  1. Im not sure ICT banked "financially" on being an SPL team next season, although i agree that there may have been a " we'll go straight back up" mindset. I also enjoy the 1st Division more that the SPL, but alas this division doesn pay the finances we need to survive. If we do get an 18 team SPL then im sure there will be a better challenge. And yes Dundee are well into Jittersville I think any talk of jitters in the case of Dundee is well premature, especially in games against us, as, in our last two headtoheads, it was quite clearly us who got the jitters. I think they have shown they have the ability to steel themselves.
  2. Another option is that the OP moved house and forgot to tell the bank, ICT and the finance company, thus not getting the statements. Despite the humiliation and so on, it is not the club's fault, (unlike many other things) so, whilst I agree it could have been handled better, a bit churlish to miss out on the fab footie we are getting just now.
  3. Great result, they made it look very easy. No passengers tonight. Fabfabfab.
  4. Cracking. Another Graham Spiers moment. I'll take some ketchup, but hope it won't be needed.
  5. I agree. Anything less than a strong win will be a major morale slump for the team, fans, management. And by that criteria, it is a must win.
  6. ISSUE: Price. The most basic commodity a cup of tea, has risen by 40p or so, with no discernible improvement. There is no extra milk on the stand opposite like there used to be. CHOICE: As, a vegetarian, I expect a limited choice, but imagine my disappointment when I found out they were sold out of Maca Pies, half an hour before kickoff. I never asked again. ISSUE: Queues. We go down and join the queue with little expectation of being served. Not like the old days, whan at least you had an outside chance. ALSO: What are the cost benefit justifications of employing kids from Edinburgh. Can we not keep their no doubt meagre wages in the Highlands.
  7. Paul of the Ritchie. I'll have the gold-plated Mini Metro, please, Bob.
  8. This is what I was thinking. A 2 goal fightback is the game of champs, not losing a two goal lead. Two dropped today, but, hey, at least Dundee will be thinging the same way. We probably just cleared the path for County! Wounded, but not fatally.
  9. Fab!!! Lets hope we can stay here. 32 mins to go.
  10. Unfortunately, no-one will be as well-rounded a player as Bobby Mann.
  11. Talk slower Richie. lol It's called The Blarney.
  12. Astonishing, when you see how many we miss.
  13. I would think you will be instook for that, TSNY, in case you throw it as Esson, Sanchez or whoever we have decided is the current scapegoat. Besides, if it was a good idea, you don't think they wouldn't have banned it, do you? btw Tesco used to sell, or may still sell, wee self heating cups of black coffee, but they are small, quite expensive, and have an effect similar to Viking beserker juice. Two sips and you would be over the fence for a brawl with Esson, Sanchez etc etc I'm taking my Kelley Kettle.
  14. ."I was a bit disappointed in some of them and I know a few of the other players were too The above should maybe answer your question John I think there is a world of difference between grumbling when something goes wrong and booing. The boos are intended to be heard by the team and act as a disincentive to play well. Foran has made it quite clear that the players do not respond positively to this. What more do you need? Boo at the end, by all means, but while the game is still alive, don't kill it. Gordy, were you at the match? Did you hear ICT supporters booing ICT players? Sorry if this is such a diificult question. Not too difficult, mate, either question. Yes, I was at the match. No, I did not hear any booing.

  16. This is good, rather than bad. I just wonder if they have a "conditional clause" in their contracts, varying the rate should we go up to the SPL.
  17. My thoughts exactly. He was not having a good game today, but we still dropped down when he left. He needs to be inegrated in a special way, and to have some shooting practice.
  18. Going forward, we are capable of beating anybody, but the defence is still shaky. Iwill blame the cold and the on-of progress of the season. There is little point in slagging Rooney - he is flawed as a player, and that is why he is here. He is also the best we have. Russel worked hard and seemed to want to get his place back. Also he seems like one of the few that can hit the ball from outside the box and not put it over the bar. Blondie seemed to starrt strongly and go of the boil after their first goal. At 2-0 I thought that, if we can get one before half time, we can take something because Ayr were nothing special. Their third goal wasn't in my script though. Ref was a balloon, but top marks to him for getting bought by Munro's showmanship. Two points thrown away, we will need to score a barrowload against Moorton to get the spring in the heel back. Or at least win, as Dundee will want to put down the threat to their title hopes at the soonest opportunity. But, God I missed going to matches, seemed like an age, since last there.
  19. True, but there's seems to a few players in the current squad that are seen as untouchable. Rooney's one, Tokely's another, along with Butcher. What a frustrating team this is. Capable of so much and yet so little. They are a joy to watch when they are motivated and very confusing when not. No one won today, but Dundee, and they weren't even playing.
  20. I was going to say, nerves of steel, legs of concrete, but that would be unfair. No he's a fairly safe penalty takes: that scare a few weeks back probably focussed him a lot more. I wonder if he is as good as Sheerin? Big job for the Statto, there!
  21. This from Google News Article, on Countdown Contestant Carlisle "Queen of the South midfielder Ryan McCann found the absence of a TV acted as a springboard into German philosophy. McCann said: "As daft as it sounds, I never even had a telly in my flat - and you don't know how much you miss it until you don't have one. When it's not there you end up reading a lot of Nietzsche and things like that."" Don't tackle him, Rosco! Anything that doesn't kill him makes him stronger!
  22. Honeymoon effect or not, Butcher is now proving the mettle of his managerial record and the value of his signings. Whether we go up or not, he has done a lot to instill confidence in the fans this season. I have no doubt that this side could have held their own in the bottom half of the SPL if we had been saved. Onwards and upwards. Oh as a PS, I think the upturn co-incided with his finishing the Scotland job though.
  23. Partick are still in the running as well. Don't think Partick are going to do much more. Nor the Pars.
  24. You forgot to add Barrowman too. Just one off those things. If you count the cash coming in at the gate instead of the heads, the difference would be vast compared to last year,no TV money, hospitality takings down and no SPL cash. It was pretty severe last night, I thought it was quite mild today but a bottle of water had completely frozen overnight in the boot of the car. mmmm must have been below zero, then.
