  1. Great to see this is happening, long overdue. https://ictfc.com/pitch-improvements-underway
  2. and where it goes right we give them credit. Its called balance and you used to look for it !
  3. Good man Robbo now show Dundee what they missed out on by winning the league
  4. The best way to deal with Dundee's disgraceful conduct is to do what we did in 2010 and beat them to the title and to promotion.
  5. This from the poster that spent years referring to the board who kept us in the Premiership as "The Muppets".

Also have to see what game Ryan Esson is going to get for his testimonial! pretty sure it will be an Aberdeen 11.
  7. Great catching up after a day in Edinburgh where friends were saying to me that JR was going to read the statement from the club. Well done to all concerned and JR
  8. And just maybe some posters will not be so quick to jump in and criticise the board in future as they were when this story broke.
  9. It sounds like Robbo, the new CEO, and the club all deserve credit where it is due. An unwanted approach, Robbo telling the club, the club then rejecting it when finally approached. just as it should be. I fall into the camp where I believe we should only reject an approach if the manager is on board with that decision. When he is not, then we have seen on several occasions before that its not worth it in the end and leads to animosity and strife. Thankfully Robbo has nailed his red and blue colours to the mast and it should put a smile on all our faces. We may not be rich, or pay the highest wages, but we do have a manager that is probably the best fit for our club since Pele and has proven he can work with meagre resources. After his past sojourn to Hearts, Robbo knows where his bread is buttered and lets face it, who would want to willingly move to Dundee in the first place !
  10. Powerful stuff, but it basically ignores the quality of our opponents. You'd have a point if we were competing against Fort William in these games, obviously not if we were playing Man City. Why should we have done better against County, Dundee United and Hearts specifically? All three have significantly higher budgets to work with - Robbo has said that County have more than double our budget, Alan Preston said the other night that United had at least treble. Hearts' will be a lot more. Why do you ignore that not only did we put two of those clubs out of cup, but also finished above at least three other clubs in our league with higher budgets than us? For me, the most impressive aspect of our overall performance this season is that it took place at a time when everyone is on such a massive downer. The whole club's being cut to the bone, players leave at the first sniff of interest and we're delighted just to get them off the wage bill, the home crowds have been reduced to a small group of moany old men and some 15 year-old wannabe casuals. I'm just delighted we stayed up under these circumstances - overachievement is putting it mildly.
  11. What do folks on here expect of ICT We have come third in the league with probably the sixth top budget in the league We have reached the semi finals of the Scottish Cup We reached the semi finals of the playoffs and decisions from the officials have cost us. I think we have massively overachieved and the management and players deserve a lot of thanks for this. Also the away fans deserve a lot of credit. The neagative posters on here need to have a reality check and if they are not happy with what we have achieved this season, have a look at where Falkirk who are a bigger club and have a far bigger fan base than ourselves are this evening . We certainly have a lot of moaners in our support. Have a good summer folks hopefully the sun will lighten some perspectives on here?
  12. We've overperformed this season. Robbo has squeezed every sinew out of a small and limited squad. Think Joe Chalmers playing on the right when Walsh got injured, Charlie Trafford changing his game and stepping up in the absence of Sean Welsh, and Jordan White's development into an effective battering ram once Oakley's departure made it clear that he was our only option up front. Most of us had written these players off, but they were all Robbo had to work with and he turned them into promotion contenders and cup semi-finalists. Some effort. On the flipside, it looks like we'll continue to suffer from unrealistic expectations. If United go up then then next season's league might look weak at first glance, but at least 3 clubs will have a significantly higher budget than us. We'll lose players now - Polworth gone and rumours around Donaldson, Chalmers, White and Doran. Robbo's building for another push, but most likely it will be another scrappy play-off push at best. A bit of patience from our support might help with that.
  13. Fair play to you lot tonight. All though I think we were comfortably better over two legs you give it a good go like you did all 7 times we played this season. Would laugh at Robbo’s interview but he hit the nail on the head with a lot of what he said. Good luck next season, but hopefully we won’t be playing you so often.
  14. I agree with a lot of the sentiments on here. We gave it our all, but diabolical refereeing decisions coupled with poor finishing will not win us games. On the whole, in my opinion, it's been a good season, it could have been a better one, but if you had told me at the beginning of the season that we would make the semi finals of the playoffs and the Scottish Cup, I would have scoffed at you. To finish third, behind the leagues two best funded teams, says a lot for Robbo's recruitment and drive, and if we can keep the majority of the squad together for next season and add a few quality new faces, I think we can do some damage next term. It looks like Robbo will be missing for the start of next season after his comments about the standard of refereeing in this country, but I wholeheartedly agree with him. No collective of officials should be immune to criticism, they have been over protected for far too long. If players or managers step out of line they get hammered by the Association, where as referees can make blunder after blunder and they just get another game to officiate at. Kevin Clancy being a good example, he doesn't send off the sevco player for elbowing Scott Brown during the sevco v Celtic game, but gives a penalty and booking against Brad Mckay in our match, absolutely atrocious. So, that's the season done and dusted, my new season ticket bought, and I'm looking forward to next term already, a glutton for punishment or diehard supporter?
  15. Well done everyone............you tried your best. Man of the match was the very impressive Utd keeper. With the rub of the green it could have been different but after that game I doubt we could have mustered an 11 for the next game. Have a rest boys.......you deserve it. Robbo........well you are in trouble but I think you spoke well. Great support for both sides ( over 8500) and a special mention to those who go to extraordinary lengths and travel huge distances to support their team.....you know who you are.
  16. 1 point
Far simpler to have 2nd bottom of SPL play 2nd top of championship over two legs.
