  1. No-one knows how good Machado will be and he's very young and inexperienced. But I feel confident in saying he is definitely going to be the best player we've ever had, probably the best player in Scottish football and after he's won us the Scottish cup and secured promotion we'll sell him to PSG to clear up the accounts. It's a certainty.
  2. I am going to post this in here and in the AGM thread just so we are clear. It is acceptable to post that you believe the board is doing a good job or a bad job, that is your opinion and you are entitled to it. It is acceptable to reference things that are in the public domain such as the resignation of individuals, the fact that our recently resigned CEO is a relative of our chairman and the proprietor of a company now providing service to the club, or the state of our accounts, but without proof or anything to substantiate things it is NOT acceptable to post blanket statements such as the directors are lining their pockets. As noted by another poster this comes very close to defamation unless you have evidence to back that up. Please post opinion or fact but dont step over the line by posting opinion AS fact .....

I think that you are getting very close to making defamatory accusations, and I am surprised that the mods haven't said anything. By all means, criticise the Board, but if you can't prove it, don't say it.

Do you think we can all enter into a pact not to mention the Scotland international team unless it's the women's game?

You need to go to the Blog entry and choose entry actions then edit. Once there you can edit various bits and pieces of the individual entry, but what you are looking for is the entry called 'Feature Photo'. Drag an image there or upload one and it will be used as the article image. I recommend using 1200x300 to keep it reasonably sized and consistent on front page but rectangular of any size should be ok (within reason).

That was me. the block was set to show only 5. I have now set it to display all and ordered it by last post date so the 'freshest' blogs are at the top.
  7. Like on a match day just sit quiet and enjoy a Wurthers (other old folks sweeties are available). The hostility that comes along when the idea of challenging any activity at the top suggests this is what some parties would want fans to do.
  8. I've now had a chance to speak to 2 of those in the know and heres my facts without any personal opinion pokes at anyone so scotty can chill. - Graham Rae is on the whole a good bloke. He didn't want the job, but took it on and in the many times where cash was needed quickly to get to the end of the month or pay the bills and wages, he got out his chequebook. we should remember that although he needs to realise that loans in football don't get repaid and this canna last. but he did appoint the CEO and she well bullied staff and didn't produce the goods herself. shed have been found out if she hadn't walks, but by then it was to late and a lot of good guys had gone or were about to go. still might. Think Chairman recognises that he made a massive c... up and trying to make amends now. muirfield mills cash has stopped and probs they and Rae want out quick. - Danny. CEO hounded him ands was backed by Rae so him walking was also going to happen. don't expect that to be over and probs more squeaking of bums by board when it gets round to dealing with his boys advising him. another hefty payout? - AGM - felt that none of the big questions re our club were answered and just ducked. but we own the club and it was dangerous for Rae to ignore us surely. there was mention of a long letter or report which Mackenzie (the land deal boy) the former v-c sent to Rae after he left. basically sets out why he walked all whats wrong and then what needs to be done quick to put it right. meant to be no holds barred stuff. Rae ducked questions on that letter at AGM but as shareholders i'd like to see that letter and get to bottom of what's happening to the club and my shares. mackenzie's day job in glasgow was commercial law and business stuff and knows about insolvency and all the scary stuff so why the hell can't we see it. bet no one else took the time to delve into the s...t and call out the issues. it was sent to Rae some of the staff have a copy and its now leaked out. so........ lets see it please. otherwise chat was that new board needed prepared to invest and not just do the emergency cash drops and folk that know the town and have the business no how and the scars. developers can stay away. enough of them taking more than they gave the club for 20 years but setting themselves up as rescuers. that was found out when club relegated and no cash in the piggy bank as they checked out. simples!
  9. Buster - what a ridiculous statement. The money paid by fans goes to support the club and running costs. To say that the directors are lining their pockets with this, when some of them have invested large sums of money, with little chance of recouping the investment is just an astonishing thing to say and no evidence from you to back this up. Jockdoonsooth - while I appreciate you make a substantial financial commitment to attend "home" games, to suggest that many fans are not willing to attend games because of the current board is ridiculous. What happened previously when crowds were lower or fell away before the current board, was that because folk were pissed off with the board?. Our crowds now are not hugely higher than when we first got promoted from the first division. maybe around 800 more from memory (I stand corrected if wrong). Basically we have never managed to substantially increase our crowds year on year. Look at the Falkirk/Partick Thistle game last weekend, a bottom of the table clash but almost 5000 attended. We have punched above our weight for years but if we cannot increase our crowds then we will, and deserve to be no more than a Championship team and possibly part time. We have rarely made a profit in our existence so hardly likely to do so in the next few years. Your comment about supporters money being frittered away for the board members to feather their nests is also, as I have replied to Buster, ridiculous and again would like to see some evidence. Basically the club is running at a loss, and has done so for most of its existence. The only way to avoid another £800 k loss is to cut costs and reduce staffing levels/wages. Without that happening, the decline in the club will accelerate which none of us wants to see, or perhaps some do,
  10. These players have got us to the semi final of the Scottish cup. Its not perfect every game but to decry them is this way is unfair imho. The football side is the only part of the club currently functioning that I can see.
  11. Go search my posts then and you will see threads and contributions from myself and others on this subject many times along with numerous other posters. But overall the board have taken on the positions with a duty to move the club forwards - I haven't therefore its not my responsibility to answer the outstanding questions. When there are issues with public services do you go running to the government or local authority with solutions - no you request the politicians or representatives in place to represent you do their job and improve the situation.
  12. I don’t understand fans staying away because they don’t trust the Board. Most fans don’t give a stuff about the Board - they, like me, go to watch football and support the players of ICT. It’s like saying you’re never going to buy in M&S because you don’t like their board members.
  13. Can't blame the board for everything tough job they've got can't see a load of people wanting to dip in to there savings to help us! The previous board shafted us with there poor management choice relegation really fcked us must've lost us a fortune zero tv money zero big travelling supports !

Would you travel a 1000 miles at a cost of £300 a time to know your money is being frittered away by board members intent on feathering the nests of themselves and their family members at the cost of the progression of the club at pitch level? I doubt you would be feeling too enthusiatic. The current board, well some of them need to go. We don't have the capacity for dead weight including our current chair, Graham "coco the clown" Rae. "By supporting the players you are papering over the cracks which then allows the board to continue in such a bad vein. People keep asking why we are haemorraging supporters and why the stadium is always so empty ... well there you have it! We need to cut the rot out of the club before we can begin to grow. Happy clapping our way along will only lead to part-time football or insolvency. It really is that simple.
