  2. He doesn't look to see where the ball is and leads with his arm . DC what are you on about ? this is your gawd knows how manyeth post justifying the sending off, and you are still wrong. Of course you are going to look and see where your opponent is before you jump to challenge him for a header - there's no point in challenging otherwise. You can even check again if you have time. If you can see where the ball has been passed from (or in this case lumped up the park from) as a professional you should be able to judge the flight of it, and where you/ opponent and ball intersect. Tansey did. As for your "interpretation" of the laws of the game, they are just that - laws. There is no interpretation. Law 12 (fouls & misconduct) lays them out perfectly well. The referee can only send Tansey off for either "serious foul play" or "violent conduct" There is no such offence as "leading with the arm" I can see no evidence of either of these offences in the highlights. He could only caution Tansey for "unsporting behaviour" which again there is no evidence of. He could have awarded a direct free kick for any number of described offences, including "jumps at an opponent" in a manner that the referee considers "careless, reckless or using excessive force" That is the offence that you have described, and that is the proper outcome according to the Laws of the Game. As my dad would say "gie's peace", but I won't hold my breath for you having the good grace to change your mind. When have I said there was an offence of leading with the arm ? Violent conduct pure and simple . b#####s!!! no way that was violent conduct were you at the game? did you see the highlights?
  3. I'm amazed to see anyone agree with the sending off. We not only have 99.9% of ICT fans criticising the decision but also we have players going on twitter and risking fines criticising the decision, our manager going on record criticising the decision, pundits and journalists criticising the decision, and even celtic fans who ive spoken to say the decision was wrong. This is clearly a case where the referee has made an incorrect decision and he must be aware of that viewing the incident again To say that lifting your arms when jumping for a header is violent conduct is absolutely ludicrous

If he can stay injury free and get a run in the team then there is no reason why he cant do well for Partick

Delighted to see that Terry is looking into extending his loan deal He has really come onto a game in the last few games and if he can remain injury free and playing consistently then he will be a very influential player for us The articles in the news all seem to suggest that Davis likes it up here so i hope that a loan deal extension can be agreed keep up the good work

  12. I see he has joined Dundee on trial, he never recovered his form after leaving us, call it the caley curse or just bad luck At 33 he's almost in last chance saloon, hopefully he can find a club and stay injury free, shame to see such a talent falling by the wayside

  14. Completely agree with those saying Ross and Foran have been very ineffectual of late and are needing rested/dropped/kick up the rear end! ----ESSON---- MEEKINGS----TOKELY----PROCTOR (UNLESS HOGG IS AVALAILABLE)----GILLET COX----DAVIS CHIPPENDALE------------------------------TANSEY----------------------HAYES/SUTHERLAND TADE
  15. that for me was the biggest problem on saturday, i was amazed at the formation we played on Satruday, we basically played without a right midfielder which is suicide. Our midfield was almost like this: LM----------CM-------CM--------RM Ross----Davis----Tansey-------? -------------A.Shinnie---------------- (advanced position) We have numerous players capable of playing in wide positions even with Hayes and Doran out. Sutherland, Foran, Ross, Chippendale to name just a few It is not helped by the fact that quite a few players are playing nowhere near their potential. I think the team needs a real shakeup and changes MUST be made to arrest this poor sequence of form/results If we cant get the tactics correct, or the formation, or the personnel then what chance do we have!!

On his day he can be a great player, i thought he was a bit anonymous on Saturday though. Didnt give the defence enough protection and gave the ball away too many times, like numerous others i must say. He will be a useful member of the squad until he returns to Wolves in January

  19. personally i have no idea, i am not privvy to avaliable players/transfer lists/wage limits/scouting info but i'm sure Terry has a vast amount of agents/players in touch all the time. IMO i think our defence and striking departments are a bit on the weak side where as we have a strong midfield (when all fit) To put it simply i believe that if the likes of St Mirren and St Johnstone can sign the players such as StevenThomson, Cillian Sheridan, Sandaza etc then we should be able to attract players of similar calibre
  20. I think they are becoming more frequent now that there is no reserve league Given the amount of players returning from injury or looking to improve match fitness then i think its a good idea I was dissapointed when the SPL scrapped the reserve league system as it was a great way to keep fringe players match fit, help injured players gain fitness and also blood youngsters against SPL quality

  22. No reason why we shouldnt go for another loan deal. Like you say loan deals are less costly and risky and there is no reason why we cant attract someone akin to Sheridan on loan who IMO is a pretty good player
  23. From 6 month loan deals expiring?
  24. Main areas for improvement is centre half and striker. Our defending this year has been abysmal, it certainly hasnt been helped by injuries but we seriously need to strengthen this position St Johnstone made a pair of very shrewd acquisitions in Sandaza and Sheridan this year. Granted Sheridan is only on loan but it shows that lower end SPL clubs can still sign decent forwards. No reason why we shouldnt be able to also
  25. Victoria Park in Dingwall; very often you can be watching a game with a couple of hundred unfortunate others yet when the announcer reveals the attendance there are a few thousand invisible spectators hidden somewhere out of sight
