  1. This is a poor decision IMO. Russel Duncan = hard work, commitment, reliability and experience. He's being thrown on the scrapheap at 30 after 10 years outstanding service. It's a disgrace. This isn't just an abomination on sentimental grounds, it makes no footballing sense. We're replacing a rock with an unknown quantitiy. It sends out the message that the club is not a meritocracy and has no respect for the aforementioned qualities. We would rather give a short-term loan contract to an unknown english championship rookie than retain a reliable, experienced stalwart who loves the club and the fans. It's a joke.
  2. Hope they go down. Bunch of anti-football, dirty, diving, time wasting, cheating b@stards. Good riddance to bad rubbish.
  3. He played advantage after he'd already blown the whistle, whats wrong with that?
  4. Good idea. How about a tournament with ICT, Ross County, Elgin and Clach? (or perhaps the last slot could be the reigning Highland League champions rather than Clach) Good crowds and revenue guaranteed.
  5. If he was actually a good player wouldn't Raith fans be trying to deter us from signing him rather than giving us a sales pitch? Be wary.
  6. Don't expect common sense from the council. Some of them actually want to make all pubs and clubs CLOSE at midnight. Until more liberal minded folks decide to stand for the council these Bible bashing killjoys will continue to impose their will upon us. As long as they are in power Inverness will always have a curfew, only have a handfull of premises with a late liscence, never have a casino etc. The best thing you could do would be to research which councillers are FOR the curfew and which are AGAINST then name and shame on your facebook before the election.
  7. Couldn't believe it when I heard the game was off today. Have to agree with the Celtic fans 100% on this one, no point in defending the indefensible. If the roles were reversed we would be saying exactly the same things. This is an absolute JOKE. Thousands of fans inconvenienced, out of pocket and time wasted. TV money lost. Celtic fans threatening to boycott away games with ICT in the future. All because we are apparently incapable of dealing with a bit of overnight rain in April. Either we get the drainage system sorted or invest in a simple pitch cover which would prevent this happening again. The groundsman is against pitch covers? I don't care. I'd rather have an imperfect pitch which is PLAYABLE, than a perfect pitch which is always UNPLAYABLE whenever it snows or rains. End of rant.
  8. All the way through our downward spiral over the last 4 months we've had Golly and McBain fit and available for selection. Experienced, vocal, hard working players who could have an influence on the pitch. But they've been completely shut out. Butcher apparently even favours Duff and Munro at left back to Golly, the man who was the lynchpin organizing our defense last season. Baffling.
  9. 2 good keepers, Esson doing the business in the league, Tuffey doing the business in the cups. Harsh to drop the man who helped get us here in the previous rounds.
  10. It would be easy to blame the weak referee and all of the soft free kicks he awarded at the Celtic end for tonights result but this is starting to become a bad habit. The reality is we were the architects of our own downfall. Both of Ledleys goals were gifts from our makeshift defense. Highland league marking. Tactically we sat deep and seemed content to hoof the ball into empty space rather than try to construct a move for the majority of the match. When you make no effort to pass the ball or get men forward you don't deserve to win. I would rather 'we have a go' in a home game vs Celtic in the Scottish Cup quarter final and make a spectacle of it rather than play an ultra-defensive lineup and negative, scrappy football. For sure the players worked hard but for ?21 I would have preferred a bit more positive attacking football from us. Just found the game to be a bit of an anti-climax, meh.
  11. I have a bad feeling about this one. 2-0 snow.
  12. The solution to this problem is simple. We need to be more streetwise. If you are fouled GO DOWN. If you are recklessly fouled STAY DOWN. If your opponent is on a yellow card PUT HIM UNDER PRESSURE. If your opponent is a hothead WIND HIM UP. Common sense would help our cause.
  13. In the old days we were DESPERATE to draw the OF in the Scottish Cup, now we're dissapointed - how times have changed!
  14. Don't know what the Huns are complaining about. Lee McCulloch does that every week.
  15. Rooney is our Andy Cole, he misses so many chances but still somehow always ends up being our top scorer.
  16. Do we really need entrance music? We're in the SPL, not the WWF.
  17. Where were we sitting in the table this time last season?
  18. When the penalty kicks dry up, so do Rooneys goals.
  19. Maybe someone should call him a waah-mbulance. According to the P and J, the waah-mbulance driver was on his tea break.
  20. Have to disagree with you there. He always seems to be a thorn in our side when he comes to TCS. He hasn't done so well at Hibs but he was a great player for Killie.
  21. Agree with that, it it weren't for Golly shoring up the defense last season we wouldn't have got promoted.
  22. What happens in Butlins stays in Butlins.
