  1. Lets face it macaroni cheese costs nothing to produce nor does decent home made soup, proper bovril, nor a HOT pie come to that instead of some lukewarm offering. No one likes feeling they are being ripped off and ICT are not alone in offering so called soup and bovril consisting of some dust in the bottom of a cup and some hot water. As someone on here said, there is no substitute for having a winning team on the park. I also feel the people of Inverness had become tired of the SPL and I have to confess it is a boring competition due to inequality in financial terms. I remember being at a match against Celtic during the time Dargo played for us, he scored inside 5 minutes, missed a penalty and Hartson scored the equaliser, it was a great game and the home support was packed in. In recent seasons ICT have had trouble in selling the home seat allocation against the OF . The main problem with our football generally is the lack of money, Burnley got £118M for finishing 7th in the premiership Aberdeen got £2.3M for finishing 2nd, in today's game £2.3M buys you nothing, I'm afraid our game is headed to oblivion with more clubs becoming part time. None of the Croatian players who reached the WC final play in their domestic league which is impoverished as a result. I have the feeling that at some point either due to financial circumstances or indifference TV audiences will wane and we might get back to supporters being important to the game once more, here's hoping, as Jock Stein said "the game is nothing without the supporters"

Loads of comments after the Tynie performance. I am simply putting it down to "a bad day at the office". We got our tactics wrong, we put out the wrong formation BUT we were holding our own before we were blitzed by - lets say three well fashioned and executed goals. The League has to be our focus. Some people are asking for wholesale changes BUT we don't have the squad to do that. Would like to see how the others would change it around for Falkirk. Me I would drop Rooney, replace at full back with Brad McKay and bring McCart into the middle with Donaldson. Up front I would pair White and Austin. I suspect that White would be much better with a player up beside him and Austin must surely have a point to prove. An alternative which will not happen YET is to pair up Austin and wee Danny McKay. Now midfield is the problem area. Doran has clearly got to be given time and space to be the playmaker but he has to do a lot more work as well. He looked good but was static at Tynie. It probably will not happen but I would go for Calder and Walsh wide and Doran and Polly in the middle. One sitting (probably Doran) and Polly in a roving role. That also means a high line defence. SO ?? RIDGERS McKAY McCART DONALDSON TREMARCO CALDER DORAN POLWORTH WALSH WHITE AUSTIN
  3. Well as a father with two boys last season cost me £20 to attend a match now that has risen to £32. This means I now won't be attending as many matches as this is simply not affordable when you have kids wanting a drink and something to eat at the game as well. Thought they were wanting to get back to being a community orientated club. This is just going to force more folk to stop going.

Game against Falkirk is far more important than the Hearts imo. We need a good start and 3 points would be a massive result, with two home games on the bounce giving us a chance to get a great srart to the league campaign.

Didn't see the game and only switched on the radio in time to hear Hearts first three goals. Only listened up to half time as had work to do but the commentators seemed to indicate that while Hearts were worth their lead, we were unlucky and had played okay. Whether these comments were accurate, I cannot say but perhaps puts a slightly different complexion on some of the comments posted. To have some posters virtually writing off our season is ridiculous. Results like this happen and our season will be defined by how we do in the league. Judge the team and manager on that performance. One thing that I would agree with is that I think our defence does need some work. I have only seen the Raith game but thought only Donaldson played okay that night. Changes needed for Saturday perhaps?.
  6. Had a couple of burgers at our ground last season maccyds standard they weren't a seagull would turn his beak up at them! Defo improvement needed there
