  1. I would just like to take this opportunity also to extend my thanks to all involved in this project. And that must start with Born Caley! After all if he hadn't instigated the initial discussion by enquiring about a copy, this would never have happened. I was literally posting on the thread he had started when I had the "Eureka moment" idea that if CTO were prepared to host it and if I wrote the extra chapter which I'd always regretted never having included, then all we would need would be for the book to be scanned and we were in business. That was on July 16th which was less than 8 weeks ago so things have moved on fast. I would therefore specifically also want to thank - * Scotty and Caley D, CTO's co-publishers, for their huge cooperation and very prompt and efficient efforts in firstly agreeing to host the book and then getting it on here so quickly once the material became available. * Alex Main without whose "Caley All The Way" centenary book it would have been much harder to write the additional chapter. * What I understand to be various collaborators in Thistle's centenary booklet "The Hub of the Hill" which was just as useful. * Pull My Finger who keeps trying to talk down his input but believe you me, the scanning was absoultely vital. * The other copyright holders - photographers Trevor Martin, Gordon Gillespie and Ken MacPherson and the club through Kenny Cameron - for agreeing to the republication. So there we have it - the tale of how ICT was formed plus a bit more on the earler pre history, all free of charge and available indefinitely on Caleythistleonline! So a week Friday night - September 9th, the 18th anniversary of the "Two Vital Votes" which turned what had been an INE pipe dream into potential reality - I will raise my glass just a little bit higher than usual to the club that made it into existence - Against All Odds.

Terry just has his missus go through the DVD's
  3. Yeah, cause St Mirren really suffered by bringing in Charlie Adam on loan from Rangers! That's a crazy comment Ten4 - how can you say someone is a "big time charlie" simply because they play for the champions of Scotland. Would you turn down Steve Davis as well if he falls out of favour? I'd be happy to have Rangers and Celtic rejects like Cillian Sheridan or Charlie Adam. It all depends on what they can do for ICT, not what jersey they once put on in Glasgow.
  4. On January 7th 2011; i posted a thread on the "For Sale" section looking for a copy of this book. It was obvious that it wasnt availiable anymore, so ended my 10 year search for it. However through discussions with Scotty, Caley D & the author Charles Bannerman; we discussed an online edition that could be downloaded. Well today i have my copy to read as its available on the Homepage. A big thanks to all involved ( Scotty, Caley D, Charles Bannerman and anyone else) in making this happen. Its amazing what we can achieve by simple discussions! you have made this ICT fan very happy!

From the BBC Gossip page: Seriously?! You half expect the article to continue that they are also interested in his compatriots, striker Skor de Gaulle and goalkeeper Bloek de Schott.
  6. But do you think he'll make the bench?!
  7. Technically speaking, it's the Board who have the power to say yes/no to any offer to purchase shares. Tulloch, as a holder of more than 25% of the issued shares can veto any resolution put to an AGM. However, that could/is changing. The recent 250,000 sale of shares diluted the Tulloch shareholding to about 27.5% (assuming they weren't one of the purchasers) and a further 250,000 share purchase by this new consortium would take that below the 25%. Granted, that situation would still need every other shareholder to vote in favour of a resultion Tulloch may object to, but it is possible and it's no different than the situation should any other group of shareholders with a combined total exceeding 25% wish to veto something. I've never witnessed Tulloch use that position to veto anything, and unless it was to prevent something damaging to the club then I wouldn't expect to see it...but the position exists (for now). We have all witnessed the Board using their powers to reject an offer for shares when that porn dude was looking to invest...and I doubt anyone would say they were wrong to have done that. What's equally important is that the Board have the power to stop the transfer of shares between parties (except when transfer is initiated by death of the holder). That means that nobody could go in an purchase then pass to someone else. FWIW, the only Director with any significant shareholding (excluding the recent purchase as we don't know who that involves...yet) is Sandy Catto (via Scotlog). The requirement for Directors to have a qualifying shareholding was removed in 2002. With regards Chairman/Director appointments....the board are self-appointing. In other words, you have to be on the board to have any part in the decision to appoint new Directors and or the Chairman. The only way a vote would ever be called for at an AGM/EGM (under the current setup) would be if they were to all resign on mass without appointing replacements first. The appointment of Directors by Tulloch has no time restraint mentioned in the most recent Articles and Memorandums, so long as they hold more than 25% of the issued shares then they are entitled to appoint 3 directors. The right to appoint the chairman expired in 2007 according to the most recent Art & Mems...however, this date seems to have magically appeared without resolution since the previous set of Art & Mems and is not mentioned in the original Special Resolution that put the right in place to begin with. It should be noted that the maximum number of directors was increased at last years AGM from "six" to "eight or such other number number of directors as the Board may from time to time determine". This hasn't happened and the Board remains the same, but if it ever were increased then Tulloch would no longer have control of the Board. The minimum number is 3. Please note that I am only giving the facts as I understand them from the documents referred too, how you choose to interpret that is up to you. This information is available to everyone via Companies House.
  8. We don't, and never have, celebrated our roots as a club....and that's kinda sad because we have not one, but two, rich and proud histories that date back long before 1994. So, the important thing as far as I am concerned, is that story is now readily available to all...especially to each and every new generation that comes through the ranks.
  9. how on earth did i get that so wrong? i'm an idiot.

  13. A bit of an own goal by ICT hosting this match on Friday night as its a kick in the teeth to Clachnacuddin who are playing Turriff Utd at the very same time We all know Clachs situation regarding money and there struggle to get punters through the turnstiles therefore this fixture should have been moved to a more suitable date They may well be legends but I won't be there as I will be going to Grant Street dougal
