It's not so much this trial as the last. First of all, a best man, at least, shouldn't sell out your mate down the the river to his worst enemy, Rupert Murdoch, knowing what an effect that would have. There hadn't even been a falling out for him to do that. Just pound signs. For the SSP - know your enemy. Murdoch always has, and always will, be a bigger enemy to socialists than whether Sheridan has had 3-in-a-bed sessions. They don't need to lie, but when the NotW's solicitors come calling, as the Yanks say, take the Fifth (or as Manuel would say 'I know nothing'), i.e. no comment. Just as David Cameron or Murdoch would do with Andy Coulson. Apart from that, I pretty much agree with DoofersDad. All Tommy had to do was say: "3-in-a-bed sex sessions? Is this the best the NotW can come up with? Your mind may be in the gutter, Mr Murdoch, but mine's with the Scottish people's drive to get rid of this gutter press" (cheers all round - all hail Tommy for sticking it to Rupert - the SSP continues to gain seats) For the record, I'm sad that the SSP has taken a dive. Although my own views aren't that extreme, I do approve of a small band of these working in parliament, almost as a pressure group, fighting for the poorest in society. It's be a disaster to have them as the government but a timely reminder to have them as a voice. I also find this whole trial a bit ridiculous. Sheridan and the NotW presented their evidence at the libel case. The jury believed Sheridan. Surely, that means the NotW and the people that spoke AGAINST Sheridan should be on trial for perjury (or not as it should be case closed)? As far as the court should be concerned, Sheridan was jury-proven to be truthful. By my reckoning, he should then be exempt from being examined again on that basis. How can one jury be considered more important than the other? It's double jeapordy under another name.

Officials for this match will be David Sutherland and Alan Savage on the lines, Graham Bennett as the fourth official and the referree will be the legendary ADC Kidd - Commentary on Jackanory FM will be provided by Charlie "where did I leave my towel" Bannerman. ONLY JOKING That would never hapen in real life Caley Jaggies appear to be spurned on and Govan Jaggie secures a lead with a swerving shot that would be lauded in Bechins fer many a year. But the boys from overseas are not finished and luvgravy equalises with a flighted effort. King Beastie does his Animal impersonation and tries to drum up the lads on the Toich Terrace. He has been thought to have been particulary nervous about being a custodian in West drive as Granville has a history with Shetland fillies. The game is going from end to end. ronnyc breaks from the back and lights up the stadium like feckin Times Square with an effort from half way which eludes the troubled king beastie. But back come the CaleyJaggies as Red Card polishes off a great davieb through ball and Krakows it in to the onion bag. The Toich Terrace resembles a Lech Poznan under 10 game. But in the dying moments the substitute Tug produces a bit of magic. It is as if he has come out of the trenches, he crawls along the touchline and fires in a bullet off a shot - but it is going wide - but it feckin richochets of Jock watts zimmer and bulges in to the back of the net. The final whistle blows - CTO CaleyJaggies 2 CTOOverseas 3 CTO Overseas are the 2010 CTO Festive Sevens Winners and Scotty prepares to climb the gantry to accept the award from Provost Dan Corbett but allows Tug to take his place. The stadium rises in applause. Why - cos we have "heroes" like Naelifts and his paramedic duties and we even have IHE looking after the lives of the mentally ill of Lancashire but that is nowt compared to anyone prepared to give their lives to the country. Hope I have got this right TUG but total respect and prayers to ya - and any other ICT supporting squaddie who wears our shirt proudly in the battle zone Nollaig chridheil agus Bliadhna mhath ur!

The success seems to be bringing in folk who maybe haven't taken a great interest in in ICT up till now. Yesterday after a stirring 10 minute rendition of "Caleyaway with Terry and Mo" had ended, a young lad behind me asked his Dad who Terry and Mo were. Dad replied that "Terry" was Terry Butcher the manager and "Mo" was Mo Johnston, his assistant. A wee bit to learn, perhaps but fair play to him, he was there and joining in some of the singing too. Continued success can only encourage more folk to come to matches and hopefully the enthusiasm and good humour of (most of) the fans will encourgage them to keep coming. I have to confess that it is a long time since I have been to an away league match (apart from County) and I thoroughly enjoyed the day out. I must do it more often!

What has been your highlight of Xmas day? Mine well family, great Xmas meal and a Waxwing in the garden, I will leave it to you to find out what the hell the latter is if your not into these things. Merry Xmas.
