The flag was returned to the stadium (by post) this morning and Kenny Cameron asked that I pass on the clubs thanks to the St Johnstone fans who retrieved and returned it (thought not to be the same ones who half inched it in the first place) and to our own fans (namely Capital Caley) who assisted in making that happen.

  3. I can recall Mr Doncaster repeatedly pushing for a 10 team SPL. Many clubs felt that they did not want nor need this, yet the issue was brought to the fore time and time again without any success. Did Mr Doncaster take this as a personal insult that his idea wasn't liked and push even harder make this come to fruition. Did Mr Doncaster learn anything about himself regarding his previous actions and experiences. Another issue has come to the fore to be discussed tomorrow 28/11/13, will attempting to change a decision made be deemed a personal insult, or will he listen and let common sense prevail, as not only is the current issue not wanted or needed, it is impractical, brings a greater danger to road users and with regards to Sporting integrity, if this tie takes place only 6 miles from the opposing club for the 2nd year running then the wrong people are running the organisation. Lets hope that common sense wins the day and that the cup organisers come out of this looking good by allowing changes to be made.

They are erseholes and are fortunate that they are not paying a fine for their disgraceful, law breaking act.
  5. I can assure you that these updates are purely driven by the Chairman wanting to keep the fans up to date (as much as is possible/practical) and are in no way influenced by, or in response too, the press/media speculation and chat.

    Well done to all.
  7. Hartley lacks top flight experience yes but his record at lower league level is nothing short of amazing when you look at how he started at Alloa. He has earned this move with what he has achieved. All other mentioned candidates carry a lot of baggage whereas with Hartley being untested but promising most folks seem to think he is the man to take charge. Think the fans will get behind him from the word go.
  8. Why not just concentrate on the football anyway and leave the new manager appointment to the club? Simples!
  9. He played the baddie in the 'road movie', The Hitcher!! The 1980's version. Fantasic film. A routine act of giving a stranger a lift turned into a catalogue of terror, suspense and murder!
  10. We used to hate Hartley as a player didn't we? He used to regularly get the 'horse's erse' chant but I can't remember what the history was........

Would be nice if this flag could be displayed within the TCS in order to prevent a similar incident occurring again. RIP Mikey :-(

Well not to the ones who pinched it !! SHINE on Mikey diamond.
  13. Interesting developments and a good bit of PR releasing that statement. I was thinking the new managerial appointment was imminent but know we know it'll likely be a week away. Fair play. It's a big decision for the board. Interesting that some of the candidates are still at clubs. Obviously Hartley, but maybe a couple of 'wildcards' that have slipped under the radar! Intriguing stuff. At least now I don't have to keep logging in here every half-hour...until next week!
  14. Conference Eric Odhiambo for Hereford v Halifax
  15. To extend the metaphor i read in another thread - Its like once you split up with an ex, after seeing her with another man - you realise you have a six pack, fantastic prospects and your better off without her. Just then, you get laid after a night in hoots and she stays all weekend and ends up being your bird, your ex seems like a fat user!! I actually voted Barry for the job, but I'm team Hartley now!
  16. I like the idea of Hartley, but if we appoint him we would have to recognise that if he did well he would be head hunted by much bigger clubs than us. He would be seen as a young manager with very bright prospects indeed. We'd be lucky if he stayed 2 years. Personally I would be more than happy with that if he was able to lift a trophy in that time.
  17. The Alloa Athletic fans' forum has gone into meltdown. Their 'PH to Caley Thistle' thread has 1 reply!
