  1. The thing is, even amateur & semi pro teams can subscribe to template-type websites such as Pitchero which include a fan app in the price which is about £20/month. You can see this system used in the English pyramid for teams who get bigger attendances than us. But a so-called pro team like ICT don't seem to have anybody in charge who has the slightest clue. Scotty & Don did all the spadework for years but apparently the club no longer needs their skills and experience...
  2. This is almost certainly taking things too far but what about an ICT app? The programme has gone digital so that could be included in the app for people to read, buy match tickets, 50/50 tickets, team line ups, video highlights etc could all be wrapped up in there.
  3. That was grim. Midfield anonymous until Calder came on. What does he have to do to get a start? Likewise Daniel Mackay, who immediately got stuck in and at least caused a bit of threat. Not convinced with our other striking options. One up front doesn't work when the midfielders keep turning back towards their own half, and there is nothing to suggest that White and Austin might form an effective partnership. Honourable mentions to Donaldson, captain in waiting, Ridgers, for the save at the end, and Charlie Trafford, who showed more finesse flicking a ball up during the half time warm up, than the entire team did in the first half.
  4. Had there been any proper objective assessment of his performance he would have had £110,000 deducted from what is, in any case, a salary well in excess of what the job merits. Why is it that the people who receive this type of bonus always seem to be the sort of people who are least deserving on them? The very least one might expect from people being paid these huge sums is that they accept invitations from the media to justify their decisions. Typically, none of the people involved in making the decision were "available" to be interviewed on Radio Scotland this morning.
  5. I understand that Neil Doncaster received remuneration of £247,000 last year including a £110,000 "performance bonus". Given is level of competence, that strikes me as about £220,000 too much. His Highland League equivalent is paid expenses only and does a far more efficient and effective job.
  6. I had hoped to get a short update out following the Supporters Trust's meeting with the club, but I've not managed it yet (obviously). Will aim to get this done tomorrow.
  7. There doesn't seem to be anyone at the club capable of organising someone to stand in the north stand to sell tickets before the game ?
  8. Yes, but don't forget the Scottish Police Federation were not consulted over this. The SPFL will have discussed this with Police Scotland. Just as there seems to be a disconnect between the SPFL and the clubs, there is a disconnect between Police Scotland and the Police officers who will actually be tasked with policing the streets of Glasgow with 100,000 fans of 4 different clubs. If the senior officers of Police Scotland felt there was a significant problem with the arrangements they would have vetoed them.
  9. The odd bump in the road! On Saturday it was a huge pothole I an hoping for a great improvement against Morton.
  10. the club needs to look at selling tickets online, folk who aren't at the game could buy one which brings in more revenue plus they could do it as a subscription where you play every week and the money is debited from your account similar to the national lottery online.
  11. Well, a bit of a long day for me. up at 5am for the long hike up and back down South again at 1am in the morning. Arguably the game didn't justify the effort, but any opportunity to see Caley live, is one I enjoy! The weather made the whole game a bit of a lottery, and I don't think some of the people around me appreciated that! But other than the free kick we kept Dobbie quiet and hence ensured the clean sheet. At the other end though we didn't really threaten, although we dominated the game for much of the first half. Second half QoS came into it more, maybe the wind was in their favour, but we eventually got more control. Of the new guys Welsh impressed me a fair bit, and Walsh looks like a more consistent version of Mulraney. Watching Rooney, the word that comes to mind is 'solid' ....not necessarily in a good way! He seems dangerous rampaging forward in a straight line, but anything that involves a change in direction, or quick reactions seems beyond him, and watching him try to shimmy past a defender, well his brain might be telling him he can do it, but his talent doesn't extend that far! Not convinced he is an upgrade on Seedorf or better long term propect, but hey we got a clean sheet against Ayr and he's scored two goals so what do I know. The rest of the defence did a fine job with what they were facing. First time I've seen White, and he looks OK as a target man, winning the ball and laying it off a few times, but doesn't look like the man to score many goals, not without a second foward next to him. The last time I saw Austin was in the late season game against Dunfermline, when he was brilliant, then got injured and we lost our momentum....so it was good to see him back, and he had a few moments that were encouraging, along with Mackay and Calder, which was good to see, as it feels like there were options on the bench. Doran was possibly a contender for MoTM for us, much of the good stuff came from him, and to think of all those months when he was never fit, it's great to see. Polly was busy but quiet at the same time, whereas Chalmers looked like he is a decent footballer, but his touch was off....to progress this season we need to move away from two deep lying midfielders to one with the other much closer to the front man. Which brings me to Angus Beith...what the hell has happened to this guy? No appearances, no subs bench, is he injured or what? I was hoping he was the new messiah to replace Vigurs. So not quite firing on all cylinders, not a match to linger long in the memory, but at this early stage of the season we are well in contention, so still happy.
  12. When we had a similar situation a while back I wrote to the SFA about the situation. I said I wanted to be a responsible supporter and follow the police advice and make my way straight to Hampden after getting off the train. I informed them that the last train before kick off got in the night before kick off and I therefore expected to arrive at Hampden some time before 11pm. Given that it seemed unreasonable to expect me to hang around outside the stadium all night I asked if I could be let in and pitch a tent on the pitch. Funnily enough, I never got a reply!
  13. Polworth.......................... really. have you been to specsavers?
  14. Disgraceful but no surprise. Pandering to the needs of Celtic and a team who are very fortunate to have been admitted to the league system at all. Both these teams have a big enough advantage as it is with every single semi final and every final being played in their home city without making it as difficult as possible for away fans to travel for ridiculous kick off times on a Sunday. Nothing will change until the personnel running our game are changed for some who are prepared to be less Weegiecentric. No great love for either of them but hoping for a Hearts v Aberdeen final.
  15. Agree totally with you on this IHE. Too many posters seem to have an agenda against the current board. This seems to be that they want the board to communicate on everything and anything even when it isn't required and would add nothing in terms of moving the club forward
  16. But We ARE the most successful club in the Highlands - and bantering windups are most welcome
