  1. 2010 was a vintage year for Inverness Caledonian Thistle and in respect of attending away games will undoubtedly never be equalled. I have to say that 2010 will live in my memory as the year that my spirits were raised again and again - days out like Dumbfries, the Ship Inn and the SPL travels were the finest anti-depressant known to mankind. So many thanks to TerryandMo, the players and staff of ICT and to all my muckers who have travelled along the long and winding road with me. I will continue to travel on the TerryandMo express and await the Caley D T-shirt to remind me of 2010. And special New Year felicitations to Mr Bennett, Mr Sutherland and Mr Fraser - I am pleased to note that you have began to learn and are losing the Muppet tags. Can I be feckin kinder than that !! HAPPY NEW YEAR
  2. Can't say much more than has been said already about events on the park.....truly a year to remember and I look forward to us building on that in 2011. I think it only right that I also make comment about things off the park also. Despite not always agreeing with the way the club do things I think they too deserve their share of the credit for bringing us through our season in Div 1 and keeping things together to allow Terry and Mo to do what they are doing on the playing side. The fans also played their part and despite any "opinions" about what happens home and away, you can't have one without the other and when all is said and done......well there's nothing more to say Moving on to CTO and thanks to the moderators. Whether people have noticed it or not, the vast majority of the work that's now done in keeping the forums ticking over on a day to day basis, dealing with queries, laying the odd smack down where it's needed etc, is all done by these guys. Also special mention to everyone who has chipped in on the Editorial Team to bring us some very entertaining, interesting and informative match previews and reports....with extra special mention to TM4TJ who runs a tight ship and ensures everything is done and in place on time every week. Please don't take what these guys do for granted because without them doing what they do then CTO would not be half the site it is today. For the first time in many years all parts of ICT seem to be pulling in the same direction and long may that continue. A very Happy New Year to the HMS Sneck and all who sail in her.

Can you explain what you mean by that phrase? Release his favourites as in put people like Gil on the park and let Foran/Odi attack. Or release as in get rid of Foran/Odi or whoever? Eric would be the first to go to the bench - I cannot believe that he still starts at home - he is an effective substitute and little else. Foran as I alluded to in another thread looks the part away from home when he plays a lot deeper, he can pass and has the head for the game and he is far more effective coming from deep - why cant that be mirrored at home. I also think that Duncan and Cox are a good pairing away from home but far too defensive and lacking in the killer ball to be playing together at home. I would give Gil a run but in the position that TB appears to favour Eric in.

I was chatting away to a few pals the other day, and none of us could remember us having any sort of bad 'run' yet this season. Every team has a bad spell, and I think this may well be ours. I'm not too bothered we've lost 2 on the trot, and both were at home. Simply because we have shown ourselves so far this season as being a team to fear. That fear will still be there in Perth on the 2nd. They'll know we've lost the last two, but they'll also know we've got a fantastic away record and a great mix of youth and experience to compete with anyone. We're sitting 5th now (on goal diff from Killie). At the start of the season, If someone was to offer that going into new year, I would have taken it. Perhaps with this fantastic year and the praise we've had from the footballing world, the expectation levels have once again risen to high from our supporters? Lets keep our feet on the ground and concentrate on 3 points in our next league encounter! 'MON THE CALEY JAGS
  6. I can't believe the arrogance of this statement. Inverness, Hamilton, St. Johnstone and St. Mirren are all teams of equal size. Why can't any of these teams regularly take points off of each other? What makes a team who have only just been promoted remember, seem to think they have the divine right to turn up and claim points before a ball is kicked? Caley are on an enviable run of form just now. That can't be called into question but in reality are just a small team as are these other sides mentioned. Howden needs to drop the Old Firm attitude and live in the real world.
  7. No becos we had a look at them and they didnt come up to the standard - You have to put afew red herrings in the fishing basket but I am usually proved rite when I am being serious. Bit sad that you trail for posts.
