  1. Guess it depends on whether the shop software can do it or not and whether the club eventually signed up for automated charging as opposed to the manual method it began with (I dont go further than looking any more as the postage prices are extortionate). When we had the shop running on here, and previously on SportNetwork we just added the new stock and put it into the description that it was a pre-order item and that the card wouldnt be charged until the order was processed after the stock arrived. Andrina is pretty organised and this worked without a hitch.
  2. Is it ? Does it still run ? Guess you will have to take your chances then .....
  3. While I tend to agree with that statement, especially as one of the people who has previously talked at length about keeping our wage structure in place and intact, I was somewhat heartened that the deal may still come to fruition after reading comments from Grassa in the Courier ..... http://www.inverness-courier.co.uk/news/fu...s_ICT_deal.html This suggests that the club may be looking to keep the player within the wage structure and hoping that one of the main sponsors steps up to the plate to top-up the offer. This might be do-able. Even if we dont get this particular player, it certainly suggests that the football management side of the club from Chairman to DoF and Manager are actually doing what many of us have asked which is to look further than just the Highlands for talent that will improve the team. I am also optimistic that the Romanian connection will be a **** site better than anything we (never) got from the Sheffield connection !!!
  4. Mr Smeaton has made it onto several news broadcasts over here and the subject has been discussed on many a radio talk show - especially the one I listen to as I drive home. all showing him and Scotland's reaction in a very positive light. I hope he takes up the offer of all these pints and also the undoubted media interview and appearance offers he will get over the next few weeks ... enjoy it while it lasts John, your star will fade as quickly as it rose My favourite video shown on TV over here - considering that most were shown once and never repeated or re-filmed so they could get him to speak more slowly and with sanitised or less colloquial language is the one I saw on CNN ... The interviewer asked him how he came to be outside the airport at just the right time and he started by saying ..... "I was outside having a fag .....". I had visions of the gay movement hogging the internet and booking flights to Glasgow in their thousands .... some slang terms just dont mean the same over here :015: :015: :015:
  5. maybe a taxi perhaps ? - split a few ways its not much more than bus fare !
  6. oompa - loompa -doopedeedoo .... OMG MCDonalds scored two ..... oompa - loompa -doopedeedee .... and another, now its three ......
  7. See Fixture Page : http://www.caleythistleonline.com/index.ph...&Itemid=279 note: Celtic-Killie is the Sunday game and the Edinburgh derby is on the Monday.
  8. At 21 I wouldnt expect him to be the finished article, but from what we have all seen on YouTube, he knows his way around the penalty box. A few goals, good effort and teamwork and the boy will be just fine. He wont be the messiah but if he can start banging a few in he will be a firm fan favourite.
  9. feckin big hands :015: :015: :015: distant relative......
  10. so my previous post was pretty much spot on then ?
  11. We can pull it off if the player is prepared to take something at the top end of ICT wages until such time as he catches the eye of one of the OF or a team in the Premiership or championship .... reading various articles, that is pretty much what Grassa, the Chairman and the player are saying .... Grassa initially cautions - his financial demands may be too difficult to make The player says - its a big deal and if i can score a lot of goals i may get a big move Grassa then says - even if we could get him for a year that would be terrific sounds like discussions went well and the player is considering the "short term pain for long term gain" aspect of signing for ICT - get his foot in the door of the SPL, score a lot of goals and move for a big payday .... if he does that, then on this occasions we can have no complaints as we will know from the start that this is the ultimate aim. ..... even if we dont get him, :clapping03: to the Chairman, DoF, and Manager for even trying to do the deal.

  13. I suspect so. The more I thought about it, the more I thought that at worst, someone probably deleted an excel file they were using as a 'working' file on their local machine and couldnt get the info there and then. there was most likely a master file and/or a backup as well as the ticketing database which i suspect is backed up extremely regularly by the suppliers. if the club dont have a specified plan for backup/recovery and they have had a scare of this nature then I dont really want to hear about it .... just want the club themselves to realise that they have to make sure that a procedure is in place.
  14. He could be great, he could be cr@p, he could get injured, he could bugger off down the road after a sensational season .... perhaps this is the risk that a number of posters have said they would like to see Charlie take ?

compared to Deano .... he is
  16. That sounds about right - looking at the website, you can see a definite decrease in appearances, goals and international caps as the years have gone by. Hopefully he may be looking to rekindle the form he had at the top of that page when playing for Dinamo Bucharest - 100 games / 43 goals ... also 8 uefa cup goals in 12 games (5 for Dinamo, 3 for Sporting) .....

tall and fair haired -- did he have a bit of a gut ? was it Grassa ? :015:
  18. If they dont have a disaster recovery strategy that not only includes the regular (secure) backup and (off-site) storage of critical and sensitive information such as this then whoever is responsible for their IT strategy needs to be deleted from the staff !!!
  19. I didnt mention risk - I only responded to your assertion that the UK was the #1 target by pointing out that the terrorists own (published) list shows the UK at #3. I do concede that the difference between #1 and #3 may be minimal and the choice of one over the other has more to do with opportunity than the position on the list. Risk is an entirely different matter and I tend to agree that logistically it may be easier to target the UK but for some reason I have more faith in the UK security services to minimise the risk in the UK than I do in the similar bodies in either the US or Canada to minimise it within their own borders. At the end of the day, I am going to take the Michael Bloomberg approach and be aware that there is a threat but not let it consume me over all the other 'normal' threats that exist in day to day life.
  20. it quotes Grassa as saying we are holding talks with the lad though, not really rumour is it and thats why its not been moved
  21. By the terrorists own admission, Britain is #3 after "The Jews" and "America" and I agree with the earlier posting that to most terrorists the differentiation between Scotland and England is at best fuzzy. If its on the island, its a target. Where I would agree with you is that if a home-grown terrorist or one who has spent some time here has any say in where they attack, then it is more likely that it would be further south.
  22. Its a non-story .... why would there be any news ? He still has a year of his current one to go.
  23. Have always agreed with that - never said we were ever "a prime target", just that we would always be "a target", independent or not. Scotland (as well as Wales & Northern Ireland) contain targets that although of "lesser importance" to the terrorists than just about anything in London or the big cities of USA still have the effect of making the news worldwide and disrupting people in Toronto, New York, Washington etc when something happens. This whole plot, whilst it appears amateur in its execution appears to have been carefully planned and the perpetrators dont appear to have raised any eyebrows when getting ready for it ... and that is worrying. Terrorist attacks are like icebergs Hamish .... you only see the small tip, but there is a lot more to it than the bit you actually see. We are lucky that our security services - for the most part - ensure we dont see the rest of the iceberg by nipping a lot of these ideas in the bud. In Toronto 30+ people were arrested before Xmas for plotting stuff here. Recently, people were arrested In Los Angeles for plotting to blow up fuel lines under LAX airport and those are only the ones that have made the news. That propoganda video that surfaced 10 days ago is not only a speech to "graduates" in the videos but seen as inciting people already in Canada and Germany and who may sympathise with certain groups to think of "joining the fight". Many in Canada see it as a only a matter of time.
  24. Denzil & Dean - got to be something in there about Double-D's :001: :001:
