No national trophies are "diddy cups" until you're out of them. And it wouldn't be free would it? ?2 for a juice, ?3 for a burger, ?2 programme, ?2 parking, etc., etc. , ... Schools would not have wanted freebies anyway as the kids wouldn't have got home until well after 10 o'clock when they should be tucked up in bed. I thought 1001 was reasonable for a midweek game against 2nd division opposition in the early stages of a cup game.1 point

A word of advice, warm your facial muscles up before you watch it. I'm still in agony from watching the BBC highlights, grinning furiously. :biggrin:1 point

Celtic Wonder what Dornoch Caley thinks of Lennon now. In his only important games of note in his career as Celtic manager he has failed to register a win. Out of the Scottish Cup to Ross County and papped out of both the Champions League and the Europa Cup. In the league he has so far this season beaten two teams with a combined transfer budget of around ?0. So far it would appear that Lennon is on the way to eclipsing Celtic greats like Barnes and Mowbary :biggrin:1 point

Great to hear, you still see loads of kids down here wearing Liverpool/Man U shirts . My mates and I have adopted Caley as our favourite S.P.L club and were thinking or trying to make a home game, believe its a 1300 hundred mile round trip from Cardiff .1 point

Most people go to Tesco on Saturdays, largely old firm fans but encouragingly there are a lot more youngsters appearing thanks to efforts by the club discounting entrance for them. In a few years we'll have a bigger support and their big team won't be part of the old firm.1 point

What sort of reception do you think he will recieve tomorrow? Good player for us when he put his mind to it, but always thought he was better than he actually was. (Saw us as his stepping stone to Rangers) He is arguably Hamilton's most dangerous player, however he does react to the fans, evident when he attempted a 'square-go' with the Jail End at our 1-2 defeat there last season. Seems like a bit of a jumped up little ned at times and that can totally take his mind off the game. Therefore I think he should be in for a decent bit of abuse after kick off tomorrow, even if for no other reason than to put their best player off his game.0 points

The fact they finished the previous season in a higher league seems to have escaped you. Why stop there though, seed by points gained in the previous league campaign. 1. Rangers 2. Celtic 3. Livingston 4. ICT. 5. Stirling 6. Alloa ........etc. That would produce tasty cup ties like Stirling v Falkirk, that's not really fair on Stirling is it? Oh wait..... No, they finished in a non SFL league. ICT are the SFL champions. They are not the champions of Scotland, Britain, Europe or the world. But they are the champions of the Scottish Football League. Go figure. HawkeyeTheGnu do you know anything about football ? The more you post the more I think you aint got a clue what your talking about. Another classic fail .-1 points

Baron Taylor's Street... must be the WORST street in Inverness. Three pubs (including The Keg), a junk food outlet, the back of a night club, a bookies... and the Thistle Club! I always think the Health Food Shop looks really out of place in what must also be the unhealthiest street in the place. Perhaps some of the folk who stand outside The Keg smoking at 10 in the morning should give it a vist though?-1 points

Ok, so we have all creamed over the terrific result against United and to an extent our first half display against Celtic. We didn't fluke the result at Tanadice, it seems (from what I've read, seen and heard) we played great football and scored 4 excellent goals. If you take into consideration our opponent, Hamilton, have conceded a whopping 8 goals in 2 SPL games and just been knocked out of the cup by 1st division Raith Rovers. On top of all that they are set to be missing captain Alex Neil (injury) and their best defender Martin Canning (suspension), they sold their best midfielder, McArthur, during the transfer window and Billy Reid seems to be experimenting with a new formation. there is a lot (^) in our favour and I'm even tempted to stick some cash on @ evens with the bookies for a home win but this expectancy is exactly why we will lose this game and to top it all off Imrie will score the winner. We haven't beaten Hamilton since they made it to the SPL, Billy Reid knows how to beat us, a bit like Calderwood did at Aberdeen.. I don't know how but they just know. Hopefully me posting this will soften the blow when we lose and all the renewed optimism turns to numerous posts regarding Tel's inadequacies. ... and if I'm wrong then we'll all be happy :)-1 points
