  1. They don't make the club look a joke but they do make themselves look pathetic, immature and ridiculous. They have had enough warnings and personally, once the CCTV footage is reviewed, I hope that a few of them receive a knock on their doors. Vandalism and offensive behaviour would not be tolerated on the High Street or the Eastgate Centre, It shouldn't be tolerated in a football ground.
  2. I thought that Miles Storey had his best game in a long while last Saturday and that was playing on the wings which I have been quite dubious of in the last few games. Taking the goal aside, I just thought that Miles ran riot on the left hand side of the pitch and I actually felt that there was shades of Marley Watkins about him. I seriously hope we put all our efforts to sign him up on a permanent basis.
  3. Absolutely delighted on Saturday and it hasn't worn off yet! We totally dumped on their party and their was no better way to do it. It must have been the worst trophy celebration ever. Anyway back to the game. What a performance from the boys, after Fon Williams early save and Irvine hitting the post we dominated! They barely looked like scoring where as we could've had 4 or 5. Glad to see polworth and storey back in the team, both had good games, both scored and what a goal storeys was. One disappointment was Liam Hughes...I'm sorry but he's sh*te. Everyone else was great! I must admit I'd rather see meekings at CB but Devine hasn't had a shocking season so I wasn't all that shocked to see him stay there! What a difference Tansey makes to the team and draper looked better with his partner back in the team! Was glad to see Ryan Williams get a run and he looked decent but still think the money on him and Hughes could've gone on a goal scorer! The only other disappointment of the day was some of the muppets that attended! They don't realise how much they ruin it for others. I was in the signing section and it was decent crack, (despite being stuck behind one or two bigger guys) signing and bouncing but again those boys letting off smoke bombs, starting on stewards, standing on chairs, shouting abuse at police (who were only doing their job) and abusing others was totally un-needed and stupid! And serves them right if they get punished! So I'm sorry if any of them are on here, but you's are idiots and make the club look like a joke.
  4. My understanding is the true name of the company is 'Inverness Thistle and Caledonian' which trades and plays under the name Inverness Caledonian Thistle. I'd assume the club would own the rights to all the different titles and that of the old clubs.
  5. Yes it was good to see and from Tremarco as well, it is great to read a lot of good comments for a change, I nearly didn't go to the game really glad I did it was a great afternoon out could not fault any of the team for their performance lets hope they will do the same from now till the end of the season.
  6. You are correct, it's a rebranding of the old Scotrail team who've rebranded after Abellio refused to fund them. Seemingly they've gone with the Thistle AFC title due to some of the players playing for the real Thistle at youth level. There's also a Caley in the Welfare League system as well. It isn't though a refusenik phoenix club, rather the pub team for the Caledonian bar! There's a Citadel somewhere as well. Also begs the question, do ICT still own the rights to the Thistle name and other things? I would have thought they would.
  7. Motherwell winning on Sat was a big result, doubt many expected them to get points in their last few games other than against us, which we would have had in our control. There's so many possible combinations of results, its hard to know where we will end up. I do think 2 wins from the next 3 and if we miss Top 6, we should be clear of any relegation threat even in the bottom 6. The unpredictability of the league, equal quality teams, inconsistency, surprise results, thank god this Armageddon period will end next season and we can get back to boring predictability!!!!
  8. Unfortunately I didn't make the game, but after watching the highlights, while we played well, a defensive mistake gave Irvine a great chance but we got lucky and he missed, had he scored would it have been the same old ICT chase the game. We do better when teams come at us and we can sit in and try hit on the break, this is why taking the lead is so important, when we go behind or have to break teams down we lack that creativity or quality. Great result and demonstration of commitment to get us back on winning ways, now to press on and pick up 6 points from the games against Motherwell & DUtd, maybe even a result against Hearts. Still not convinced by Yogi's tactics and line ups recently but vindicated in this case by the result that on Sat he got it right or it worked.
  9. Top 6 is still a possibility. There are still many combinations of results which could do it for us. I've left St Johnstone out because I think they will win at least one of their two remaining games, giving them 46 points. Our best is 45 by winning all 3 games. Partick could get to 46 by winning all 3 of their remaining games, but that would mean Ross Co only getting to 43 max. Dundee could get to 46 but that is unlikely, as they have to play Celtic and Ross Co. Even if they won those two, then Ross Co could only get to 43 max. Ross Co could get to 46 by winning their last two games, but then Dundee and Partick could only get to 43 max Motherwell could get to 47 but surely will not get beyond 41 as they play us and Celtic. If we were to beat 'Well and Dundee Utd but only draw with Hearts, that would put us on 43 as well. Then it would be down to goal difference between up to 4 teams, which could be very tight indeed So, by my maths, 45 will definitely do it for us, 43 we'd still have a shout, any fewer than 43 we'll probably miss out. All still to play for then. We have to play like we did against Count for another 3 games. Come on lads, you can do it. Onwards and Upwards!
  10. Superb win with I think the best 90 mins performance all season. Every player played their part and in particular Storey, Draper and Warren has excellent games. Devine was also had a solid performance and made no mistakes - well done. A special mention to the fans who came out in force and gave the team tremendous backing.
  11. Best league away day ever. Only Hampden last season comes close. Great win on County's party day on their patch. Stunning 3rd goal made everyone relax and start our own party. Every player played their part. Only disappointment being that we kind of coasted the last 30 mins when we could have got more. Brilliant away atmosphere with lots of loud, enthusiastic, witty singing relentlessly taking the mickey out of County. Hope some of it finds its way onto youtube. Wish we played like that every/most weeks.
  12. Any player that has signed since yogi started is his signing, it doesn't matter who found the player really. He's the manager and gets the final say on the players surely. I'd like to keep both keepers actually, a bit of competition for places would be great for the team next season. Esson would be a good back up but would he ever be brought back into the team if there was a dip in form of our no.1? Probably not and most likely would only start if our regular was out injured. That isn't going to keep anyone on their toes. Keep Brill and OFW and have Esson as our goalkeeping coach.
  13. Great result only spoiled by the behaviour of some so called fans who thought it was a good idea to verbally abuse women and children in the street before the game .
  14. -1 points
So does that mean you have to crawl to and from your seat then? This is actually a serious observation since there is bound to be a grey area as to what constitutes necessary standing and some jobsworth steward desperate to assert his authority. Reading this thread is simply reinforcing the questions I already have as to how much tolerance football fans in general are going to be willing to maintain of a situation where they are paying serious money to watch football, simply to find their freedom of action severely constrained both inside and outside the ground - including the risk of being arrested under legislation which applies solely to football fans.
