Now we've joined Europe's elite I'd have thought we'd be getting invites to take part in those prestigious pre-season tournaments featuring the likes of Arsenal, Monaco, and some unheard of Japanese team.
  2. I don't know if it is just the BBC but anyhow, it was on the BBC website that I noted that in the fixtures for the FIFA Women's World Cup they are appending the word "Women" after the country names. For instance, tonight we have Sweden Women v Nigeria Women. Given that the competition name explicitly has the word "Women" in it, it seems totally unnecessary to add this into the team name. Is this just the BBC being overtly sexist in how they are reporting the competition? It's a shame really because the women's game deserves to be taken seriously on it's own merits without people reporting it in a sexist way or making cheap sexist jokes about it. I have watched some of the early highlights and there is some really pretty good stuff on display. The football's been OK too.

Thanks for that. Do you find just the one thick anorak does the job, or do you wear loads of thin ones in a sort of layer system

Yeah, it is a bit clumsy, but as UEFA do the 2nd round draw immediately after the 1st round draw, and it does cause some confusion. Looking at the list below, we are on the right-hand-side (unseeded) and will remain there regardless of what happens in the 1st round games. The teams on the left will definitely be seeded. The asterisk effectively means 'winner of the tie involving that club'. If an asterisked club loseses their 1st round game, the victors would assume those coefficient points for the purposes of the 2nd round draw. eg if West Ham lost to say Cork City in the 1st round, Cork City would 'take over' West Ham's 16pts coefficient. The 10 clubs I've listed above, you'll notice are not asterisked, as they are definitely seeded for the 2nd round draw! Complicated? You bet!!
  5. Winning the Europa League will secure us automatic qualification into the 2016 Champions League group stages. Not that bothered about the European Super Cup to be honest, but would be a nice bonus, a bit like the North of Scotland Cup.
  6. That's a staggering signing for Brora! And a huge shot-in-the-arm for Highland football. He could easily have gone to the likes of Dundee, Killie, Motherwell etc... but clearly wants to remain up here. Another indication, that the world doesn't revolve around the Central Belt.

  9. Not finalised yet, but wheels are in motion for production of a double DVD.
  10. Lovely to see that photo of Gordy, who we remembered while at Hampden. I would also like to pay tribute to all of the dear, departed Dads who introduced us to the terraces of Telford St or Kingsmills Rd, and who would have loved to see this day. I know quite a few of us thought of them last Saturday.

Been to Thun - would be a great tie. Nice city and they have a bridge, a castle and a loch too.
  13. Marley on twitter: "Absolutely loved my time at ICTFC - amazing family football club which deserves more local support - I'll never forget the cup run. Moving to another Scottish team would have been wrong so close to what we achieved recently! Kenny Cameron and the rest of lads are heroes!"
