In terms of clubs that have potential which we like to use in Scotland the reality is that Celtic & Rangers are top of the tree, below that we have Aberdeen, Hearts, Hibs & Dundee Utd for size of club and capability to get large fan numbers in and build a sustained period of success if managers are given time. Below that there are clubs like ours, St J, Motherwell, Partick Thistle, Dundee etc who can build teams and exceed expectations short term then fall away. DUtd is a step up in tersm of club ststure but right now in terms of football its a step back or across and only a manager who has huge self belief or likes a gamble would go there from a stable club as the chances of being given time (4 or 5 years) and some money to build a team and create something lasting is slim - clubs want immediate results and with that comes short term success which is what helps stall real progress.

They should take a look at that fellow MacIntyre - he seems to be doing no bad. Dunno if United could match his wages though!
  5. Due to Celtic's participation in the Europa League the game on 28th November has been moved to 29th November with a 12:15pm KO.
  6. It's generously sized. Much better than Errea size wise.

You're worried about him leaving now? Makes a change from this!
  8. So how can Rangers be worth £31.5 million while hundreds of creditors have never been paid the millions they were owed earlier - unless this of course is some other Rangers that didn't win 54 league titles (is it 54?? - I don't actually care) in years gone by?
  9. Only putting 2 past Aberdeen doesn't look too clever either...
  10. Just over a week ago we were faced with a a pair of tricky fixtures against in form teams, and I'd have been really pleased with 2 points. To get 6 points is just brilliant. Mind you, our recent failure to beat Dundee Utd, even with half our team missing, looks a bit embarrassing now.
  11. Great result indeed and a great atmosphere created by the fans but we can do without the stupid, illegal and potentially dangerous actions of the few wee boys who never seem to learn.
  12. Great result from the boys on Saturday and great performance from the lads behind the goal for creating an atmosphere, loved the smoke bombs and the flare .

the sj chairmans statement is football speak for " if you want our manger it will be big bucks compo" if hughes is next on their list not a problem let him go. we were playing good footie up until end of january last season. won 4 games out of last 15. beating du twice, relegated st Mirren and Dundee. we were lucky du were in free fall and sj were too far behind to catch up for Europe through league place. this season we were crying out for a striker and hughes bought instead 6-7 midfielders,.... oops sorry he actually thought lopez was a striker. eventually the chairman took matters into his own hands and found miles storey according to hughes "Miles Storey is rapid quick," he said. "It's all credit to the chairman who came in with the name actually. hughes picked up his manager of the year, Europe and Scottish cup from a team built by butcher. if he does go we could try to get the new Liverpool manager jurgen klopp's brother........
