The club change one of their two strips every year so this will happen every time the sponsor changes .... although I could see the point of synchronising it with the home kit. Having said that, I think the new away strip will be a huge seller and with it not changing for two seasons then buyers will get a full two years out of it before the sponsorship deal comes up for renewal.

It appears to be the same as last season with the exception of the new sponsor ... so its still great. Dont think anyone got "ripped off" considering ICT are one of VERY few teams who dont change both strips every year or issue a 3rd or even 4th kit. The design of each kit changes every two years but the addition of a new sponsor is a commercial issue .... would you rather turn down 500K ??? I still have and wear ICT tops that have Citylink, Scotrail, Sharp and OneTouch - far from being a rip-off, these "old" tops serve to show that I have been an ICT supporter for a long time (and still fitting into a top I bought more than 10 years ago is also very satisfying ;)) !!! Maybe ICT could produce iron-on sponsor logos for those who want to cover One Touch with FlyBe in the same way that they did when the Scotrail/Citylink change was made although personally I think that would look pretty naff !!!

Give them a chance ..... they probably only got the tops in the last day or so and the press release likely went out as soon as the photographers had been at the stadium !!! When i first read the article, it appeared without a photo so that suggests that Fiona only got it this afternoon from the photographer. I am sure it will change very soon.

At the end of the day France SHOULD beat us. On paper, they are superior to us at every level. However, Football is played on grass and not paper and over 90 minutes anything can happen. ICT have shown time after time that form or perceived quality mean nothing .... wins over Celtic and Hearts while still a lower league club ... 7 points out of a possible 9 against Rangers last season ..... As Jimmy Greaves used to say every Saturday lunchtime ... "Its a funny old game ....." and Scotland CAN do it, the question is WILL they do it.

Here's a few Toronto ones I like - "all together" - used when the supporters groups are trying to get the various sections back into the same timing !!!! - "Its all your fault" - shouted at opposition keeper when we were 3-0 up in last home game - funny as fcuk at the time - he turned round and smiled & - cult hero Danny Dichio gets the treatment - thinking the same tune could be adapted to -Rossssssco- - same tune could be used for I-N-V ... E-R-N ... E double S spells INVERNESS ......

There is something totally unconnected to this subject in the post as we speak ... and it was sent before you mentioned that little factoid :015: :015:

As CD says, there are many forms of EPOS so that in itself is no indication of what they are planning. I cant help thinking that the Toronto model might just work here ....... At TFC I have been supplied with my normal season tickets, each ticket has a barcode on it which is scanned when I get to the stadium gates. If I need to leave the ground for any reason I am scanned out and scanned back in again when I return. All of this is done reasonably quickly using a wireless handheld scanner linked to the ticket Db. When the scanner scans the barcode it either shows a tick or a cross. If its a tick I get in, if its a cross, I dont (fortunately never had a cross yet). This could work for the singing section if fans were scanned out of the main or north stands and scanned into the singing section. Because its all stored in a database, the club would also be able to pull data from the system to see which fans consistently went to that section and perhaps even give them priority for big games !!!! It would also serve to considerably speed up the entry into the ground at the turnstile bottlenecks !!! Now here is a clever part ..... TFC has linked with Ticketmaster (but ostensibly it could be done with anyone who has the technology) and after registering on the official TFC site I can view all my ticket information online. When online I have several options (up to 2 hours before kickoff). I can reprint tickets if I have lost or forgotten my originals or I can email them to any email address. When you reprint or email the tickets a PDF file is either downloaded or sent to the email address and this has a new barcode on it. You print out the PDF and either you or the person you emailed it to can show it at the gates for scanning. If you try to use the original ticket, it wont work as the validity of the original barcode has been cancelled. The "email your ticket to someone else" part of this scenario could work for a ticket exchange program ..... you organise online (on a special board on here perhaps as suggested earlier in the thread) for a ticket swap to take place and then using the system you each email tickets to the other ... hey presto the ticket situation is sorted.

please confirm total amount required if paying using this method ... it was £10 per share + £ ? to cover admin costs ?

