  1. Latest update from the IC is that one of the trialists has been let go without being offered a deal, we still have one on trial who scored a hat-trick in a bounce game (probably the one against Inverness city) during the week. Yogi went to the chairman last week with a name of a player who he'd like to sign in the hope of twisting his arm to offer a deal but there was no information on whether that was the current trialist or a.n.other and there was no info on whether this was likely or not. Yogi still hope to take in one or two trialists next week hence him letting one of the trialists go this week. It sounds like he hopes to add one player before the transfer window closes but that would suggest to me he maybe has plans to add one more seeing as he still wants 1 or 2 more trialists next week will post the link when it becomes available
  2. Now own up, which ICT poster is behind this? https://twitter.com/DerekAdams1929
  3. We will all actually miss him. It was great that County were managed by someone we could so easily ridicule, for poor results, his derby record and most of all, his personality.
  4. Give the man a break all his ex players might not have a twitter account

  6. I hope he takes the job myself. Butcher took over at Motherwell and should have been relegated in his first season. Butcher took over at ICT and was relegated in his first season. Butcher took over at Hibs and was relegated in his first season. See a pattern arising here?
  7. I suspect Team Butcher would do a very good job for them. Took over at ICT when we were bottom of the SPL and dire, built a new team on a shoestring budget, took us to two semi-finals, our first ever Top 6, a bawhair away from Europe, and left us second top of the league. County are a very similar club.
  8. I would hope not. In his position, he needs us more than we need him! He's battling-back to overcome a serious injury, which at his career stage, (and football age) may see him struggle to recapture his form of old. And, To be honest, his best days are already behind him. Any player who goes off to play in the backwater of India (in football terms) in the 'prime' of their career surely hasn't lived up to their early career potential. If a player like that is holding-us-to-ransom, I'd say 'no thanks'! Edit: Libero 'beat' me by a minute in posting - what I've said mirrors his views entirely regarding Gow!
  9. A wee twist of the arm to meet the demands of Gow perhaps?
  10. Remember folks, County Fans are real people too....
  11. yeah, thats the one that caught my eye too ... Has Grant done his coaching badges? seems strange to be listed so high in the odds .... would have thought the likes of Barry Wilson or Robbo would feature in the odds ... sure the front runner odds will sort out over the coming days .... in the meantime ....
  12. Agreed. There was also the time he was barged to the ground by Jamie Hammill. Can we get some video clips please, just for old times sake? A Derek Adams tribute compilation, if you like. You really mean this though, don't you http://meemsy.com/v/5592
  13. Arrogant, deluded, ignorant, biased, hypocritical, in denial, petty, bitter, greetin, ill tempered seethe. I have no sympathy for him
  14. I'd hate them to appoint someone we might actually like!. Terry Butcher would be perfect. Then we could remind him on a regular basis of how we felt about the way he left us.

  16. A complete joke. Not surprised though. The League Cup rules are available to view and they categorically state that at the last 16 stage, the 8 highest ranking clubs will be seeded to play the 8 lowest ranked teams from the previous season's league positions. In other words, if Rangers beat us, they should be playing any one of 8 Premiership clubs. But this farce ensures that instead, they're potential opponents are 2 Premiership and 6 Championship clubs. You couldn't make it up. Well, the SPFL clearly have! To suit The Rangers. Let's hope we beat them to make this academic. But it still won' make it right. One quick glance at a Rangers fans forum there - and there are threads including how they're always 'persecuted', why they're always treated with contempt and cheated by the SFA, the media, the SPL and the SPFL...and 'what can we do to punish the clubs on our return to the SPL? - for voting us out of that league'. We didn't vote you out - you were liquidated and ceased to exist! We just didn't want a new club gate-crashing the top flight or second-tier - when natural justice dictated that you should start at the bottom! (And it should've been lower that the 4th tier).

Sorry for reviving this old thread - well I'm not actually, cos it still makes great reading I was surprised to see the other day that Steve Marsella is still at Hibs - but he has effectively been demoted, now reporting in to Graeme Mathie who Alan Stubbs has brought in to be responsible for scouting and recruitment. It appears that Stubbs was pretty appalled at the scouting set-up he inherited, saying that player recruitment will no longer be done "based on Wikipedia and one person's opinion." Ouch!
