  2. Unbelievable decision making from Ashleigh, whats behind the thinking that sacks a manager who has the team in a more than acceptable position, costing far less than the new incumbent, who has a poor record at the top level and giving him a ludicrous contract that every man and his dog can see is not in the best interests of the club..... Oh, wait a minute

  3. Great story hobopete - tell us more about the winning goal On our travels in 2006 we came across a wee bar in the heart of Singapore called The Sportsman. With a Rangers daft owner, it was adorned with footballing memorabilia and I was delighted to find this signed Caley Thistle top above the bar:

  4. 2nd round replay - Leyton Orient v Droylsden Non League Droylsden cruising to victory and a major upset. 2 - 0 up and Orient down to 10 men Orient score a 77th minute penalty and then a Droylsden player sees red. Orient equalise in the 89th minute but still manage to get a 2nd player red carded before the full time whistle blows Orient get a 3rd early in extra time before a 2nd Droylsden player gets sent off. It's 9 against 9 and presumably the fitness of the senior side asserts itself as Orient go on to score a further 5 goals! Final score 8 - 2 AET after being 2 goals and one man down with 13 minutes to go. Astonishing!

  5. There is NO WAY i would go up to a complete stranger in Inverness and start discussing ICT, i have experienced at first hand unpleasantness and animosity towards myself and ICT whilst out drinking in the city Fair enough if you are in the Caley Thistle club surrounded by fellow ICT fans well that maybe the case but you are wrong to say that everyone is willing to discuss ICT and make you welcome Even on this forum i've not really been made particularly welcome by some, i've even been targeted by a red dot campaign which has caused me a lot of heartache dougal Dougal, I think you have been made very welcome on this site and many of us have a good laugh at your posts. I am sure that is your intention, so, well done! It is really quite an acheivement to be averaging more than 1 red dot per post. And I don't think there is any targeted campaign to give you red dots, it is just a reflection of the general stupidity and offensiveness of your posts. If you speak with people in pubs the way you communicate on this forum then I'm not surprised you find some animosity. It's not a reflection of Inverness or ICT - it's just personal. I've quite enjoyed your drivel today and haven't given you a red dot but then I don't sit in section G and I'm not Ginger. Keep the posts coming - with no football on we need something to amuse us.

  8. Oh no, another one. Don't remind me It is also the birthday of more celubrious individuals. Sammy Davis Junior 1925 Kim Bassinger 1953 Sinéad O'Connor 1966 And some less fortunate ones expired on this day as well. Omar I, 2nd kalief of Islam, murdered Mary Queen of Scots was born today 1542, incidentally beheaded in 1587 on Feb8th, another famous day. Gary Thain, New Zealand bassist (Uriah Heep) died 1975 John Lennon was excecuted by Mark David Chapman on this day in 1980 And would you believe it, in 1969, On trial in Canada on drug possession charges, Jimi Hendrix told a Toronto court that he had only smoked pot four times in his life, snorted cocaine twice and took LSD no more than five times. Telling the jury that he had now 'outgrown' drugs. They find the guitarist not guilty.......yeah, you tell em Jimi. 1864 The Clifton Suspension Bridge over the River Avon at Bristol, designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel, was opened. and.........ICT have played 2 games on this date, losing 2-1 at home to Partick in 2001 and beating Hibs 2-0 in Inverness in 2007. Wyness scored for Inverness but a late Hardie double won the points for Partick, while in 2007 a Marius Niculae brace defeated Hibs in front of 4224 fans in Inverness. And..........On the Roman Catholic Church calendar of holy days, December 8th is celebrated as a holy day of obligation, commemorating the Immaculate Conception of theMann4thejob. The observance of this feast began with a Papal encyclical by Pope Pius IX, when he formally defined the dogma of the Immaculate Conception, INEFFABILIS DEUS, on December 8, 1854.
