  1. Suggesting that work is going on behind the scenes is maybe the case, however the handling of situations in and around the club in the media has been a shambles over the last few years - Foran, OFW, Warren, Shearer, ST renewals, Tulloch & car parks etc. We all know the history of these cases and IMO none have been handled particularly well at all. Nobody expects details of all ongoings at the club but what is needed is more honest statements coming out and not spin just when they want money. If that cant be done then retract the statement on 'better' communication and go back to how the previous board was (also free up money by removing those brought in to improve this as its not working) - I'd rather nothing was said from the club than some of whats been put or leaked out. Also not sure why some are turning on CJT as its not their position to follow up and announce information direct from the club when we have those employed to do so.
  2. Apologies if Ive misread the situation here There was no intention to knock anyone I just went on what youve postee earlier in thread. I meant no offence. What I meant was that there are all kinds of supporters and some wish more involvement than others? Ive never been part of the Im a better supporter than you brigade. We need all the supporters we can get regardless of where we live.
  3. Im sure everyone including Mrs Crook is working their socks off it would just be nice if they told us about their achievements sometimes. Mrs Crook has been fairly invisible to most supporters since she took up her post. A football club is totally different to most other businesses in that a lot of us invest a lot of time and energy in supporting our team. There are some like CM in Berks that just like to turn up watch and go home but there are a large proportion of fans (Id like to suggest) who do value engagement by those that run the club. Information, events etc do seem thin on the ground to me and it doesnt cost anything to improve communication and make interested fans seem valued. With regard to your last point I did email the chairman last season and did receive a reply and my concern was addressed. It might be good if the club advertised an email that fans could use to communicate with the club. My guess is that most wouldnt have a clue how best to contact Mr Rae or Mrs Crook et al at the moment. Just a suggestion.
  4. 1 point
Of course we should. Half the population are female. What an achievement for Scotland to top quite a difficult group and qualify for the World Cup Finals. Women's football and women's sport in general has been neglected for far too long.
  5. Just a quick note in regards to where the ICT Supporters Trust sits at the moment.... As many of you will be aware, there was a fairly recent change of board with the Supporters Trust which came about as the result of a call from members who had concerns over the state the organisation had found itself in. When the new board took over, we communicated that the first order of business would be to sort out our own internal affairs and operations; with a view to presenting a society that was fit for purpose at the next AGM (set for December this year). We should (without doubt) be taking a lead on many of the issues being raised in this thread, but the harsh reality is that the Supporters Trust inherited by the current board was in no position to be calling into question the clubs governance, communication etc. whilst it's own was a total shambles. We have made solid inroads into getting our own house in order and we have also had an initial introductory meeting with the Club CEO, Yvonne Crook. The Supporters Trust has a board meeting of their own on Thursday and we intend to issue a more comprehensive update on where we are at with various items by the start of next week. None of the above should preclude individuals from raising concerns direct with the club. In the absence of a direct address, an email to [email protected] with a request to forward it to the CEO is probably the best way for doing that.
  6. "4. Which three of the following factors do you consider to be the most important when deciding whether to attend games" ? What kind of question is that, I don't put thought into whether I should attend or not, I just go, that's what being a football fan is about, going to games no matter what the circumstances.
  7. If they are not going to post the most basic of information which fans have to find elsewhere, they are unlikely to want to engage in helpful and informative dialogue and exchange of ideas. What a great shame. Other than online ticketing, it's difficult to see what purpose the official site has these days.
  8. Wind your neck in she was referring to you previous point of not caring about what the board does and you like to turn up and watch a game. Nothing to do with your distance but you were quite happy to belittle other fans who want the board to Interact with the fan base. Appears no one is allowed an opinion unless it's in line with your own.
  9. She never said anything about you being a bad supporter. Wind your neck in ?
  10. Thanks for singling me out OCG. Perhaps if you lived 500 miles or more away from Inverness, your involvement on a day to day basis might not be as great as it is either. It doesn't make us 'bad ' supporters, and some of us, including me, have made sizeable investments in ICT via share purchases in the past, as a way of helping the club out. So don't knock the 'long distance' supporters. I suggest we need all we can get through the gates, even if, for me, only a few times a year.
