  1. Just a quick post to say that this is still very much on the cards. Hope to be in a position to give a major update this side of xmas. We'll also be looking to recruit more fan volunteers to assist with delivery of things like match updates, commentary and some other projects.....and not just the first team.

  2. Little chance against Celtic?...............Who is this wonderful Celtic that all the pundits are raving about?.................Two dodgy draws against richer opposition and they think the world is at their feet. Richie Foran got it very right tonight with ;his comments on STV regarding Celtic not being as far ahead in the field as is being made out to be. Oh yes they ;have some excellent players or players who could be and should be excellent but as a team they like the Dons, are still a side of good individuals. The two most improved Teams in the league are ICT and the Rangers who play as Teams then you have Hearts and St. Johnstone who have also improved and are stabilising as Teams with their form currently ahead of last season. No Celtic are not that far ahead of the others, in points at the moment yes but there is a long way to go in the league and despite their wealth I can foresee a number of difficult matches ahead for them. Fingers crossed OFW will be back, his experience is vital for this match and that is no slur on anybody else. We will miss Tremarco but what an able deputy we have in David Raven. I am not in any despairing mode for this match the lads will give it a real go and we should acquit ourselves well.

  4. It's recognition for the progress he has made since coming here. Working in a strange land, learning new ways and a language barrier, getting up to speed, scoring goals and looking generally sharper all round. Well done Lonsana, it's wonderful to be involved with your national squad, I hope you will be as successful as you have been in growing into your role at Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

  5. Doumbouya showing real promise and putting in a shift. Lesson to me and maybe a few others is to be patient as sometimes it takes time to settle in. Glad Fisher being offered a new deal now as well tho.

  6. Yes, the crowd was disappointing for Saturday, particularly given the up-turn in entertainment. However, the truth is that our core support is 2500 ish; an away support of less than 200 and a few non-season ticket holders makes the sub-3000 total. Even for the Celtic game, the casual supporters probably only totalled about 500. It's not about cost or the quality of the product, or indeed a lack of effort by the club. The bottom line is that people would prefer to spend their money on Sky or BT to watch EPL football than to support their local team. It's not a problem for ICT, but for Scottish football and it's not an easy problem to solve.

  7. By the amount of kids I'm seeing in town wearing ICT tops I think a change could be upon us , if the team can keep performing and the club can come up with initiatives like the under 12 going free one then there's hope .

  8. I am not involved in poring over any of the options any more (thank feck) but I am happy in the knowledge that the person who is doing so is very much like his old avatar of a dog with a bone. Pretty confident that Don will try to (is in the process of) find(ing) out all the ins and outs of all the possible options, will look for a solution that is the best fit for the fans and the club at an affordable cost, and get the relevant buy-in from others to get it implemented when those numbers make sense in terms of both performance and cost. Keep suggestions coming though ... just in case there are any viable options he hasn't got round to considering and recommending to the directors yet. Sounds like many of us on here (and likely just as many who dont come on here) would consider a subscription at that very reasonable cost, and not just those of us living abroad. I make a point of watching the club's own video highlights most weeks and the production quality keeps increasing ... its exponentially better than the ones we were putting together a few years ago when the video stuff was first posted and we were throwing together a video from the BBC with a few overlays in Adobe Premiere each Monday morning. Kudos to those who give up their time and skill to do this as volunteers, and glad to see so many folk would be happy to contribute to the costs via subscription.

    • Kelty Hearts Training Statement
What a farce we have become, a laughing stock: Did you hear the one about the footbal team from the Highlands of Scotland that want to train at Cowdenbeath? Unfortunately, unlike our board, this is not a joke. Our board are trying to rip our identity from the Highlands and replace it with shared training at Kelty Hearts. I kid you not, this is not a drill and the clowns that run our club appear to be delighted at this coup.

    • Relegation Statement
RELEGATION STATEMENT: This could have been said ten minutes after our defeat to Hamilton three days ago. So far, this is not the news that we on Caley Thistle Online wanted to hear. Pleased that we will still function as a club, disappointed that resignations have not been offered yet. Keeping fans waiting in silence for three days is unforgivable and relationships are drifting further apart than ever before. Silence is not the way forward, we deserve better as fans.

    • Inverness CT 2-3 (3-5) Hamilton - Play off final (relegation)
RELEGATED: Despite Inverness needing to get off the mark quickly, it was Accies that killed the tie inside the first fifteen minutes with strikes from Kevin O'Hara and Lewis Smith. Cammy Kerr reduced the leeway with a good strike from distance, but O'Hara struck again with a penalty before the break to diffuse the revival. We struggled to create anything of note and this reporter could not stomach any more and left the stadium. I'm told Alex Samuel pulled a goal back in stoppage time, but like the rest of the season it was too little too late.

    • Hamilton 2-1 Inverness CT - Play off final 1st Leg
A better showing from Inverness in the second half, especially with Lawal and Pepple on the park but it's Hamilton that take a one goal advantage up the A9 on Saturday. Lawal has been the standout performer in our last few games and surely he must start on Saturday. Pepple also did well, scored the goal, had an effort saved and got in a few balls across the box from tight positions.

Still, a shocker of a first half and we must be up for it from the start on Saturday.
