Maybe Foran can unlock the defence, he should at least have the quality. Sanchez must be worth a shout scarlet, but if we persist in doing nothing, then it will all end in tears and too little too late.2 points

I thought that game was rubbish to be honest. I think we had one chance in the entire game with Odihambo scuffing a shot goalwards. Oh, Nick Ross hit the bar with a cross cum shot but that was as good as it got for us. Saint Johnstone had about three clear cut chances in the second half including one from an atrocious backpass by Munro. I think 1 - 0 was a fair reflection on the game, it was no more than we deserved. To be honest I'm just glad it's over as it was eye gauging stuff from ICT at times. I lost count of the number of aimless blasts up the park. We also seemed to be playing a 4-3-3 / 4-5-1 formation. Certainly didn't look to have anyone playing behind Rooney as per other games this season. I found myself struggling to understand how that team had put together such a fantastic run away from home after seeing that today. After three good draws against the top three sides we have turned in three lifeless performances against teams who we should be looking to get results against. No wins in six now and it's not a good run to be on and I do wonder if we are going to "do a Hull" and start to drift down the table a wee bit.1 point

If that turns out to be true then IMO theres a hell of alot wrong with the team. I would agree with Clacher ..... If we are so one-dimensional that we can only perform with Jonny in the team then we are in trouble because that means others cannot or will not step up and start to perform without him and that attitude, if it exists, is BS. Equally worrying is that opposition sides will/already know that if we continue to perform this way, all they have to do to make us innefectual is to close him down. A few folk need to up their game to a level we know they can already perform at .... stop leaving it all to Jonny and start working harder. Ryan Esson is excluded from this rant as he is already working harder than we would like him to have to !!! Much like the forwards who have avoided criticism when the defence has played well, Hayes own performances shouldnt be exaggerated because he wasnt in the last 3 losing sides. He can produce the goods often enough to make him immune from this but his early season form has made him over confident and ball greedy when in positions to let others score. Not a single player in that side besides Esson is as good as they think they are, all of them need to work for each other to make up the shortfalls, thats what any team should be doing.1 point

As soon as I heard he had dropped both Foran and Duncan I feared the worst. Although both these players have dipped in form over the last few games, I always feel we need their steel and agression. The slick passing game we had has desserted us and there is too much long ball play. Rooney will score goals for us if he gets decent service and support. In my opinion we badly need a playmaker but players with the vision and skill we need are thin on the ground. We are still in a great league position but it's time to start winning again as the teams below are closing in.1 point

+1 on the glad its over side. It's just disappointing that its come off the back of 2 home defeats. Our winning run away from home shouldnt be a factor at all in preparing for a match, of course theres pride to be taken in such a lengthy run but you should only look back and pat yourself on the heid if you feel as if you deserved it. We rode out luck in an awful lot of games over the past year, in both the SPL and the SFL, has everyone forgotten how favourable the refs were to us on our promotion charge? How many penalties has Adam Rooney scored ffs? I agree with tm4tj when he says that something has crept into the players attitudes when it comes to defending, seems to be desperate. Also good defending has masked some poor forward play from Foran and Rooney especially, lets hope thats done away with aswell, we need everybody kept on their toes. I dont like it when Terrys post match comments include lines such as 'the lads are really enjoying themselves at the moment' when Rooney misses a 1 on 1 v Rangers or Duncan gives the ball away for the 10th time in the middle.. Butchers comment should be 'the lads are relieved to have got away with that, they all love Esson'. When you praise the team as a whole for a good defensive display, it doesnt allow the more forward players to develop, especially the younger guys.1 point

I tend to agree with smee about the run starting to grate a little. Let's get on with playing decent football instead of the defend at all costs attitude that has been stinting our play recently. This could be a long few months ahead if not.1 point

Fitba' and women don't go together at all. Well maybe at Caley games along with tartan blankets and flasks of soup! If it wasn't for women the St Johnstone average gate would be around 1500 If it wasn't for women, there would be an average higher gate. 2 of my friends don't go anymore because of the constant squealing of silly women who know nothing about the game. St. Johnstone used to have great crowds when it was a rarity to spot a slavering woman at the fitba'. More women= More pissed off men that can't be doing with them.1 point

Can't say much more than has been said already about events on the park.....truly a year to remember and I look forward to us building on that in 2011. I think it only right that I also make comment about things off the park also. Despite not always agreeing with the way the club do things I think they too deserve their share of the credit for bringing us through our season in Div 1 and keeping things together to allow Terry and Mo to do what they are doing on the playing side. The fans also played their part and despite any "opinions" about what happens home and away, you can't have one without the other and when all is said and done......well there's nothing more to say Moving on to CTO and thanks to the moderators. Whether people have noticed it or not, the vast majority of the work that's now done in keeping the forums ticking over on a day to day basis, dealing with queries, laying the odd smack down where it's needed etc, is all done by these guys. Also special mention to everyone who has chipped in on the Editorial Team to bring us some very entertaining, interesting and informative match previews and reports....with extra special mention to TM4TJ who runs a tight ship and ensures everything is done and in place on time every week. Please don't take what these guys do for granted because without them doing what they do then CTO would not be half the site it is today. For the first time in many years all parts of ICT seem to be pulling in the same direction and long may that continue. A very Happy New Year to the HMS Sneck and all who sail in her.1 point

True enough, Lizi.... But I think you'll find when he is back in the team, we might just start winning some games again. It's not just his contribution that makes ICT tick, it's the fact that he tends to bring out the best, and clearly inspires his team-mates - especially the likes of Rooney, who obviously sees much more of the ball when Jonny's around. When he's on form, fit and in the mood he gives the fans a lift as well. I was at the Hearts game btw, and I agree he did appear to have an off day that day but there was obviously something far wrong with him - he should not have started that game.0 points

First off "the ginger destroyer" is my mate, those who know him will see him in the Innes before every home game. I am the "idiot" who told your mate to "just sit the **** down" because, without sounding childish, if he kept his mouth shut in the first place the flippant remark would have just been that. Instead he decided to mutter some rant which achieved the argument he was looking for. He then gets "his friends" to post their discontent on a forum about a nothing incident that he started. Yeh "the ginger destroyer" went over the top to make his point about having his own opinion but he didn't take kindly to someone picking out a comment about a bad pass. ffs "donut" is hardly the strongest language you will hear at in a football stand. "They weren't supporting the team on Saturday, just shouting ridiculous comments aimed at our own players" I'll let the idiot remark slip but talking absolute p!sh just to try and make you look like a good guy shows exactly what you are all about. The rest of us were telling our boy to pipe down just as I told your mate... there was no need for it to have happened in the first place. I'd love to know why you weren't this chatty at the game and instead decided to post on the internet 2 days letter when everyone else has forgotten you and your mate existed.-1 points

Sorry Charles, but it really does get on my tits when people who are being paid to do a job opt for the lazy option and try to get other people to do it for them. It took me all of 30 seconds to look up the information I posted, and whilst I wouldn't expect every ICT fan to have that information to hand, or to go to the effort of finding it, I don't think it's beyond reason to expect someone who is reporting on the subject to have done their homework instead of relying on a fans internet forum. I may be wrong, but your questioning was either lazy or an attempt at pushing my buttons. I deliberately chose to post only the information I did (to clear up a misunderstanding by another poster) and give no opinion on my thoughts regarding the announcement. The situation with the appointment of Special Directors is what it is and will doubtless be relevant to any new investor...and I am sure they will partake in due diligence which extends beyond asking questions on here.-1 points
