  1. A 1 in 39 chance but I’d love to see us drawn to play Clach.
  2. That's our own Sam Nixon holding the North of Scotland Cup after Forres Mechanics beat Clach 3-2 (aet) in the final played at Station Park Nairn on Saturday. Forres were two behind after 41 minutes with goals from Troy Cooper and James Anderson. Kyle Macleod pulled one back in stoppage time at the break. A second half strike by Ryan McRitchie took the game to extra-time. Calum Frame was the match winner with a penalty in the 108th minute.
  3. Good advice so far. If you are going to pubs down here I would recommend the relatively new pub in Inverness. Good pint, good atmosphere and not too far from the ground. It’s called bar 94.
  4. Our home game against Queen of the South on 22 November is now a 1730 kick off and on BBC Alba.
  5. By "they" you are meaning one guy yeah? One man (who doesn't even sit on the committee) doesn't represent the whole Club! I was annoyed that AVFTT made it seem that he was involved with the club, but then maybe he never sepcified either. The new Inverness Thistle FC committee are largely made up of people who weren't involved in the original club and some former supporters. The Club have frequently stated that they're not a continuation of the original club but instead are a new club who wish to respect the identity of the old. They are also on record wishing ICT the best. Again, one embittered fan doesn't represent a whole club!! And you know what, I've actually been rather impressed at how professional they have been working behind the scenes. It really puts the likes of Morrison and Gardiner to further shame. ITFC have a clear strategy in place for the playing team going forward but also a mission plan for how they wish to serve the community in a positive way. Surely the fact their existence allows for more young boys to aspire to a higher level of local football is a good thing? They are also hoping to create a football training programme for kids with ASN. So, Fair play to them. I wish them every success! Also, I've been over to watch a couple games and was amazed at the level of support - there was a crowd of over 200 both times! Instead of castigating them, maybe ICT fans should actually be asking, what have we done wrong the past 31 years that 200 folk would rather follow this new team? What have we done to serve the community? Food for thought
  6. Scott has had an excellent start but I think it’s far too early to place him in a hierarchy of managers alongside people who did the job for years. More evidence is required. Keeping SK out of the reckoning for the moment purely for that reason, my own short list would be John Robertson, Terry Butcher, Yogi and Pele and indeed I don’t think even that Charlie Christie had long enough in the job for full consideration. My own choice would be Terry Butcher, even though he wasn’t in charge for either of the club’s two most important successes - the First Division title in 2004 or the Scottish Cup in 2015.
