  1. Accies Storm Warning With storm Amy closing in and wide spread disruption across the land predicted, It makes one wonder the merits of trying to play football under the current weather forecast. Not only that, what about the safety of the travelling supporters who want to cheer on their side? It's high time the authorities looked ahead and made these decisions and not leave it for the clubs to decide. Should the game go ahead, it's scheduled for a 3:00pm kick-off at Broadwood Stadium. Despite their well documented financial issues, Accies have made a strong start to League1 after their relegation last season. Many expected them to fall apart but they have dug in and made a positive start winning four games with just the two defeats. Inverness though have made a stunning start and despite a five point handicap, they top the table winning seven of their eight games and are on a five game winning streak. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Match/Ticket/Supporters Bus/Info ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This was the Caley Jags squad that took them to the top of the table with a 4-1 win over East Fife. 2. That's two defeats against the teams now sitting above us. One team sat in and picked our pockets, the other got the better of us, capitalising on our errors and taking their chances. Hard lessons to be learned. We really need to stay sharp for every game.
  3. There can be room for both, I bought one of their shirts a while back to show support. Shirt quality is pretty poor though to be honest. It’s stupidity if they are wanting our Thistle removed though. They don’t even play in Inverness so I hope they’ll be thinking about removing the Inverness from their name.
  4. Nah, they can bugger off! Let them muck about in the ' Caledonian league' 😄 whilst playing in Ross-Shire! Wonder they didn't complain and ask for a change of league name!
  5. That was a tough watch today. We were really poor in that first half. it honestly felt like Hamilton had an extra couple of players at times. Credit to them, they pressed us brilliantly and we just couldn’t get a proper foot on the ball. Our passing was off and we never really created anything of note. You could maybe point the finger at Danny Devine for the first goal. I’d need to see the pass to him again, but he lost it and O’Hara went straight through. Second half was a bit better, but we still struggled to find space and Hamilton kept closing us down quickly. Liam Sole was frustrating to watch today. His tricks usually come off, but this time they didn’t and it led to a couple Hamilton breaks where we were almost caught out. He was subbed early, probably rightly so. All in all, just a bad day at the office. Hopefully we pick it back up next week.
  6. I won’t be hard on the boys as they have been brilliant so far this season. We gifted them their first two goals, and outwith our mistakes they rarely threatened. Devines distribution from the back was awful, and the wind defo influenced that. Spoony had one of these days when things just didn’t go his way. But our attacking intent was only on show in short spells. Kell was giving Bav a very hard time for not running the channels, which was harsh IMO as balls to him were lacking in quality, and fighting for the ball isn’t his forte, whereas his finish showed where his strength is.
  7. What’s disappointing and slightly concerning is not that we have dropped to 3rd, but that we have lost both ‘6 pointers’ against the top 2.
  8. Ah well, can't win them all. In the first quarter of the season, we won at least 4 more points than anyone else. Repeat that for the next three quarters, and we'll be in clover. Of course it won't happen like that, but we are still in an excellent position.
  9. A disappointing result and, it sounds, performance. However, before the league season started we’d all have been delighted to get 21 (-5 = 16) points out of our first 27 this season and be right in contention. I’m sure we will have learned a lot from the two defeats which will hopefully stand us in good stead as the season progresses. What’s telling for me is that we’ve now played 17 games in the league, League Cup and Challenge Cup and have not drawn any of them. We want to win and I’m convinced we’ve won games we’d have drawn in the past. If we keep going as we are, I’m sure we can make this a successful season despite the inevitable blip or two along the way.
  10. You're never as vulnerable as when you've just scored. And it applies to football, too
  11. Feckin hate Hamilton, Always have, hate Imrie too.
