  1. Yup....agreed, one year deals do not offer much security. Im not a fan of them at all. I find them to be slightly negative in outlook. My English Team (Newcastle) seem to be one of the few who still hand out 5 yr deals
  2. I too think we will unearth a player of at least equal ability to Tansey...if not...BETTER!
  3. Im all for the deadline. As others have stated, for all too long, players have had the odds stacked in their favours, keeping clubs in limbo....while the players size up other options. I only want commited plyers at ICT....not hounds for the pounds types....regardless of who it may be
  4. I want Bayern to win. Theres two teams the get up my nose in England....Chelsea and Liverpool.......so id back anyone against that pair
  5. I was sitting watching the build up to the Champs league final, when it showed footage of the Olympic Stadium (Bayerns old home) filled up with bayern fans, watching the game on Big Screens. I got to wondering, why is that stadium still standing. Id have thought it would have been flattened after Bayern left. Anyone know what, if anything, its being used for?
  6. Impossible to say at this moment in time, how well the teams will do. I agree with Scotty, i do think C*unty will offer way more of a challenge than Dunfermline did. I also agree that Hibs will be a different proposition next season. All of Which, is bad news for ICT, unless we make a few amazing signings, as we could well be even weaker next season, unles TB has something up his sleeve, which, im not too positive about
  7. Good luck to him. Fair enuff, he wasnt a star player, but he was a grafter and always gave 100%. But, i think the time was right to move on
  8. Pretty sad about Bolton going down. Id much have preferred that the likes of Wigan went down. Al be hoping that West Ham win next saturday
  9. I was channel hopping all afternoon. Amazing stuff. Well done to Man City, even tho, im not a fan of teams being bankrolled to sucsess
  10. Re: "The Million Dollar Question" I dont think its much to shout about, having claimed only your second back to back win in a whole season, in a game which was meaningless, against a weakend team who had a cup final coming up the following week. Things on the pitch have to improve greatly next season, or we will be in deep trub!
  11. Yup....methinks that will be the last game wee see Hayes in ICT colours. He may well be moving onto bigger things, but not nescescarily better things!!
  12. I dont like county. Its a good old fashioned, healthy dislike for a local rival. It begins and ends with football....outwith that, i have nothing against Dungwall. I hope next season that Ross County lose every game and get relegated. I too cannot get my head around the fact that ICT "fans" will regularly turn up and contribute to the coffers of County. Maybe this mentality is strictly a highland thing? I already belive ICT has the least "fanatical" support in Scotland. By that, i mean, i feel that a lot of people who attend ICT games are fans of football more than they are dedicated fans of of ICT. hence why this sort of behaviour dont suprise me. Maybe im too old school? I myself, while i used to be a regular attendee at ICT games, till a few years ago, and whilst i love to see them doing well, my passion for them is nowhere near what i had for Caley in the Highland league.
  13. I for one, really hope the HMRC play tuff and go after EVERYTHING Rangers tried to cheat their way out of paying. Why should they get away with paying a pitance instead of what they owe. I dont really care if the team goes down the swannie
  14. Im pretty sure i remember Rossco being signed when we were at Telford Street, and playing too
  15. I think its time for Ross to call it a day with ICT. Id rather see him got out on a relative high. Move him on, free up a wage, bring in some fresh blood with the future in mind. His best days are behind him, and we cant afford to be nostalgic and carry passengers. Every place in the squad is precious
  16. SMEE replied to Caley's topic in Caley Thistle
Isnt that kind of Penalising ICT for the actions of Rangers FC? On the Bill Miller offfer. Its disgusting what he is expecting to get. Trying to get away with only paying £6m on debts of over £100m is taking the ****....and IF HMRC etc go for it, its sending out the wrong signal, but hopefully those concerened will do the right thing and refuse the offer. Not only that, he wants to keep the best bits and be allowed to continue as tho nothing was ever done illegally. If anyone of us dared avoid taxes for a year, they would throw the book at us.....lets hope Rangers are made an example of.
  17. I cant afford going to games as it is (pretty much) so any other financial help from me is out of the question
  18. If Rangers were sent to the lower reaches, i think that would be somewhat evened out by county coming up for us. So i doubt we woud see much decline in a seasons income, unlike every other SPL team
  19. I think this season has been the worst i ever remember for an Inverness team creating chances i have ever witnessed. On that fact alone, i think its pretty hard to go pointing the finger at the forwards. I think Tade had a reasonable first season at a much higher level and Billy MaKay sounds at least like he is a grafter. On that basis, i would keep them both and look to take in a seasoned campaigner to play up alongside them. I think Tansey and Proctor should be moved on, and i think having Tuffey as a benchwarmer most weeks is a luxury we cannot afford. That sed...i dont have mutch faith in TB to improve on what leaves during the summer, but hopefully he will play a blinder and unearth a couple of gems.
  20. A sign of how difficult times are when some people cant afford bog roll
  21. Yawwwn Let's be honest here and this is not exclusively your problem you and the rest of the happy clappers are fantasists not realists like myself I've been called a County fan, an Orc fan etc etc on numerous occasions but it's like water of a ducks back I am ICT although seriously disgruntled and I like many others will be limiting my games next season as the football served up is Pish ICT are presently not going in the right direction only a bampot would argue otherwise Dougal Dougal, you make some valid points but then you spoil them. The fantasist thinks ICT have a god given right to be in the top half of the league with a team of stars. The realist thinks we are doing very well, with our financial handicap, to still be in the league. ICT, like St Mirren, Aberdeen, Killie, Hibs, St Johnstone etc will always be fighting to stay up first and foremost. The rest will be a bonus. Thats the view of a realist. Agreed, I just don't think we are fighting this season and we're just lucky there's worse than us, that's the sad thing This is my main bugbear, going by what i have witnessed
  22. Who could forget this Classic.
  23. Id like to add my condolences to the freinds and Family of the fan that Died. So sad to go to a game of football, never to return. RIP
  24. 2 of our three remaining games are against teams fighting for their SPL survival. Im taking nothing for granted.
  25. Im pretty sure we will get the one point that should assure ICT of staying up (barre a miracle run of 6-0 or better results by dunfermline in their next 3 games).
