  1. Haven't got a clue about those hearsays you publish but I do know this. Butcher has gone. He is no longer an ICT manager sowhatever happened, or didn't happen, prior to his departure has absolutely no bearing on our future so would it not be better to look to the future and leave the past in the past?
  2. So we should never mention the past ever again? Tell that to the people who mention February 8th 2000 once a month. There must be some people on here who know these things and have their own questions. I myself know a few things myself as alluded to on the other thread and elsewhere and would like to know what went on.
  3. Even if we took Taylor on a season long loan and ran down his deal. Id have him in a second, great player.
  4. Some people just can't accept there isn't some conspiracy going on behind the scenes at ICT. Involving directors/owners/chairmen/players/managers, hellbent on bringing the club down. Change the record
  5. Did you read what his definition of 'unsung' was though? Maybe a bad choice of word but I got the point.
  6. Taking £2 off a ticket doesn't sound much, but it would have reduced the clubs income by somewhere in the region of £130,000 over the season. All rough figures, but to cover that cost, you need to sell between 7500 & 11000 extra tickets over the season (depending on whether it's concession or full price). Which is the equivalent of increasing the average attendance by between 400 & 600. If free tickets aren't adding that many to the gate for a game, then a £2 discount certainly isn't going to do it. Maybe the question is....why aren't season ticket holders making better use of the "bring a friend for free" or "bring a friend for a fiver" type offers? Well, the truth is, they are....but (for the most part) instead of using the offer to bring along someone new, they're using them to get cheap entry for someone who already attends games but isn't a season ticket holder. Is it naive of the club to think that people who intended to attend the game anyway will pay full price when they can get a free/cheap ticket from a season ticket holding friend? Yes, probably. Is it too much to expect (more) season ticket holders to make use of these offers in the manner they are intended by bringing along someone new, someone who perhaps wasn't going to the game anyway...or, even treating someone who can't afford it and may never make any games otherwise? Since these offers have no significant positive impact on attendances and the offers are being taken up, then it would seem it is! So, whilst it's easy to point the finger at the club and say "you should be doing more" (and no doubt there's things they can/will), you have to look to the fans in equal measure and realise/accept that we also have a large part to play....if not directly, then at the very least by not partaking in activities which only serve to negate the efforts of the club.

We are referring to the manner in which Tokely, Munro and Duncan were treated and disrespected.

Malpas in the Scotsman on 13th Nov 13 - “I want to be at a club that’s got a chance to win trophies. Caley Thistle have got a great chance this season, but I just felt the potential here is far greater. “I’m a football guy who likes being on the training field and the facilities here are unbelievable. And it’s not anything to do with money. It’s about the things here that Caley couldn’t give me. That’s why, as soon as Terry asked me, I said yes." Potential to win Championship Trophy and the things Caley couldn't give....................lower league football
  9. Enganche, it means the hook. Basically the number 10 for all the old school mob. Playmaker, etc Or as most ICT fans would put it, the Andy Shinnie role. Tequartista is type of shadow striker, essentially like Del Piero. Neither term I learned from Football Manager, both, and others like Libero etc, were learned through watching continental football, and discussing the game with people outwith the UK, some being coaches. Maybe we could play him as a false 9...... It's not surprising armchair kids are turning to Football manager, the standard of football from those pixelated dots moving around, is far in excess of many a current SPFL game. And it costs considerably less. Perhaps when Scottish football brings its prices into line with the rest of Europe, and more in line with the standard on offer, fans might return. For years it's tried to kid on it's some kind of EPL diet version when in reality it's not even English league 1. And I think most people have better things to do now on a Saturday than fork out those sums for sub par entertainment. Why would people pay to watch a pub band at Rolling Stones prices?
