It might not have the same effect without the fans but a minutes silence or applause at the next home game is surely the least that could be done to remember Ian.

I'm really shocked and saddened at this tragic news. On behalf of colleagues on the Supporters Trust Board, I can say it was both a pleasure and a privilege to work with Ian in helping to get his wonderful book to print. Ian had put so much time and effort into the book and I know he was hugely grateful to everyone who kindly contributed to the fundraising campaign. He was also very touched by the numerous messages he had received from folk congratulating him on the finished product. "Milestones and Memories" is a worthy memorial to a man who has made such an important contribution to the Club throughout its history. Our heartfelt condolences go to Ian's family.

Are these pair pals and having a laugh? Surely this can't be a genuine exchange (although the Tweet itself is)? WTF.
  4. ***GAME OFF*** Game put on ice! After a pitch inspection which was planned for 08:30 @Gayfield on Saturday morning the game has been called off due to a frozen pitch. They might have got away with it until the match official spotted Torvill & Dean practicing the Bolero near the penalty box. Before you get too drunk, we have a game on the 2nd January Have a safe New Year to one and all.

Brad McKay always tries and quite often succeeds. The abuse he gets from our own 'fans' is a disgrace.

I would think they know each other going by this exchange.

Seems a reasonable reply to me.

I am shocked, saddened and really devastated to hear this news. I have known Ian since the very early days of ICT and a nicer, more dedicated, honest and humble gentleman you were not likely to meet. His stats, reviews and records for ICT have always been the gold standard for fans and directly led to both of his books. He (and Peter) also did wonders as volunteers in the club shop for many years and if you read the release when he was made a life member, you will see what else he did. When people talk about someone having ICT in their blood and being a stalwart of the club they are usually referring to the likes of Charlie Christie or others who have been with us from the start and who played for us for a long time ... Ian Broadfoot is in this same category behind the scenes. Ian would probably be too humble to think himself deserving of any fanfare but the club should definitely honour his memory in some way. Armbands and a minutes silence at the next game, for sure, at a minimum, but like his stats, which will live on, maybe something else more permanent too. Rest in peace Ian. The world has a large hole in it right now and you will truly be missed by friends and family alike. 😢

Truly awful news. Our sincere condolences go to all his family and friends. It makes the purchase of his book (signed by the man himself) even more poignant now. I've not read the book yet but when I do I'll raise a glass in his memory and have a tear in my eye.

The stuff in the Sun is just the usual lazy journalism, trotting out a few names and hoping one sticks. no foundation, no facts, not even rumours. Just padding to a non-story. In the case of EM, the original post is a backhanded compliment to one of his Jambo heroes, acknowledging what Robbo has achieved despite all the challenges in his way, and SG is basically telling him to STFU and leave things alone in case anyone notices!! I still say Robbo would not be interested unless things are really bad behind the scenes. He got burned too many times when tempted before.

I'm sure Brad is a nice bloke. He's also pretty rubbish at football imo but that's kinda our level now so it is what it is.

    A damn fine agent.
  16. Sound thinking, he won’t even know it’s Bell’s.
  17. I endorse Robert's thanks to tmftj.Close to a must win game as far as our promotion prospects are concerned. A very happy and healthy new year to one and all when it comes. I am off to uncork the Bruichladdich now. Slaite 🥃
  18. Thanks for all your articles tm4tj: always enjoyable even if we have not played well! Any word on the streaming of the game?

Deserving of his own thread. What terrible news to start the New Year. Condolences to his family and friends.

Not often Ewan Murray comes out looking better in a Twitter exchange but there's a first time for everything I guess.

I can’t see Robbo being interested, as he lives locally and only got back into management because we approached him. You never know, though. Perhaps the lure of managing Jordan White again will make it irresistible for him!!

Absolutely no probs with Brad McKay ,decent enough centre half and can count himself very unlucky not to be playing there instead of Devine. My issue is that we rely on him at full back when clearly that is not his preferred role. Manager doing him no favours at all playing him constantly out of position.

He might be away with Alan Simpson

Was it not buy 1 get 1 free when they signed Polworth?
