Robbo extends contract
As for commenting upon this topic yes, we do live out of Scotland, but maybe we are also seeing things from a more dispassionate (i.e more pragmatic) viewpoint. Otherwise it seems as if we in Scotland will always be kow-towing to the Europeans and living by their rules (which are frankly really archaic). By switching to Summer football all the advantages recognised by the U.S and Canadian teams will be adopted, the terracing will be fuller with more spectators going to matches, ice creams can be consumed by standing spectators which one would never do in the Winter ) and so on. And the experience of going to an event is much more pleasant. Weather is more predictable also, Etc.

QUESTIONS / OBSERVATIONS TO THE BOARD
- Neil McCann Sacked
And we still have John Robertson. Lang may yer lum reek, John...……... Yes!- QUESTIONS / OBSERVATIONS TO THE BOARD
Just get a small delegation going and ask for a meeting. If not , why not? The Board must see you in person and judge whether or not your thoughts and comments are meritorious (to their ears) or not. AND carry a list of these arguments that you can leave with them. Then they have to reply specifically .. either at the meeting or shortly thereafter in writing. Ask for this. Dress up nicely and be polite but persistent and prepare your arguments against tedious rebuttal. Then they will see you mean business. Finally, ask for a response(written) within a specified time frame. You have to meet them in person and put their feet (politely) to the fire. Make sure all 3 or 4 -or 5 of you agree on the details of your presentation so no slip-ups occur during the meeting. Or, IMHO, alternatively, small talk ourselves into the distant future. This thread now needs to act or close.- Potential Winter signings...
Is Nick Ross's career coming to a close? The answer to that is all we need to know at this time. BUT IT DOES NOT LOOK AS IF HE HAS ANY INTEREST IN REJOINING ICT IN THE NEAR FUTURE SO give him a nice welcome and a cup of tea and then say "Nick, how old are you now? And what can we do to assist you at this time. Anything or nothing? As for Usain Bolt just remind him that one of our past (ex Rangers) players who became captain of the brilliant Caledonian team of yore was one named Bobby BOLT :-- Grizzled, toothless Bobby who done his job of marshalling the troops really good, like. "And this, Usain, is a club with a storied past, namely our most recent Scottish cup win. (shows him the video and the joy etc) You will also learn a lot from our young, talented, hungry and ,yes, speedy team who will also learn a lot from you as how to get speedier. Man, it's a marriage made in heaven except for the money, old fruit, which is not great but Inverness is a lovely place to relax and..... if you see NESSIE... then you may never want to leave...………. " Well, I can dream can't I, eh? P.S. Heh, stranger things have happened. If you don't try then you don't get. Will certainement put Caley Thistle on the global map again.- Robbo extends contract
I've heard that story before so there is no solution then unless we get everybody else on board. Which is unlikely to happen. I suppose?- Carl Tremarco comments
People want to savour a win and the good feelings last for days. But a draw seems little more than a wishy- washy performance and maybe the team got lucky?. People want to see more goals too. I think.- Robbo extends contract
Caman is right. Summer football will save the team and others. So what's stopping the Beaks from at least trying the changeover? Are they inflexible ? Are they stuck in the mud of their dotage.? Why? It benefits everyone. The players, the staff, and the crowds can relax and bring the weans . Otherwise where are the future ICT fans going to come from? Only IHE is immortal so if the weans are not introduced at an early date then what is going to keep them . ? They HAVE to get the bug. Over and out.- Robbo extends contract
Depends on whether I am drunk or sober, I suppose, Gregor.? But you are right ...it's not as bad as the Vancouver Canucks ice hockey team results so far. They do have some good players but other factors take a toll too. e.g. bad injuries, rookies not doing what they should and therefore achieving less than they otherwise might be able to achieve, etc, despite their obvious and sometimes electrifying talent. When a Manager decides to make a wholesale change in the type of personnel he starts with you can be sure there is bound to be teething troubles from the get--go. And yet at that stage of the process he is on a hiding to nothing because if he sits and does nothing then nothing is likely to change. And if he makes all the changes he needs too quickly he must know that it will take time to rebuild a team,,,,,,.- QUESTIONS / OBSERVATIONS TO THE BOARD
