  1. It would be easy to blame the weak referee and all of the soft free kicks he awarded at the Celtic end for tonights result but this is starting to become a bad habit. The reality is we were the architects of our own downfall. Both of Ledleys goals were gifts from our makeshift defense. Highland league marking. Tactically we sat deep and seemed content to hoof the ball into empty space rather than try to construct a move for the majority of the match. When you make no effort to pass the ball or get men forward you don't deserve to win. I would rather 'we have a go' in a home game vs Celtic in the Scottish Cup quarter final and make a spectacle of it rather than play an ultra-defensive lineup and negative, scrappy football. For sure the players worked hard but for ?21 I would have preferred a bit more positive attacking football from us. Just found the game to be a bit of an anti-climax, meh.
  2. I have a bad feeling about this one. 2-0 snow.
  3. You can't beat Clach Park imo.
  4. The solution to this problem is simple. We need to be more streetwise. If you are fouled GO DOWN. If you are recklessly fouled STAY DOWN. If your opponent is on a yellow card PUT HIM UNDER PRESSURE. If your opponent is a hothead WIND HIM UP. Common sense would help our cause.
  5. In the old days we were DESPERATE to draw the OF in the Scottish Cup, now we're dissapointed - how times have changed!
  6. Don't know what the Huns are complaining about. Lee McCulloch does that every week.
  7. Rooney is our Andy Cole, he misses so many chances but still somehow always ends up being our top scorer.
  8. Do we really need entrance music? We're in the SPL, not the WWF.
  9. Where were we sitting in the table this time last season?
  10. Rory is better than Barrowman.
  11. When the penalty kicks dry up, so do Rooneys goals.
  12. Maybe someone should call him a waah-mbulance. According to the P and J, the waah-mbulance driver was on his tea break.
  13. Have to disagree with you there. He always seems to be a thorn in our side when he comes to TCS. He hasn't done so well at Hibs but he was a great player for Killie.
  14. Agree with that, it it weren't for Golly shoring up the defense last season we wouldn't have got promoted.
  15. What happens in Butlins stays in Butlins.
  16. The more towns, clubs, players and fans involved in the top flight the better. A bigger league would give teams the leeway to try to play entertaining football, give local youngsters a run in the first team and reduce ticket prices.
  17. He deserves a chance.
  18. We need to do more to connect the club with the local drinking culture. Give out a few discount tickets to landlords during the week, and run a bus to and from the stadium which stops at almost every pub along the way.
  19. Why change a winning team?
  20. This isn't reality, this is football.
  21. I bet they were chuffed when they saw the headline "Calderwood new Hibs manager".
  22. Because Yogi is aff his heid http://sport.scotsman.com/sport/Grounds-for-optimism-Hibs-boss.6513571.jp
  23. How many of them were Penalties?
  24. Just out of curiosity, how many goals do we need to score away from home before we can do the conga? It must have been close.
  25. Classic Walter Smith signing in the same mould as Hately and Ferguon. Anti-football all the way.
