  3. I hope that next season the league put contingency measures in place to avoid such a gap again or mitigations on teams for us to play. Will be pretty difficult build up after securing the League until the Conference League final having sat around for 4 weeks.

  4. Was just having a look at the bookies odds for the final. 20/1 for the ICT win, no real surprise with that. ICT to win 1-0 is 70/1, whereas Celtic to win 7-0 is only 45/1. And if you fancy us to repeat our famous 3-1 win it’s 200/1, the same odds as Celtic winning 11-0. Fair to say that the odds are against us!

  7. I understand you so well, you are out of touch with the electorate, just like I'm out of touch with the ICT fan base.

  10. I really cringe when the chief representatives of any sports clubs get caught on a photo greeting or glad handing politicians of any party. - They are invariably decried by persons not affiliated to that particular party. Irrespective of what you think of SG, he has to welcome any guest and to make them comfortable and hope they enjoy their visit to the club. We have to separate the club (all parts of it), from politics and religion. We have all seen how it turns out when this rule is compromised! The club has to retain a neutral position on politics and religion. End of story!!

  11. I supported Inverness Thistle since around 1962 till their demise. I never wanted the merger, and have yet to meet a supporter who did. I was a season ticket holder and went to all home and away games right up to the end. I could never understand why Thistle and Caley had to merge and all the other Highland League clubs managed to get into the league on their own. It has been hard for ex-Thistle fans with the merger, hearing all the shouts of Caley, the stadium called Caledonian stadium, the media calling them Caley and playing in predominantly blue. But it is what it is. I have been a season ticket holder since around 2010, it took me a long time to have any feeling for the new club, and I would go to the odd game when I could, work permitting, as I worked most Saturdays and worked back and night shift, but since I retired I haven't missed a home match for several seasons. There have been many highs over the years, and a few lows, and I think I have lived through the golden period of ICT, winning the Scottish Cup being the pinnacle. I don't have the same passion for ICT that I did have for Inverness Thistle, but that's history now, and the new generation have no excuse for not following their home Scottish League team ICT, instead of following the Glasgow clubs or Aberdeen, something my generation never had.

  12. Yup, I recall Charlie Christie talking about how Pele had lumped on it at about those odds. Unusual for a man who didn't normally gamble
