  1. Oh dear :( He talks a good game, Kaka indeed, I am looking forward to seeing him.
  2. I wonder was the last plaster/bandage thing a war wound. Nonetheless guilty or innocent, I hope that The Board do not include a transfer listing as part of the punishment, if punishment, there be. It's not as if he had been snorting coke at a festival, is it? Oops, allegedly.
  3. Terry will not like this. Just out of plaster
  4. Yep, I'm with McGhee, too fairly luck to ride out the storms from last year, and if they don't start strongly the moaning will start again. Aberdeen are such overexpecters, just from one cup win 20 odd years ago! SPL, more Lennons than the Beatles.
  5. I have followed The Blackstars throughout this competition and the last one, and hoped that they would make the semi, and whilst the best African team at the tourney, were probably pushing their luck. The draw had been kind to them with Uruguay and if they were going to progress this was their chance. I too think the Uruguayan acted instinctively, (just as a striker does when heading a corner for example) but that excuses nothing. As the Uruguay coach said, he broke the rules, he paid the penalty, but we did not make Gyan miss the kick. tbh I suspected a lot worse from the U's due to a lot of previous cheating. I thought about Rooney, when Gyan stepped up for his shoot out kick; Adam did someting the same recently - was it against Partick - where he missed one then slotted in the other soon after. The problem penalty wise was Mensah, who looked sluggish the whole game, and the young lad who took the last one. You would be hard pushed to find two worse penaltys. Ghanaians, and Africans in general, do not do "pressure". Anyone who has waited in a post office queue for the clerk to finish their nap, will know about that. But things are changing, as the raw talent and enthusiasm, of which there is an anormous amount, gets taken up by European sides. They will continue to fourish, though gradually, but the Blackstars caught the imagination and later sympathy, of the world.
  6. It must not interfere with the path of the aquifer. The Overda Bar.
  7. That is bang on the money. I think we may spring a few surprises this year, but we better watch our stars.
  8. If the club get the cash, I don't think folk would mind paying pub prices, but nothing extortionate. Maybe the supporters trust could run it...
  9. The Radio Times had him billed as manager of INverness Caledonian Thistle. Which is nice.
  10. Excellent. I bet they build it too small. Will it have home and away ends?
  11. Dingwall! A Dingwall in an ICT shirt! Will he be ICT-minded, I think not!
  12. Why is it sad that a private individual who lives in Liverpool was not noticed by the club? Do I need to tell the club when I go to Africa and tell the locals about ICT? A bit harsh, not to mention out of place given the tone and nature of the other posts! Not out of place at all. Gordy was, in my eyes, criticising the club because they didn't know that an ICT fan was doing the 7 peaks challenge. Please tell me how that is the club's fault? Reading all the news coverage, the only place that actually mentions he was an ICT fan is in the local newspapers. The nationals certainly do not make any mention of the fact that he was an ICT fan. All they mention is that he was a police officer from Merseyside. Not quite, EWS. My last line was a suggestion, that if ICT were told he was climbing Everest, they may have found a way to celebrate that fact. I would not obvioulsy expect ICT to keep track of all their fans doings to see if any popped up above the "newsworthy" radar.
  13. What is saddest is that the club didn't know about this in advance. Something could have been organised to celebrate his effort in advance. But a celebratory walk would be a good remembrance. Anyone else on this site doing anything noteworthy?
  14. As opposed to Parking His Car Outside The Millburn Chippy, as most folk do. Gotcha.
  15. Two days before Christmas, a few years ago, upstairs in Woolies, (remember that) there's Craig Brewster standing in front of the Barbies speaking in a mobile phone. "Naw they've got the Princess one, but not the Hoolywood one, though they have got the Ken with the sports car...etc etc " I thought about saying something witty like, "Hope you are better at picking dollies, than players, Craig" but that was a fortnight later. Oh yeah, and he was with a pretty girl.
  16. I remember sitting near him at the Lemon Tree and explaining to one of the other players how cakes were made. Obviously a thinking man. One of my fave ever ICT players. Good luck, Paul.
  17. Gosh. Was that quite sudden? He was along at the end of my row, with Jumbo and Bobby Noble. I think he will have been glad that ICT went out on a high. I am sure Mantis' Caley site has him a in a few pictures. RIP.
  18. Jeez. I had forgotten all about him. *shudder*
  19. With its development plan, good transport links, proximity to the city centre, North Kessock must be the obvious choice.
  20. Yes, but where does he stand on the pies issue?
  21. Get well soon, big guy. Maybe we could raffle or auction his old knee?
  22. Boom tish. The oldies are the best. When I lived down Leith, I mind seeing the Hibs team coming down Easter Road one lunch time after a training run, and Alan Rough's eyes being diverted by a pretty girl (must have been a visitor). A Leithy wag spotted this and shouted "Forget it Roughie, even if you caught her, ye'd probably drop her!"