Och! I'm only teasing you, old chap. "'cos I know you love it and can tease right back in spades. By the way, How does one speak Canajin, like? Believe it or not the purer the accents become going from the Deep South of the USA up to, and through, Canada. And a lot more interesting as well. Now, back to business. That wannabee Canajin that you mention sounds like quite a guy. Stick with him and live and learn, I say.- Robbo extends contract
BDU Unfortunately the Ronaldo's of this world are very hard to find at the price we can afford. and J R will have his hands full in improving results I am afraid. It's like the Vancouver Canuck-another terrible start to the season despite declaring the club's intention to go with youth and greater speed etc, . Yawn !!!!!!! I will believe it when it happens. The road to hell is paved with good intentions. And, Frank Kelly speaking, I don't think there is a desire to spend money because I also don't think it is available at this time So....whew!- QUESTIONS / OBSERVATIONS TO THE BOARD
IHE Wot's yu got against Canajins, eh? Be nice now and I'll send you an Eskimo's fur coat for yer Christmas. That will allow you to attend more matches in the freezing cold of a Scottish Winter. Once you have mastered the art of wrapping yourself in Polar Bear fur I'll send you a racing sledge so you can entertain the troops at half times. The huskies might prove to be a problem though. When they think the signal to mush is about to be given they howl and yelp as if their mother had just hoven over the horizon with a couple of baby seals in her pouch. It's gonna be fun Itchy.. If you win the Iditirod big race I'll help you to celebrate by holding your winnings in custody. I wouldn't trust them thar Mounties though. They will remand you in custard at the slightest twitch of yer bunnet. Especially if yer drunk and incapable., like. Aye.......O.K. Mush, mush boys. We're off. Wheeeeeee! Aye, mun, wha's like us, eh?- Queen of the South - 29th September
Oh IHE, you are awful,...... but I like you.- Queen of the South - 29th September
I'm impressed by the way this new team is playing. Impressive So fast and great footie. Young team and so clever to boot. The modern game seems to have changed radically since I last watched them in person...and, by the way, that was not that long ago. Smile.- On the question of Derby games
- ICTFC : SUPPORTER LIAISON OFFICER
As Monsieur Trump has found out , continuance of dialogue is the only way to hash out a viable compromise when conflicting factions and interests clash. Right now, Canada and the U.S. (Under Trump) seem to be nearly at the breaking point regarding trade relations etc. and unless he adopts what I am talking about (continuous dialogue) it could result in a bleak trade situation.....for BOTH countries. So, continuing contact and diplomatic dialogue appears to be the preferable option. Right now, the expression (heated or otherwise) of any hurt feelings that might currently arise might stand in the way of progress. Why? Because the club is the stronger party and , as one former employee of mine once told me when I fired him for negligence a long time ago, "You will get more with honey that with vinegar!" Currently "The Donald" (ours, not the U.S.s) seems to be doing well and is on the right track. "Enough said, soonest mended." Och Aye!- DERBY RETURN MATCH FOR OVERSEAS SUPPORTERS (Ross county)
True fan and no mistake. I wish I could have gone to the match also.- Player of the Year - Ross County
- Where are our subs at Robbo?
It seems as if you are saying that he deliberately did not sub players because he felt comfortable with the situation and expected a draw would be the outcome and reasonable from his point of view. Well, he's the boss, so it may be a question of whether it was a 6 or half a dozen that mattered?. ?- Ross County -V- Inverness CT
Both goalies were great!. They were mostly to blame for the lack of goals. Great atmosphere and a very entertaining video. Finding Joh Robertson's comments after the match was difficult for me but I managed it. For those of us who are older, thought to be decrepit and no longer "with it" as it were, posting comments like J R's on the actual match thread would be greatly appreciated. Why? because we oldies don't have a Twitter account , nor Facebook account and probably for the most party don't even have a cell phone. Just a polite request/plea for a more regular approach to disseminating the highlights and post match comments etc. Thank you. Otherwise, that was a great game of football and also the atmosphere was terrific. When the stadium is full like that it sure makes a difference doesn't it? Cheers, S.P.- Ross County - 22nd September
Mantis….Smile!- Top of the League and your no
At least the horse looks perky!- Patrick another 3 points!!
He didn't fit in so I suppose that's the end of that story and he is no longer at our beck and call.- Ross County - 22nd September
Willie Collum. Well at least our team will get as many fouls in our favour as the other team. Should work out quite well...…? - Neil McCann Sacked
