  1. My only problem would be who would be available Should only buy where they are better than wat we have Hopefully with Eric O now back and gaining match fitness every week we will have sufficient cover up front Foran is brill but keeps picking up bookings so think we may lose him at some point so will need some creative cover in midfield
  2. C'mon Caley, sensible second half will see us second. Got to keep positive Would like others to see some signings in window

    Butcher must Go!

The team let him down badly! Tokely in press this morning saying he wanted heat turned up but he played at a wimper. Posted missing for cross for second. We seem to be losing more goals from balls coming in from his side of the park. I would have thought he would have learned how to handle his inadequacy to attack and then get back - he strolls. Imrie got short shrift from defence trying to stop cross coing in but failed, but at least he got back. Was however really disappointed in fans behind goal. Apart from toliet rolls being thrown, 1 plastic water bottle and a ketchup (again plastic) bottle were thrown onto park. The fans around should have pointed out culprits - don't need this sort of behaviour. Having moved up here from Glasgow 10 years ago and followed Caley all this time do not want to see this stupidity ceeping into game up here

    Rooney

said it yourself, many one on ones with no goal unless Proctors goal in midweek from one of these chances HAve also watched warm up and "shooty in" the outcome of which has not been very encouraging. I can only hope he will come good, he was highest goalscorer last season with only a few start, scored 6 4 of which coming off bench We are still struggling to create chances so unfortunately have to be even more clinical when they do appear
  5. pretty poor again today imo Foran played well again but surprisingly this was a game where he seldomly won a ball in the air Imrie put in a shift so hopefully as he gets match fit things will improve Still think midfield is lightweight Esson again played well too Not sure of best midfield combo and think Terry also struggling Defence is shalky, maybe a lack of confidence, but would think that with those in management that would be one of our stonger areas which it has in the past
  6. Another fantastic away result. Now all we need to do is register a couple of home wins on the trot to get a bit of confidence building up. Will always lose games but need to get back to being a fortress at home. Think our team play however is best suited to playing away and not having abiity to attack at home and break teams down, hence good form at home in Premier League as others thought we would be push over - Strachan hated coming here as he new his team would be left with the ball to attack and we had the players to catch out his dodgy defence
  7. Yet another poor home performance. All our best games seem to be away when others attack and we play on break, so looks like unable to take games to teams at home! Esson played well and kept us in it when team lost it well and truly for 15 minutes at end of first half. Yet again not 1 single shot on target first half for a team at home. Still reluctant to take a shot and when they do throw off the shackles they just have wild swipes is how best described! Late on in second half only came to life when got penalty, second goal was good but still no urgnency. Our build up play is slow allowing teams time to get players behind the ball. Defence was poor Ross had a great game, when he got the ball/ was left out on wing firat half with no decent passes to him to do anyting. Barrowman does not anticipate the knock ons from Foran, well no one does! Foram continually manages to get his head onto clearances from Esson but its as if no one exepcts him to do it. The team need to get sharper in front of goals, cannot rely on imrie when he returns, and start taking more shots on goal and not passing the buck. Shinnie looked a good prospect, what happened to Golly? Duncan had yet again another poor game, his only decent passes were his usual trademark of going backwards and completely made a mess to let Partick go two up! Surely things can only get better, we have to put on a good hom performance at some point so bring on County ut the league is the BIG one but that is slowly disappearing and unless we start getting points on the board it will disappear for good. Still a long way to go and a good run of wins will get us back up there but it needs to start happening soon!!
  8. Very poor game all round! No oustanding performance today, Cox was OK and Foran was best in my opinion. Others were not even meriting passmarks Even for first game of season we should be out there taking teams like Montrose apart and setting the standard! Never mind, its a cup tie and we are thro', roll on Tuesday's friendly then next Saturdays cup tie. Crowd was poor, not sure if due to folks still away or if sign of times to come
  9. Sorry but my own view is Board should be more convincing in their expectations for the season. Sign them on at least 2 year contracts, if we go up then take stock, otherwise if we fail (hopefully not) then if they have shown promise then we should get a fee for them Also concerned for TB et al as their contract also runs out at end of this season, Board only wanted to give them a 6 month contract but TB would only come for min 18 mth. Again, if in running will Board put money where mouth is and extend player contracts including TB's At some point the Board have to take ownership, as even wth 1 year contracts, if we go up, thes eplayers could walk, leaving us to rebuild again on promotion. Hope not, but if we do not go up, then their is always next season to aim for, we should never give up as I think we added something to the premier league, and not just "sole destroying journeys up A9" as Chick Young kept ranting about!!!!
  10. Hope to go too to see team on next stage of readiness for season. Roll on league and hopefully a good run in the cups I read Tokely and Foran banned for first game, anyone know if this is the league game, assume it is

