Also at match today and agree Aberdeen the better side for much of the first half with some of the more experienced ICT players showing very little. Defensively ICT looked all over the place and the movement of Aberdeen's front three caused lots of problems. Agree ICT Roughi that second half was far better and Christie was certainly involved in much of Caley Thistle's best play. I have also attended most of the -20 matches at the stadium and have been hugely impressed with young Christie and bit surprised he hasn't figured at all in the first team this season. ICT could well have got something out of the game on their second half showing but paid the penalty for that disorganised first half display.
  2. Happy with that. Dumfries p*ss up Friday night, Stranraer p*ss up all day Saturday. Booked up and canny wait.

Currently there is no reason to change how we play as we have a system that is suited to the players we have. In terms of Shinnie at RB, I always think it looks awkward, whenever he gets the ball he either has to turn backwards or inside to get onto his left foot, that's ok when he's further up the pitch but in our own half it's more scary. Either he or perhaps more likely, Tremarco will be due to be suspended and I don't see the team being changed until then and nor do I think it should be. When that happens Raven should be slotted back into RB. SOme people suggesting Foran potentially being moved back up front, personally I don't see it and I hope not. He plays a far too important role in the middle of midfield both breaking up and making play. We really miss him when he isn't in there. I think this season so far has been one of his best here.

Considering we are only 2nd in the league, with a game in hand and on the verge of a cup final, with a chance in the other, I think it's time to ditch the current tactics and personnel. It's clearly not working.
  6. Perhaps you should change your user name to semi-colon ?
  7. What the hell were the comments on Sportscene about? Along the lines of Hughes will try and change our style of play to not be so direct and use the wings more?! WTF?!?! Have they watched us play this season. A recent home game there was much talk of how many passes before we scored. Doran uses the wings well and is amongst the leagues top for assists. Shinnies is great at breaking up the wing. These pr1cks do my head in, it's like they don't bother to watch us play and just assume we are 2nd by accident. Use that for your "Siege mentality" Yogi! @rseh0les.

Dry your eyes and move on folks
  9. They go on and on about Dundee Uniteds youngsters as if they are Fergies fledglings but never a word about how well our young players have done. Billy McKay - 25 Ross Draper - 25 James Vincent - 24 Marley Watkins - 23 Graeme Shinnie - 22 Aaron Doran - 22 Nick Ross - 22 Josh Meekings - 21 Ben Greenhalgh - 21 Liam Polworth - 19 They don't get the credit or recognition they deserve.
  10. No doubt CB will come along soon and defend BBC. Its probably all Salmonds fault.
  11. SCOTLAND ON SUNDAY "Compliments of the day were earned by Gary Warren, however, after he saved Steven Thompson from a booking late on. The defender lost his footing as the St Mirren striker slid in to him, and referee Callum Murray reached for his pocket in believing contact had been made. “I don’t usually do that, to be honest with you. But he is a nice guy, I like him, and I didn’t want to see him booked. “He didn’t touch me so I wasn’t going to roll around in agony, like quite a lot of people do nowadays. The ref was going to book him but, at the end of the day, he is an honest guy and so am I. To be fair to the ref he said to me afterwards he was going to book him and thanked me for saying there was nothing in it. In football these days a lot of players fake things and dive around. But this game was played in the right spirit. I like to be aggressive and tough but also be fair as well.” It will never catch on."
  12. Let him take his time.We don't Want a Boo Boo. Sorry, but someone had to say it.
  13. ..and a translator for the non-scots in all the team. I'd love to have been a fly on the wall when JH was being introduced to the players: Richie Foran: "........and tis is our number tree, Graeme Shinnie" John Hughes: "eh? Whit's a 'Number Tree'?" RF: "Eh?" JH: "Aw ye mean shree" RF: "No he's name's not Cheree, it's Graeme!" JH: "Eh?"
