  1. I'm in agreement with BDU. We should be going into this fully expecting the win, and a strong win at that. Any talk of caution, especially from within the club, will only serve to put doubt in the minds of the players, and we've had enough of that from the previous manager. Take the reins off, trust the players, and let them give Cowdenbeath a battering.

  3. I’m getting £47.30 on LCC Live, the promoters of local events: https://lcclive.ticketline.co.uk/order/tickets/13369960/skipinnish-the-25th-anniversary-concert-inverness-bught-park-2024-07-06-16-00-00

  4. The lead singer in Tide Lines, Robert Robertson, was the singer in Skipinnish until he and another band member set up Tide Lines in 2018. Skipinnish are now fronted by the singer who used to be in Manran. Robertson was co-writer of Walking on the Waves, the track that probably put Skipinnish on the map, and it is now in the repertoire of both bands. Tide Lines are in their third album and I’d recommend seeing them live if you get a chance if you like good going music with a Scottish twist and a bit of banter. They’ve some exotic locations in the pipeline: https://www.tidelinesband.com/pages/shows

  5. We were comfortable against Bonnyrigg with probably a weaker team than now, although they made us sweat a bit at the end. But Bonnyrigg would easily take about 5 off Cowden. A team that’s 9th in the LL and in their other major Cup, the South Challenge Cup, recently beat a tier 7 side 4-2. Just start at a tempo and get it done early.

  6. Cannae disagree with any of that bdu, just me and my accumulated pessimism after nearly 7 decades of hopeful and expected sporting success being mostly trashed - apart that is from the glory years of the Caley Jags rising up through the leagues, I’m probably in need of a voddie or three!

  7. It's not complacency, it's showing realistic expectations from our full time team on a home game against part timers in non-leauge football. Too many fans perhaps have now become resigned to the idea that we aren't good fuelled by the downward trend including the Doddsball years. Throughout our club history at almost any other period a cup draw of this nature fans would 'expect' while still being aware there's a job to be done on the day and look at this as a direct route to the next round.

  8. It's funny (for me at least) - My little guy is glued to FIFA23 and FC24 and keeps on at me about all these current players being rated high ... Every time he asks me who he should add to his team, or tries to ask me "Do you know who is the best <insert position> in the game?" I always answer 'Ross Tokely' (or occasionally Charlie Christie to throw him off). Awesome that Ross is still playing now and still amazing that he played for us in all divisions and I think in almost all positions at some time in his career. Oh, and I remind my son that ICT was indeed in FIFA once upon a time ... FIFA07 or 08 on the PS2!
