  1. I suggested something like that yesterday. But I could see that there would be security problems. So I also suggested that a few folk formally request to meet some of the powers-that-be. I would suggest that this is at a venue chosen by the management - most likely at the stadium - and would be mainly to hear to what the plans are for the club and team are. Yes, we are all concerned at how things are going, but confronting management with a litany of complaints would be the wrong approach. That could come later, if dialogue is established. We can belly-ache as much as we like here, but this is just a fan forum and the management are under no obligation to take notice. They are also under no obligation to respond to a request for a meeting, but I would hope that an opportunity for controlled, temperate, two-way communication would be welcomed. How you select the folk for the meeting, I don't know, since - unless I'm wrong - there isn't an official Supporters' Club.
  2. The Courier says, in an article published yesterday (Wednesday) and updated this morning (Thursday) that "Ross County and Caley Thistle will hold press conferences today, with Draper sure to dominate the chat ". I have no idea whether today means Thursday, or perhaps Friday if the article is primarily intended for the print edition. Edit - 5 minutes later - have just realised that the Highland News is carrying the same article, so ignore my comment aboit the Courier print edition.
  3. So why not organise something for the next home game? Keep it positive - "please tell us the plans for team and club". Another suggestion might be to arrange a meeting yourselves, and invite the Chairman, COO, manager, etc. Although I acknowledge that there would be difficulties in keeping it under control. Is there still an official Supporters' Club? Its officials and a few representative members could seek a meeting with the club. Just a few suggestions from 550 miles away. "It doesn't have to be like this All we need to do is make sure we keep talking"
  4. Wasn't there the idea - back in the early days of the club - of using Clach for that?
  5. Well if there is, it's not on their website...
  6. Two goals according to the Beeb.
  7. I've lost track a bit, but I think we could field an entire team of goalkeepers.
  8. He's full of Bols, He's big and blue, Our lucky* charm, Our boy named Sue. *I'm assuming that Felitciano means "lucky".
  9. Maybe so, but they clearly don't have a full squad.
  10. Thanks, Dill5, that would fit. I'd checked the Jags Honours Board, but had missed that. Would be good to see another one, to confirm. And welcome to the forum!
  11. 1955. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1954–55_Scottish_Cup#Fifth_round Result was 1-1. Caley won the replay 2-4, and then got tanked 0-7 by Falkirk. Accepting advertising from the competition - "George B Rodgers ex Chelsea FC" I suppose his money was as good as anyone else's
  12. Well here's one for you, CB, which may be of more consequence. My grandfather played for Citadel, and I think this is the only honour that he won with them - Inverness Charity Cup 1923-24.
  13. I had thought of that, but would have expected an appropriate image on the front - not a footballer. And would have expected it to say "Inverness Thistle Social Club", not "F.C".
  14. Can anyone tell me what this medal is? I picked it up for next-to-nothing on eBay a few years ago. It is sterling silver, so not a giveaway, but it's clearly not for a major competition. The hallmark is from 1975, which fits in well with the short shorts on the footballer. It's 2.5cm in diameter, so the photos are larger than life. Maybe a youth tournament or something like that?
  15. Maybe if he selected Mulraney he'd be able to do that. Or are today's team listings wrong?
  16. Buckie in the bottle - Buckie Thistle strip!
  17. I think it could well be back on the table in a couple of years time, once the shape of the Brexit deal is clearer. Although it might also depend on how many more general elections we have had by then. Here in England, people were compaining about 2 GEs and the EU referendum in successive years. Scotland has also had the indyref and the Holyrood election, so you must all be sick fed up of campaigning politicians. I feel that election fatigue must have played a large part in apparently reducing the appetite for indyref2.
  18. Many more years ago Aberdeen 'A' twice won the Highland League
  19. Far too early for thinking about the foreword. We haven't even worked out the basic plot or the characters
  20. ...and why didn't he have a travel insurance policy which would refund him if he cancelled because of suddenly becoming chairman of a football club?
  21. We would be an interesting challenge for him. Could he get us promoted at the first time of asking? And could we get him to invest some money in the club? Dream on...
  22. And John Barnes has 79
  23. Must be why Wenger is saying that his future will be clear by Thursday.
  24. I watched it again recently, and I still got really tense and nervous during the second half! The shop still has 443 copies of the DVDs, at a fiver each
  25. Thanks, Eye Settee. I thought he was Canadian, and was confused by the official news release saying that he was born in Inverness. But could well be correct, of course. He also had a white flash in his dark hair in the post Ziggy Stardust days. Played in the school basketball team alongside our very own IHE, IIRC.