As I posted earlier in the thread, I think its a good idea in principle, and one that everyone (club, fans, website(s) and stewards) could and should get behind to make it work. If asked, we will be happy to help in any way we can with the process. I have no doubt that the club have been working hard behind the scenes to try and get it up and running before the start of the season, especially as it has the full backing of the Chairman which is important. Whilst we can perhaps criticise certain areas of the plan for lacking some of the minutiae that will be required before launch, I have no doubt that the whole planning, costing and logistics that have been gone through so far have not been 5 minute jobs. The minutiae will come, and hopefully the launch will not be rushed and then prove problematic (or to be another PR disaster) but rather - as CD mentioned above - dot all the i's and cross all the t's even if it means it isnt in operation for the first home game of the season. I do agree with Caley D about the meeting however. Whilst it is admirable that both the Chairman and DoF attended and "openly answered questions", I cant help feeling that it was an opportunity missed in some respects as they had the opportunity to put this whole Dunfermline thing to rest by making a statement available prior to discussing what are very good ideas. Until the cloud hanging over the Dunfermline incident is lifted, any talk of the singing section is likely to have a number of "What if ...." questions attached to it and that could prove to be a cumbersome millstone. I am glad that those who attended the meeting feel that they had their questions answered as that is important, doubly so if they have been vocal on the subject as some have. For those that have been vocal about this and couldnt be bothered going to the meeting then sorry, you had your chance and the excuse that you didnt know what questions they would be answering doesnt wash. If you feel strongly, you go along and you ask your questions anyway. if they dont answer them then you ask them again until they do. if they flat out refuse to answer questions then you are free to have a moan and shout it from the rooftops. If you didnt go because you couldnt be bothered, then you have no real justification for being vocal on this subject any more. For those that couldnt go because of work, or because of geography (eg. myself, Caley D, IHE, Gringo etc etc) then we have to try and raise points on here in the hope that someone else can ask them or that the club might see them and consider them. I want to be positive about this whole initiative but I cant do that 100% until questions that were raised about an incident that happened 46 days ago, and promised by various parties to be answered in a reasonable timescale are addressed.

As we have said on numerous occasions, we have always been happy to offer help or be a part of any process that assists the fans of ICT. I would have only one stipulation about any request of this nature (once they decide whether they actually want us to be a 'tool in the process' ;)) and that would be for the club to give us the courtesy of open, honest and full communication about any process we are asked to be a part of, something that has not always been the case.

Its a start ... here's my tuppence worth !!! If the mess of the Dunfermline game has been cleared up then I think its a good thing and the board and supporters trust are both to be applauded. However, if it has not, and we have seen no statement from anyone to suggest that any resolution or conclusion has been reached, then I reserve judgement on what is basically a good idea until said incident has been cleared up to the satisfaction of those involved ........... there is a reference to a different 'style' of stewarding in an earlier post so maybe I am being too pessimistic. In principle, the idea sounds good. Unless you know you are going to want to sing at every game and therefore buy tickets specifically for that section then you can buy season tickets elsewhere in the ground and move over when you feel like it .... got a sore head one day, stick to the quiet sections ...... need to sing out and enjoy yourself then off you pop to the singing section ..... However, one thing concerns me and that is that it seems for 'big' games its just going to be another normal section ? as there is no guarantee those who want to sing can get in and those who don't can get out !!! I guess there has to be a little compromise somewhere in an effort to help pay for it etc and what is proposed does sound good. However instead of being negative about the fact that it will be a normal section for some games, I actually have a couple of suggestions for the club as they seek to organise this. I hope these are somewhat constructive as they are based on my experience of the "supporters section" that Toronto FC initiated in their new stadium. 1. Please make it clear on tickets for this section (if possible) or on signage if its not possible to put it on the tickets that this is the "supporters section" and therefore there is likely to be more noise/singing than in other sections. Dont want the sweetie rustlers losing their way and ending up standing sitting next to IHE and then complaining. :crazy07: 2. Initiate a "ticket-exchange" program for bigger games. There will undoubtedly be those who want to keep their normal seats in the main and north stands but may want to go into the singing section for bigger games. Conversely, for these same bigger games, there may be supporters whose only option was to buy singing section tickets but they want to be in the quieter bit. The ticket exchange program could be done through official channels if there is a way to make the ticket system at the stadium work online and if it offers this capability, conversely it could be something as simple as an additional message board on here (which would have to be sanctioned by the club before we would permit it) where users could make requests or offers to swap tickets. no selling would be allowed, just swapping tickets. We would be happy to provide the means to make the swap service available for ICT fans (and the club) if they were to sanction it. This works really well for Toronto FC who operate both schemes ... I can officially email my tickets to myself at work through ticketmaster (at no charge) if I forgot to take them with me for example, or I can email them to someone else if I cant go to the game. On the unofficial side of things, I can also offer up my tickets for sale or swap on one of the unofficial sites (at face value or below) which is sanctioned by the club and moderated by the board owners.

would it be ICTs first black player? excluding ashikodi/ fetai/ namouchi or who ever it was from rangers on loan to answer the question, yes he would be, but to be honest, I (and most other ICT fans) would be more interested in his ability than anything else ........

sounds like he might be looked at to fill the spot that was there for Buchanan rather than as a replacement for Dargo ?
