  1. This whole situation sheds light on why Arsenal haven't won anything for years. Arsene Wenger has a great eye for individual talent, but not for team players. Adebayor, like lots of Arsenal 'stars', is a repulsive human being with the mentality of a spoiled child. He wouldn't last 5 minutes at Man Utd without Fergie giving him a black eye.
  2. Burley is a clown. Anyone who thinks the (chuckle) Caldwell brothers are good enough for international football is a muppet. As for selecting Chris Iwelumo ahead of Chris Boyd? Absolute tosh. Get him out. We played well against Holland at home but it was too little too late, GTF Burley.
  3. The business? Nah, nae chance. How many top sides would Defoe or Barry get a game for? It's all very well humping Croatia, but put them up against Germany, Holland or Brazil and their @rses will collapse. There's more chance of Caley winning the Scottish Cup than a repeat of 66. Don't believe the hype.
  4. Could't care less about the cups. The league table never lies.
  5. The flyer for Belladrum had a 'famous scots' version of the sergeant peppers cover... http://www.tartanheartfestival.co.uk/ Take your pick.
  6. I'm proud to say that the award for the worst tackle ever belongs to a Scotsman. You can probably guess who. :025: Fast forward to 1.55
  7. Didn't see this one coming. :009: Hastings was dreadful last season and hasn't produced any performances of note in an ICT shirt for quite some time. If we were offered a fee for him then fair enough, we'd be crazy to turn it down IMHO. But Golabeck??? A bit of a 'creative' signing there to say the least. Would we not have been better off giving Richie Byrne a chance?
  8. I think Butcher go 'Sergeant Hartman' on Lionel (our equivalent of Private Pile ). That'd do the trick.
  9. What is a degree worth these days? In my experience, not much. Particulary in a soft subject like psychology.
  10. ---------------------Esson-------------------- Tokely------Bulvitis------Munro----Hastings --------------------McBain--------------------- Hayes-----------------------------Djebi-Zadi ---------------------Cox----------------------- --------Foran-----------------Odiambo-------
  11. Here's another shout, assuming he has recovered from his niggling injury by now bring back Markus Paatelainen. His combative style would be perfect for the SFL.
  12. The fact that the decision to sack Brewster and Thompson is being questioned is quite incredible IMHO. I never expected us to get to such a low point where we would start to get nostalgic about the Brewster era . It reflects how dissapointing Butcher and Malpas have been IMHO.
  13. Not convinced by Butcher at all. He talks a good game in the papers but doesn't deliver on the pitch. Are we any better now than when Brewster was in charge? Is the team fitter? Better organized? Playing better football? Scoring more goals? Nope. If anything we have gotten even worse. We were bottom of the SPL when he took over, we are 7th in the first division now, and only a fortuitous last minute winner in our opening game preventing us from being in the relegation zone, and a penalty shoot out lottery from being out of the cup to montrose. I would give Butcher and Malpas until Christmas to turn things around. If we are still mince then it's P45 time! Robbo, get warmed up son.
  14. He played really badly today so he did. Therefore he should never play again!!! It's all his fault. If it weren't for him we would have won comfortably today and probably be top of the league, perhaps even top 6 of the SPL. Not to mention the fact that he is to blame for global warming, international terrorism, and swine flu. I f"""ing hate him!!!
  15. First Oasis break up, now this. Get Robbo and Pele back in the dugout.
  16. A truly shocking performance from ICT today. Quite worringly, Ross County looked like a far better side than us and fully deserved to win, in fact we were lucky it was only 3-1. Hard to think of any positives quite frankly. Esson, Eagles, Cox and Bulvitis probably did almost enough to earn pass marks, everyone else was poor. Foran and Sanchez, where the f"ck is the movement? They're the most static striking duo I've ever seen. No wonder we struggle so badly to score goals. While Foran never shirks a challenge when the ball is delivered straight to him, what else does he actually do? Not much. Considering his experience and quality we really need alot more from him. Sanchez? He looked like a bit of a luxury today, not sure why he was selected for this derby fixture. The wingers never really got any joy from the county full backs. Stratford was awful, never really got into the game and kept passing the ball back to Djebi Zadi even though he was having a mare. Roy McBain should be given a run at number 6 ahead of Stratford, he brings far more to the team. Lionel needs to be dropped next week, he looked a broken man at full time today! I've never seen him play so poorly. Hastings has waited long enough for a run out, hopefully he comes in with a point to prove and does a job for us. And Tokely in at right back for Proctor, that's a no brainer. Butcher didn't look like he had a plan B. When the game was slipping away from us the only change he made was to switch Eagle and Hayes wings, to little effect. It seems that every time he hypes up the team in the papers (the boys are going to give their all, we know what its all about, they're working so hard in training etc) we fall on our @rse. At the end of the day, County were better organized, they played better football, and their players wanted it more than the ICT players. We are in 7th place and deserve to be there. But for an injury time winner at dunfermline we would be in the relegation zone. Butcher, FFS get it sorted man!!!
  17. They haven't released an album worth paying for since the masterplan. They should have broken up years ago while they were still icons, then they would be legends like the stone roses (or take that :)), and their fans would remember them as they were at their peak and yearn for a reunion.
  18. Dingwall was originally founded by Macbeth in 10 A.D. and was called Macbethville until the year 109 A.D, when the Vikings arrived for a holiday. The Vikings liked Macbethville so much that they decided to buy the town from Macbeth for two bags of shells and a handful of salt, which they thought was very good value. After their takeover, the Vikings transformed Macbethville into a holiday camp and renamed the town Viklins. Viklins proved to be very popular and people would come from far and wide for a one week summer holiday where they could enjoy sports such as knobbly knees contests, three legged races and gurning. Viklins continued to be popular until 840 A.D. until the arrival of the Tinks who were experts at avoiding bill payments and refused to leave. The Tinks stayed and bred eventually taking over Viklins and some of the surrounding area and eventually the name of Viklins changed to Tinkwell which has now become what we know and love as Dingwall.
  19. Murdo MacLeod is another who always sticks up for Inverness, possibly owing to his Highland roots. It's a shame there aren't more northern voices on radio scotland. I always thought Charlie Christie would make a good pundit.
  20. To be fair that petition only had like 300 names on it when I read it, less than the 'give marius a work permit!' petition. Incredible how some americans fully support their country giving billions of dollars to israel (with it's appaling human rights abuses) but will initiate 'collective punishment' on an entire nation because it's legal system is too compassionate to the terminally ill. Where is the logic with these people? They're every bit as bad as the flag burning muslims boycotting denmark over a cartoon.
  21. Stupid yanks http://www.boycottscotland.com/
  22. Customers in TK Maxx pay the staffs' wages there too. As a customer, does this entitle me to pop in every second Saturday and shout abuse at the checkout girls for 90 mins? You can't really conflate a checkout girl at TK Maxx with a professional footballer earning a grand a week. Even so, if you were short changed and received goods or services of inadequate quality, you would be perfectly entitled to complain. It would obviously be wrong to 'shout abuse' at somebody who was trying to do a job but simply wasn't very good at it. ICT have never been world beaters, and expectations of what can be achieved on the pitch have to be realistic and fair. But considering the time and money most fans invest in supporting ICT, it isn't unreasonable to expect 11 well paid professional footballers on the park to give 100% effort for 90 minutes once a week in return. If fans don't think this is the case, they have every right to vent their feelings from the stand. It's part of football, and anyone who can't handle that should either grow some b"lls or find another hobby.
