  1. I think that is right. The team were overawed, and didnt have the fans to make them feel at home. Also "occasionals" tend to take these things a lot harder. I spoke to several Staggies yesterday who were "gutted", but the "real fans", (god I hate that term) knew that the slate is already wiped clean, and they have next season to look forward to. I wonder how many of the 17k that went will go back to Viccy Park. The joys of being a wee team.
  2. I'd love them to be promoted. Two extra home games a season.
  3. They certainly were not nearly as good as the side that played us the first couple of times. Stagefright, I suspect. tbh I am a little disappointed, not that they lost, but that they didn't turn up. On the other hand, their winning would have been unbearable. Added bonus of a giruy Barrowload!
  4. Ahem! "top prize of ?100 worth of East Kilbride Shopping Centre vouchers "
  5. I don't know why that nickname doesn't stick.. fits him perfectly You should have seen Colin Mitchell when he was a kid in a Caley strip!! :021: Well done David and this is rather a nice idea on the part of the East Kilbride paper too, isn't it? Just thinking that too , Charles, quite innovative really. Helped, I suppose by the fact that EK has a large population and no major football team; their local heroes are quite scattered. I wonder could the Courier or HN do something the same? Does Inverness have any players further afield that Sneck, Dingwall or Peterhead?
  6. Andy Warhol stated that a work of art is worth as much as anyone will pay for it. He then went on to prove the point by selling a painting of soup tin for $Xm. We have no "soup tins" in our side but a few talented footballers. However, it is a buyers rather than sellers market down here. The big clubs know that ?100k is a lot of money for us, and a night out for a Rangers continental import. Trying to set a monetary value on any player is silly, until you know who all wants to buy.
  7. I am pretty sure Granty would be glad to get rid of it, to someone who is more vocally assertive. He has not improved since he has been captain. Bring it on. Also an indication that Foran may just consider staying for a while...
  8. I thought it a mistake at the time, and saw it as an admission that our season was done for. How wrong I was. Maybe he has found a better niche with Hamilton. As has been shown time and again, we never know what goes on behind the dressing room door. And it is better that way.
  9. Tokers, no doubt. 90s? Paul Sheerin, for the double. Nah, probably Charlie.
  10. Yeah, Scotty, I know. Not sure where it went wrong for him in his career, but I just have a feeling that maybe his temperament problems might return, especially if he becomes a marked man. On the other hand, he seems to suggest that he is a calmer person now. As I said, hope I am wrong.
  11. After a good start and a bad patch, Bully was beginning to hit some great form towards the end. So not too pleased to see him go, but politics or language may have been at the root of things. We have a new centre back anyway. Tokely to name. In fact they swapped positions in the last few games. Stratford, of the English signings never really did it, but Eagle also seemed to be coming on again towards the end. Shame on Duff and Alison though. And as for Lionel, like a ticking bomb, he will explode somewhere else.
  12. Few wrong there, IHE. Too hard on Golly by a long way. Two at least. Roscoe will be a three, at least if he stays at centre back. Granty down to 3 I am afraid. He will be found out. Duncan, for some reason has had a great season, 2nd half anyway and there is no reason to think that won't continue. A 4. I am putting myself on a limb here, but I have a suspicion that Foran will not find this division to his liking. Hope I am wrong. Down to 3. Eric is improving every game and will continue to do so. Up to 4. LDZ - offski.
  13. Great news! I am sure Sanchez will repay the vote of confidence too.
  14. Nice chap. I had a wee chat with him. He obvioulsy still feels attached to the club. It must be a pishoff to be out of football when that is all you wanted to do.
  15. SoS had a short shared article, a kind of 1st div highlights. We had a paragraph.
  16. It has to be Nessie. All others are imposters.
  17. I'm in.
  18. I was thinking about KA, yesterday, how he would justify his presence on the park. Was he even on for part of a game this eason?
  19. I got mine this morning. A nice touch, bit of class. NOt even trying to sell anything. Not directly anyway.
  20. If it is BBC, it's true. Except for the spaghetti harvest, of coourse. Hope they realise that they need another couple of season's at Scotland's top level to mature as players.
  21. Well that certainly applies to Mikey Fraser, innit? :D
  22. Panini Stickers!!!!1111!!!!!!!!!!!
  23. The Mighty Wah - Story of the Blues Ignore the video. Cracking choon.
  24. 0-2 for Ayr.
  25. God for him, and good for you. If it had been possible, I would have preferred he stayed, but no matter.