    Pavels

Pavels home club apparently looking for too much dosh to allow Caley to sign him so bags packed
  12. Going to be tough, but if board stand up and are counted and supporters get behind team, we are well capable of winning the league and bouncing back This would give Butcher and Malpas a year to build a team well worth staying in Premier and pushing us on
  13. Dundee allegedly made contact for Foran. Really disappointing if DUndee get him, we should be fighting to retain the likes of Foran and especially Morias
  14. Next season isa going to be anything but easy! Why did we have such a full crowd today, were have they all been all season? Another 500 season tickets this season could have helped the cuase, if the Board would have spent it!
  15. Only just home, but mate watched game on telly and was convinced it was a sending off but still to see it myself Failing at Caley is lack of conviction in front of goals that has caused it Also the lack of ambition of the Board. Temporary stands, only giving 6 month contracts to players, lack of ambition to me!!!

    Imrie

Imrie had one of his poorest games all season. Completely anonymous but was not alone as McBain again as like last week was also a passenger
  17. Not the fault of those in the ticket office but any shambles will be from above as usual. One of these days we will be a slick well organised organisation that plans well and doesn't need to react to anything as we will get oit right first time - well maybe someday Was quite surprised at the prices but if it sells out then Board has got something right as we really do need a big crowd. Just shows that if the Board had any conviction as to our status we could fill more seats every week on a regular basis and get more money in Spend to save or in this case invest in the club, make it more competetive and fighting for top 6 place and the fans will come in in bigger numbers Come on Caley, go for a win on Saturday
  18. Butcher cannot be blamed for this season. He has resurrected our hopes, but has been restricted in his options coming in half way thro' and having to raise the teams spirits. The Board must take some of the balme as I still think they are small thinking, with little or no ambition and not wanting to invest or take any chances otherwise we would be safe by now. Our attempts at getting crowds into games is poor, why do they never have "stalls" at retail park in week leading up to home games, trying to sell tickets. Why do they not give out to schools lots more tickets for games where they will never sell out, using wings of main stand or indeed the small stand across from the main stand. Why are the two ends still temporary stands. Come on Caley get the win on Saturday, then we see if the Board have the guts to invest in Butcher, the team and the ground and make attempts to take us to the next level
  19. Good luck to you all. Should be a great welcome on Saturday at stadium and a great start to a very crucial game. Again best wishes
  20. Yes on telly but I will be there supporting them in person. Come on Caley one last push should see us cross the line ok
  21. Been an excellent servant of the club and puts his all into every game and not scared of putting his body in where it hurts. If only everyone else did this I think we would be better placed. Very skillful too and an exquisite passer of the ball, great vision. Watch his warm up routine before the game when he passes long balls to Imrie, he hits the target almost on every occasion - brilliant! All the best and I can only hope that when we stay up, he will have a change of heart and stay (has anyone ever done that and can they?) Otherwise, Ian all the best for the future and I wish you well. Terry, hope you have been scouting for a replacement.
  22. Unfortunately cannot follow team thro to Aberdeen today Hope they do well, really like a win but would accept a draw and hopefully other games go our way too! Come on Caley do us proud
  23. Yip certainly looks that way. We have always preformed ok post split, but normally pressure is off us, this year is certainly different but hopefully we have sufficient experience to see us thro' A win pre split v Accies will certainly go a long way to helpour survival
  24. Excellent to see him in team, unfortunately I missed yesterdays game, family illness, but hope to see him retain his position
