  1. Whether Foran played on or not is irrelevant. It was a dreadful tackle and it was just pure luck that Foran was relatively unhurt.

  2. Have given up on catering at the stadium, used it a lot in the past, but this season has been useless. Lost count the number of time there has been no pies in main stand. Same excuse every time" we did not expect such a large crowd". This is at half time when I can only assume that the crowd figures must be known by then. This also resulted in my only brush with the law. I got angry at the completely useless waste of space who was identified as being in charge. On asking him why there were no pies he came out with the usual "Sorry none left did not expect such a large crowd" I then asked what did he think should be done to allow me to get a pie in the future if crowd figures rocketed to over 3500, meaning what plans would the catering company put in place. He replied that I should maybe get my pie before kickoff....after a pause I asked did he think it was reasonable for me to get a halftime pie before the game started...reply " dunno but can u step aside there are other people waiting to be served",, by this time I was cheesed off, it was freezing, I'd had nothing to eat all day (and I'd given up my hat and scarf to my 2 boys who had assured me on leaving the house that they would be warm enough, but wern't)...."SERVED what are you going to serve them, there is nothing left I asked and it looks to me that you are no stranger to a pie or two, is thats whats being happening you are eating all the pies, this is why they are so expensive for every one you sell you are eating one". The portly teenager was not standing for this and called for assistance from two Police Constables standing nearby, who must have overheard everything. At this point my kids left the area not even lookin back no help there. Two bobbies approached me, guys in there 30s or 40s I think this is what saved me from been lifted as they were sensible. First one says to me says to me are "are you going to just go back to your seat " yes" I said "was looking forward to my pie thats all" " I Know Sir" he replied "off you go" " did you get a pie?" I asked, bit of laughter around us by this stage. " No Sir I didn't there none left when I got down either!" I'm not some teenage attention seaker, but nearly 50 years old, stressed, high blood pressure and overweight. Saturdays are the only time I get away from my wife and can do the things I enjoy but am not allowed to do. Shout, eat pies, get over excited.... is it too much to ask to supply a overheated overpriced meat based snack to me. I've been to hospiality a few times, always a surplus of pies there!!

  3. Apologies if this has been mentioned on one of the other threads which I haven't been through, but there IS full live Radio Scotland commentary tonight from Paul Mitchell and Craig Paterson on 92-95FM in the Highlands and Islands (that's 94.0FM in the immediate Inverness area) as well, of course, as online. This means that there's no Open All Mics available in the H and I but outwith that area, Open All Mics is available (Allan Preston at Easter Road) on 92-95. Also looking ahead to the St Johnstone game (2pm KO), there will be full live commentary with Scott Davie and CHRIS HOGG on Highlands and Islands 92-95FM and online as well as Open All Mics for the second half only (ie after 3pm) from me on 92-95 in the rest of the Radio Scotland transmission area.

  4. It's a shocker, and the refs failure to do anything about it is fairly typical of the luck we've had with big decisions. Not only have we had no penalties this season, we've never had a numerical advantage over any of our opponents. The only player to get sent off against us was against Rangers (Edu?) late on when we were already down to 10 men. My proposed solution for this particular injustice is that next time we play Hibs they have to remove a player from the field after 32 minutes. I was then wondering who decides which player gets taken off and came up with the idea that the fans in the stadium vote by text, £1 a go, and the money raised is used to fly in decent refs from Luxembourg etc.

  5. The catering services for the north stand are totally pathetic, one little stall staffed by clowns and a burger van serving overpriced crap and coffee/tea flavoured water, where the average wait is 25-30 minutes is a complete disgrace. This club want to get sorted out and attempt to be an SPL club for a change. I've given up even trying to get hot food at half time.

  6. Very happy with the point. I thought we dominated the first half and it was even in the second half. Hibs had one chance and scored, we had maybe 2 or 3 chances. For all our possession, we stuggled in front of goal. Sometimes they looked scared to shoot. Of course, the wind didn't help matters. All in all, I think we played well and probably deserved the 3 points but if you said we'd take a point before the game I would have taken that. For the folk that watched it on TV - what did you think of Hayes goal? It reminded me of Bagans goal at Tynie 10 years ago in the cup. I did have a few ciders down me at that point so it may have looked better to me than it actually was, but I would say it was one of the best goals scored in an ICT shirt. The big positive to take from the game is that is now the first time this season we have gone on a 2 game unbeaten run! May not sound spectacular but considering our early season form, it must be fantastic for the confidence of the team. Special mention to Foran, who has played excellent in the last 3 games. Shame he will miss the St J game now! If we can beat St J, our season will start to look very good indeed.

  7. I personally would like to see County in the SPL the money from these games would be very welcome when times are so hard Pretty sure Sky would show one or two of these games live as well which would be a great advert for the highlands There are negatives though losing match hospitality would be definite as they just seem to do it better in Dingwall somehow, sponsorship and investment would also drop with a second SPL team playing from the same area What could be embarrassing though would be the increased gates at Victoria park as they would dramatically increase and would more than likely average out more than our poor attendances sadly The other worrying thought is that of Grant Munro coming back to haunt ICT think most of us know it's going to happen one day and the way things are shaping out it's starting to look like it's going to be next season dougal

  8. You will never see a better goal than Hayes got....definite contender for Goal of the Month. Still image does not do it justice.

    • Kelty Hearts Training Statement
What a farce we have become, a laughing stock: Did you hear the one about the footbal team from the Highlands of Scotland that want to train at Cowdenbeath? Unfortunately, unlike our board, this is not a joke. Our board are trying to rip our identity from the Highlands and replace it with shared training at Kelty Hearts. I kid you not, this is not a drill and the clowns that run our club appear to be delighted at this coup.

    • Relegation Statement
RELEGATION STATEMENT: This could have been said ten minutes after our defeat to Hamilton three days ago. So far, this is not the news that we on Caley Thistle Online wanted to hear. Pleased that we will still function as a club, disappointed that resignations have not been offered yet. Keeping fans waiting in silence for three days is unforgivable and relationships are drifting further apart than ever before. Silence is not the way forward, we deserve better as fans.

    • Inverness CT 2-3 (3-5) Hamilton - Play off final (relegation)
RELEGATED: Despite Inverness needing to get off the mark quickly, it was Accies that killed the tie inside the first fifteen minutes with strikes from Kevin O'Hara and Lewis Smith. Cammy Kerr reduced the leeway with a good strike from distance, but O'Hara struck again with a penalty before the break to diffuse the revival. We struggled to create anything of note and this reporter could not stomach any more and left the stadium. I'm told Alex Samuel pulled a goal back in stoppage time, but like the rest of the season it was too little too late.

    • Hamilton 2-1 Inverness CT - Play off final 1st Leg
A better showing from Inverness in the second half, especially with Lawal and Pepple on the park but it's Hamilton that take a one goal advantage up the A9 on Saturday. Lawal has been the standout performer in our last few games and surely he must start on Saturday. Pepple also did well, scored the goal, had an effort saved and got in a few balls across the box from tight positions.

Still, a shocker of a first half and we must be up for it from the start on Saturday.

    • Inverness CT (1-2) Hamilton - Play off Final 2nd Leg - Preview
The hurt, the pain, the reluctance and pig-headedness to listen to the fans asking what is going on, the lack of communication, the lack of ambition, the stench of mismanagement, the concert company, the battery farm, the demise since winning the Scottish Cup in 2015, the lack of passion, the lack of commitment, the dwindling fanbase, the lack of leadership. It has left the fans comfortably numb
