the back and out wide. What we need By the looks of things we are still very short at centre half and maybe a left back who can seriously challenge Golly [take his place in the starting 11]. Butcher has already stated he is out for players to fill those slots but I would be interested to know if another target man is being looked at incase of Rooney getting injured or is Tel happy with the progress of Sutherland. For centre half, I'd be looking for a young 6ft something, 19-24 year old who can take advantage of the advice provided from our 3 golden oldies. Hopefully our Tel can pull another raw gem out on free transfer from his numerous contacts worldwide. Left back.. not sure I need to say it again. First name is a shortened version of Robert and Surname is an Island off the west coast... get it?? maybees aye maybees naw I've only seen Sutherland play once but was impressed with him, perhaps someone who has seem him more often can offer their opinion on whether they think he could deputise for Rooney. Best way of thinking about it(or not), if Rooney was injured tomorrow and crocked for the season (god no... touch wood) do you think Sutherland would be capable of scoring the goals to see us to safety? IMO if we get these players sorted I will be very confident going into the new season and hope to be looking upwards rather than downwards.

I'd put money on them being beaten tonight. Not convinced by Lennon at all. Your not convinced by a guy who has a 100% SPL record? Jee wizz

And lost the only important game of his career in charge at Celtic so far.
  13. Perhaps I wasn't clear before - I'm talking about Airdrie Utd, Ayr United, Morton etc. These teams were mince. The teams you mention certainly aren't in the same bracket. To have them in the same bracket is foolish and ill-informed. Foolish and ill informed! I'll take that as a compliment. Let's go through this: Kilmarnock have got rid of the only real striker they had, replaced him with nothing at all. Hamilton have flogged the very last instalment of their crown jewels leaving their most creative influence as one D. Imrie. St. Mirren have got rid of half their team (ta for Chris Innes BTW) and replaced it with.....cowdenbeath en masse. OK including St. J with this lot was perhaps a trifle harsh. Standard Tesco mince, but not Best by any means. Rangers will have real problems this year and they know it. So by and large, I stick to my judgement, the only quid pro quo being that ICT perform to something approaching potential from the off. Confidence is still high.
