  1. Who we can and can't keep will depend firstly on being out of admin and secondly on which division we are in. As stated, MacKinnon is the only player under contract. Bavidge, Brannan, Bray, Ewan, Nolan and Stewart will finish their loans; I'm not sure any of them will be rushing back for another season in League One (let alone League Two) Assuming Kellacher continues as manager, it seems possible - likely? - that Billy Mckay could continue as his assistant, which would seem like a good moment to hang up his boots. He'll be 37 in October. I expect other clubs to be sniffing around Dibaga, Allan and Gilmour; holding on to some or all of them would be a pleasant surprise.

  2. It's going to be a very different squad again next year, regardless of who we keep and who we add to it, in whatever division. I suppose I'll just be happy the club will be there.

  3. Just hope the accidental slip and pulled hamstring Musa had on Saturday doesn’t end up his last appearance for us. The guy has been immense for us and probably the one player than has had the most impact in where we are in the league. My player of the season by a Gambian mile. Alfie B draws attention for putting the ball in the net, but unfortunately injury again cut short his stint, (and boy, haven’t we missed him)! bc

  4. Yes. There’s a reference on the second page of the letter which I didn’t have time screenshot earlier, although the caveat refers only to the CVA.

  5. Might be sensible and prudent for Billy to remain as a player on the books for next season, despite his stepping up to support Kells with more involvement in the coaching and management side of things.

  6. This, to shareholders, arrived by email at 1300 today. If you have lost your share certificate in the intervening 29 years this, apparently, won’t be a problem.

  7. My concerns about a new stadium would be the size. If it makes good financial sense to move to the UHI site, then we need a stadium which will accommodate the likely crowds should we find ourselves in the top flight at some stage. There is no reason why we shouldn't, and If league reconstruction increases the number in the top flight, it would be an even more likely scenario. Even in the 2nd tier, we can expect bigger crowds for cup games from time to time. I hope that when AS talks about a smaller ground, he is referring to the footprint of the stadium. A stadium with the same capacity, but with a steeper rake and without all the wasted space between the pitch and the front row of seats would both take up a smaller footprint and provide for a better view and a much better atmosphere. Having a much more fan friendly and atmospheric stadium could be a significant factor in attracting more people to come to games and then to persuade them to come more regularly. The Supporters Trust's Matchday Survey highlighted several factors about our current ground which were felt to be poor. Fans responding to the survey came up with a wide range of ideas to make the matchday experience better. So, whether we stay or move, I would urge the future management team to have a good look at the survey and build in some of the ideas to future plans. Alan, Charlie, in case you haven't seen the survey, you can find the fans' views here.

  8. Totally agree with this especially the last paragraph. When we went into admin would we have taken been where we are today with destiny still in our own hands? Of course we would. For the record that game had 0-0 written all over it if Musa had stayed on. Poor Symion is just not ready and I blame DF for allowing us to start this season (before admin) with one suitable keeper. Another issue I need to mention is the negativity and pure self entitlement at end of home games. Players came over at full time yesterday to clap crowd. Dammed if they do and dammed if they don't! Several grown men shouting abuse at players some of whom are still teenagers. I get the frustration but what is this meant to achieve? Can we calming down and get behind the team to get them over the line. Thank goodness we are away next week. Home games seem toxic of late.

  9. We've only ever sold out the current stadium once, and even in 2014/15 season our average was below 5000, so I'm not sure that maintaining the current capacity should be a priority. Feels a bit like buying a 6-bedroom house for your family of 3 because your Aunt and her family come to stay once every couple of years.
