Dear Mister Donkey, You just dont understand. Giving clubs enough cash to agree to being relegated is like paying a boxer to throw a game and saying "its ok you will be better off" Its the clubs right, the managers right and its the players right, to do the best they possibly can for the honor and integrity of their club, themselves and their fans. Asking them to join a lower league for money is not the way. Where is the honor in asking clubs to leave the very best league in Scotland for money, how can a fan respect their club for selling out. This scenario reminds me of scene from Brave heart when William Wallace was waiting for the clan chiefs and their men to join the fight and they held back, those clan chiefs sold their honor for personal gain. So far, there are 3 club chiefs and their fans in this league who can stand tall, stand proud and say we wont be bought. FREEDOM.1 point

The Press and Journal are reporting today that the Sanchez injury was worse than ititially feared. Turns out he broke his hand in three places and required surgery on Sunday. Butcher thinks he'll be out for over a month and will miss the cup QF story here This is a real blow not only to Sanchez but to the team. Since he made his goal scoring cameo against Elgin he looked a far hungrier player and he looked a lot better than he has done in the past. He has strengthened up considerably and doesnt back away from tackles nearly as much as he used to. Also with his goals and creativity he brought something different to the team, as the article says he also brought enthusiasm to the dressing room which made him a popular part of the team, he will be missed i wish him a speedy recovery and for him to be back to full fitness soon1 point

I thought Tuffey had quite a good game and was let down badly by his defence. Nearly got to Millers first, the mishit cross would have fooled most keepers, and badly exposed for the third. He did make a number of decent saves in a game where Scotland played better than I have seen for many years. The number of call offs among the Irish squad made a decent Scottish squad, that should improve, look really good as the Irish played like strangers who had just met.1 point

???? Who would you propose in the squad? Considering we dont have a huge pool of Scottish players, apart from Esson is there even a contender - cant see Rossco getting a call up? If the FA were picking the team, we wouldnt be seeing younger players like Maguire, Conway, MacArthur getting a shout.1 point

No brainer, whoever comes out of the replay will come up against us full strength and we need to do the same, Esson for me.1 point

Why are kids and wifes always an excuse for everything? It's like Rev Lovejoy's hussy on the Simpsons. "What about the Children!". ?I have a cat so I couldn't make it yesterday. I hadnt seen him in a few days. Babies are cheaper than adults to feed and clothe. You could also sneak a small child into a game under a baggy jumper. I would try it with my cat but, any new situation, and he pisses himself. It's his default 'this is unusual' mechanism.? Dougal is right, but it's a senario that will never go away. Does anyone remember when we beat some Glasgow based Dublin team 1-3 in the cup? We brought around 7000 - 8000 down to Glasgow (using the Elgin calculator and the Seville calculator, it was probably more like 40'000) but for the next round against Aberdeen, it wasn't even a sell out, and if memory serves me correct, which sometimes it doesn't because the cat craps all over the flat, and I never clean it up, and I've now got huge problems with my health (ref : Kevin McKidd, train-spotting), there was only around 4000. What you supposed to do? Hand the home fans from the Morton game vouchers an only let them in for the rest of the season? At least one plus though would be more parents get to see their wee ones grow up, and marriages would be a lot stronger.1 point

Don, that's a magnificent post. You should apply to become Tel's Andy Coulson... However, one question I would ask Doncaster is this: "Name all of the teams who went into administration trying desperately to cling onto their place at the top ten table the last time this experiment was played out because history suggests it is a failed business model..." Also... "I note that you oversaw (as Chief Executive) Norwich City's promotion to the Premier League in 2004/05 but fecked off a few years later when your business model failed and the club was relegated into the third tier of English football. Mr Doncaster, you are a solicitor by trade, so why don't you concentrate on drawing up a meaningful contract with your customers instead of chumming up with your corporate spin doctors."1 point

I have no questions for him as I believe he has neither the integrity or intelligence to answer them honestly or with any degree of capability.1 point

Just imagine if Ryan Esson was in the other goal - as really should be. What about a chant of "Caley's - Caley's No 1 and 2".0 points

Ohhh, that's no handy. It is a great shame as I believe Dani has plenty to offer the side, a bit of Spanish flair is always a good thing. He has an ability to drift past players and can spot a pass that others only dream of. Get well soon.0 points

In what way did it not work last time??? Aberdeen won the European cup winners cup in 1983 and Dundee Utd made a European Cup semi while in a 10 club SPL if i'm not mistaken I personally would like to see a 14 or 16 team league but that just ain't going to happen now so theres no point continuing to bleat on about it dougal-1 points

What message does it give by dropping the guy for nothing? Where's the motivation for him to perform if called upon due to an Esson injury if it's in the back of his mind that he's just the "make do" guy who'll be on the bench again as soon as Esson is fit? If they were worlds apart in terms of ability then I could see the justification, but they aren't and any talk of one being better than the other is purely speculative as neither has done anything in the games they've played to suggest that one isn't as capable as the other. There's no good reason for benching the guy in favour of Esson.-1 points
